A series of novel TIQ based N,N′-oxide ligands were synthesised and screened for their catalytic activity in the enantioselective conjugate addition of thioglycolate to chalcones. Bulky groups on the side chain of the TIQ backbone provided the highest enantioselectivity of up to 88% with 10 mol % catalyst loading. It was also observed that these reactions proceeded optimally in the presence of dichloromethane as a solvent. Screening of various metals emphasized La(OTf)3 as the ideal pre-catalyst for this particular reaction.  相似文献

Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) measurements were performed on poly‐ε‐caprolactone (PCL) films at different stages of the postplasma‐grafting process. PCL films prepared by solvent casting (SC) or electrospinning (ESP) yield very similar EPR spectra after Ar‐plasma treatment and subsequent exposure to air, but the EPR signal is much stronger in the PCL‐ESP films. The free radicals appear to be mainly, and possibly exclusively, oxygen centered. The radicals generated by UV irradiation in PCL‐ESP films were studied in situ with EPR, using a UV‐LED (λ = (285 ± 5) nm). Their EPR spectrum is distinctly different from the plasma‐induced signal, indicative of carbon‐centered radicals, and appears to be independent of the plasma pretreatment. UV‐induced homolytic splitting of (hydro)peroxide bonds was not observed. Both the plasma‐ and UV‐induced radicals decay at room temperature (RT), even in an inert atmosphere. This study demonstrates the potential of electrospun films and UV‐LEDs for the study of plasma‐ and UV‐generated free radicals with EPR in polyesters, and raises questions with respect to the validity of some generally accepted molecular mechanisms underpinning the postplasma grafting technique for polyesters. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Ozone adsorption and decomposition on metal oxides is of wide interest in technology and in atmospheric chemistry. Here, ozone‐adsorption‐induced band bending is observed on Ti‐ and Fe‐oxide model surfaces under dry and humid conditions. Photoelectron spectroscopic studies indicate the effect of charge transfer to O3, which limits the surface coverage of the precursor to decomposition reactions. This is also consistent with the negative pressure dependence observed in previous studies. These results contribute to our fundamental understanding of ozone adsorption and decomposition mechanisms on metal oxides of environmental and technological relevance.  相似文献

In this work, we report on the reduction of tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) with dicationic complexes of guanidinyl‐functionalized aromatic (GFA) electron donors. In contrast to reduction with free GFAs, milder reduction conditions were achieved, and this led to semiconducting materials with extended TCNQ π stacking. The charge on the TCNQ units was estimated from the structural data obtained by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis and from IR spectroscopic data. The electrical conductivity was studied and the activation energy of the semiconducting materials was estimated from the temperature dependence of the conductivity.  相似文献

The development of a predictive model towards site‐selective deprotometalation reactions using TMPZnCl?LiCl is reported (TMP=2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidinyl). The pKa values of functionalized N‐, S‐, and O‐heterocycles, arenes, alkenes, or alkanes were calculated and compared to the experimental deprotonation sites. Large overlap (>80 %) between the calculated and empirical deprotonation sites was observed, showing that thermodynamic factors strongly govern the metalation regioselectivity. In the case of olefins, calculated frozen state energies of the deprotonated substrates allowed a more accurate prediction. Additionally, various new N‐heterocycles were analyzed and the metalation regioselectivities rationalized using the predictive model.  相似文献
