Invariant Pseudolinearity with Applications

In this paper, we introduce the notion of invariant pseudolinearity for nondifferentiable and nonconvex functions by means of Dini directional derivatives. We present some characterizations of invariant pseudolinear functions. Some characterizations of the solution set of a nonconvex and nondifferentiable, but invariant, pseudolinear program are obtained. The results of this paper extend various results for pseudolinear functions, pseudoinvex functions, and η-pseudolinear functions, and also for pseudoinvex programs, pseudolinear programs, and η-pseudolinear programs.     

Generalized vector variational-like inequalities and vector optimization

In this paper, we consider different kinds of generalized vector variational-like inequality problems and a vector optimization problem. We establish some relationships between the solutions of generalized Minty vector variational-like inequality problem and an efficient solution of a vector optimization problem. We define a perturbed generalized Stampacchia vector variational-like inequality problem and discuss its relation with generalized weak Minty vector variational-like inequality problem. We establish some existence results for solutions of our generalized vector variational-like inequality problems.     

Systems of quasi-variational relations with applications

In this paper, we introduce a system of quasi-variational relations (in short, SQVR) and present several examples which show that it is a very general and unified model of several problems. We establish the existence of solutions of SQVP, in general, and several other problems, in particular. As an application of our results, we derive maximal element theorems and a collectively fixed point theorem for a family of multivalued maps. As further applications, we study Ky Fan type inequality / inclusion problem for vector valued bifunctions which includes constrained Nash equilibrium problem as a special case. We also present a common fixed point theorem for a family of multivalued maps. The results of this paper improve and generalize several known results on (system of) quasi-equilibrium problems, (system of) quasi-variational inclusions, constrained Nash equilibrium problem, collectively fixed point theorem and KKM type theorems for a family of multivalued maps. Our results also contain several results which appeared in recent literature.     

An Iterative method for nonlinear variational inequalities arising in elastoplasticity ∗

In this paper, we study an iterative method, which includes the Ka?anov method as a particular case, for solving nonlinear variational inequalities of the second kind. A convergence result is also proved under suitable assumptions. We apply our iterative method to solve an elastoplasticity problem.     

Superintegrable cases of four-dimensional dynamical systems

Degenerate tri-Hamiltonian structures of the Shivamoggi and generalized Raychaudhuri equations are exhibited. For certain specific values of the parameters, it is shown that hyperchaotic Lü and Qi systems are superintegrable and admit tri-Hamiltonian structures.     

The system of generalized vector equilibrium problems with applications

In this paper, we introduce the system of generalized vector equilibrium problems which includes as special cases the system of generalized implicit vector variational inequality problems, the system of generalized vector variational and variational-like inequality problems and the system of vector equilibrium problems. By using a maximal element theorem, we establish existence results for a solution of these systems. As an application, we derive existence results for a solution of a more general Nash equilibrium problem for vector-valued functions.     

On the Additive Group Structure of the Nonstandard Models of the Theory of Integers

Let $\hat \mathbb{Z}$ denote the inverse limit of all finite cyclic groups. Let F, G and H be abelian groups with H ≤ G. Let FβH denote the abelian group (F × H, +^β), where +^βis defined by (a, x) +^β (b, y) = (a + b, x + y + β(a) + β(b) — β(a + b)) for a certain β : F → G linear mod H meaning that β(0) = 0 and β(a) + β(b) — β(a + b) ∈ H for all a, b in F. In this paper we show that the following hold: (1) The additive group of any nonstandard model ℤ* of the ring ℤ is isomorphic to (ℤ*₊/H)βH for a certain β : ℤ*₊/H → $\hat \mathbb{Z}$ linear mod H. (2) $\hat \mathbb{Z}$ is isomorphic to (ℤ₊/H )βH for some β : $\hat \mathbb{Z}$/H →ℚ linear mod H, though $\hat \mathbb{Z}$ is not the additive group of any model of Th(ℤ, +, ×) and the exact sequence H → $\hat \mathbb{Z}$ → $\hat \mathbb{Z}$/H is not splitting.     

Existence of Solutions and Algorithms for Bilevel Vector Equilibrium Problems: An Auxiliary Principle Technique

The main goal of this paper is to introduce and study bilevel vector equilibrium problems. We first establish some existence results for solutions of vector equilibrium problems and mixed vector equilibrium problems. We study the existence of solutions of bilevel vector equilibrium problems by considering a vector Thikhonov-type regularization procedure. By using this regularization procedure and existence results for mixed vector equilibrium problems, we establish some existence results for solutions of bilevel vector equilibrium problems. By using the auxiliary principle, we propose an algorithm for finding the approximate solutions of bilevel vector equilibrium problems. The strong convergence of the proposed algorithm is also studied.
