CoC2 synthesized in anhydrous condition exhibited cubic structure with disordered C22- orientation.
Once being exposed to water (or air), the particles behave ferromagnetically due to the lengthening of the Co–Co distance by the coordination of water molecules to Co2+ cations.
Heating of these particles induces segregation of metallic cores with carbon mantles.

A giant earthquake of magnitude 9.0 occurred in Pacific Ocean off of Tohoku District Japan on March 11, 2011. The highest seismic intensity of 7 in JMA scale was recorded in Miyagi. In the Tohoku district, around 230 buildings are seismically isolated (hereafter, SI) mainly by elastomeric isolators (seismic rubber bearings). According to the official survey reports by several organizations (for example[1]), the records of those buildings have verified the effectiveness of the seismic isolation. The response acceleration of the SI buildings was reduced by 30% to 50% of the input ground acceleration. Additionally, the difference of the conditions inside the room between SI and the fixed-base buildings was obvious as well as the damage in main structures of the buildings. The displacements of the isolators by the earthquake were around 200 mm according to the records of the instruments. As a result, the performance of SI buildings and the elastomeric isolators in the Tohoku District―Off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake 2011 were excellent, and the efficiency of the seismic isolation was verified by the records of many buildings in wide area. 相似文献

In this study, in situ synthesis of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/nano-hydroxyapatite (n-HA)/cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) organic–inorganic biocomposite porous scaffolds is reported. The effect of the CNC content on the properties of the biocomposite scaffold was investigated and characterized using field-emission scanning electron microscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, porosity and compressive strength measurements, thermal studies, and in vitro biomineralization and degradation studies. The morphological study showed highly porous structures with good pore interconnectivity in which n-HA was homogeneously dispersed. XRD analysis showed a decrease in the crystalline fraction and crystallite size of nano-hydroxyapatite with introduction of PVA and with increasing content of CNC. It was observed that the porosity decreased to some extent with increasing CNC content, while increases in the compressive strength (from 0.85 to 2.09 MPa) and elastic modulus (from 4.68 to 16.01 MPa) were found as the CNC content was increased. In vitro biomineralization study revealed the formation of apatite on PVA/n-HA/CNC biocomposite scaffolds when soaked for 7 and 14 days in simulated body fluid (SBF) solution. The obtained porous scaffolds offering good mechanical performance may provide a promising alternative scaffolding matrix for use in the field of bone tissue engineering. 相似文献

The diffusion coefficients of C(60) in dichloromethane and benzonitrile solutions containing 0.1 M tetrabutylammonium perchlorate were determined by single potential-step chronoamperometry at small disk electrodes. The diffusion coefficients of C(60) were obtained by curve fitting of the chronoamperograms to a theoretical equation by Shoup and Szabo. The values were (1.4 +/- 0.3) x 10(-9) and (4.1 +/- 0.3) x 10(-10) m(2) s(-1), respectively (the errors are 95% confidence limits). The diffusion coefficients of C(60)(-) in these solutions were measured by double potential-step chronoamperometry. The ratios of the diffusion coefficients of C(60) to those of C(60)(-) were obtained from theoretical curves of the ratios of the current at the second potential step to the current at the first one. The direct observation of the phase separation between the metallic and insulating states of 75%-deuterated κ-(ET)2Cu[N(CN)2]Br (d33) using infrared magneto-optical imaging spectroscopy is reported, as well as the associated temperature, cooling rate, and magnetic field dependencies of the separation. The distribution of the center of spectral weight (〈ω〉) of d33 did not change under any of the conditions in which data were taken and was wider than that of the non-deuterated material. A new concept for improving the laser intensity distribution on an inertial confinement fusion target using a phase-controlled multi lens array has been proposed. Circular and hexagonal element lens apertures have been examined, and the circular aperture which eliminated azimuthally asymmetric intensity distribution was chosen. The diffraction fringe of the elementary lens was mitigated in a one-dimensional lens array using edge-shaped plates of a super-Gaussian phase profile. Uniform beam profiles were obtained using a one-dimensional array with 7 spherical lenses and a two-dimensional array with 37 lenses. An approximately flat-top intensity distribution was realized with the lens array with 37 lenses. 相似文献
