Kinetic equations used to describe systems with dynamical chaos may contain fractional derivatives of an order alpha in space and beta in time in order to represent processes of stickiness, intermittency, and so on. We demonstrate for a simple example that the kinetics is anisotropic not only in the angular dependence of the diffusion constant, but also in the angular dependence of the exponents alpha and beta. A theory of such kinetic processes has been developed on the basis of integral representation and asymptotic solutions for different cases have been obtained. Summary The general course of reactions between [MCl4 ]2– (M = Pd, Pt) and primary and secondary phosphines containing phenyl, cyclohexyl, or 2-cyanoethyl groups, in polar solvents, is to yield L3MCl2 complexes which are probably ionic [L3MCl]+Cl These compounds can be isolated and characterized in the solid state, but in solution they are labile, and tend to react to give phosphines plus L2 MCI2.  相似文献

The formation of the compound RSnX(acac)2 (acac = 2,4-pentanedionato) by reaction of bis(2,4-pentanedionato)tin(II) on a halide RX with R = CH3, C2H5, C4H9, C6H5, CH2I, (C6H5)3SnCH2, (C2H5)3SnCH2 and X = I, Br has been studied by polarography. At 25°C, it is in fact an equilibrium whose constant has been measured. The intermediate formation of the ion-pair [RSn(acac)2+X?] has allowed us to explain the experimental results.  相似文献

A physics-based model is proposed to derive approximate analytical expressions for the cavity component of the free energy of hydrophobic association of spherical and spheroidal solutes in water. The model is based on the difference between the number and context of the water molecules in the hydration sphere of a hydrophobic dimer and of two isolated hydrophobic solutes. It is assumed that the water molecules touching the convex part of the molecular surface of the dimer and those in the hydration spheres of the monomers contribute equally to the free energy of solvation, and those touching the saddle part of the molecular surface of the dimer result in a more pronounced increase in free energy because of their more restricted mobility (entropy loss) and fewer favorable electrostatic interactions with other water molecules. The density of water in the hydration sphere around a single solute particle is approximated by the derivative of a Gaussian centered on the solute molecule with respect to its standard deviation. On the basis of this approximation, the number of water molecules in different parts of the hydration sphere of the dimer is expressed in terms of the first and the second mixed derivatives of the two Gaussians centered on the first and second solute molecules, respectively, with respect to the standard deviations of these Gaussians, and plausible analytical expressions for the cavity component of the hydrophobic-association energy of spherical and spheroidal solutes are introduced. As opposed to earlier hydration-shell models, our expressions reproduce the desolvation maxima in the potentials of mean force of pairs of nonpolar solutes in water, and their advantage over the models based on molecular-surface area is that they have continuous gradients in the coordinates of solute centers.  相似文献

The orientations of water molecules next to metal ions in salt hydrates are useful indications of the orientations which may be expected for water molecules which are next to metal ions in aqueous solution. A survey of the data for the salt hydrates shows that a water molecule may often be tetrahedral (i.e., coordinated to the metal ion, accepting a hydrogen bond from another water molecule, and donating two hydrogen bonds) if it is next to a +1 ion, a+2 ion, or a+3 ion of the rare earth series, although apparently not for smaller +3 ions.  相似文献

Protein tyrosine phosphatases play important roles in many signaling cascades involved in human disease. The identification of druglike inhibitors for these targets is a major challenge, and the discovery of suitable phosphotyrosine (pY) mimetics remains one of the key difficulties. Here we describe an extension of tethering technology, "breakaway tethering", which is ideally suited for discovering such new chemical entities. The approach involves first irreversibly modifying a protein with an extender that contains both a masked thiol and a known pY mimetic. The extender is then cleaved to release the pY mimetic, unmasking the thiol. The resulting protein is screened against a library of disulfide-containing small molecule fragments; any molecules with inherent affinity for the pY binding site will preferentially form disulfides with the extender, allowing for their identification by mass spectrometry. The ability to start from a known substrate mimimizes perturbation of protein structure and increases the opportunity to probe the active site using tethering. We applied this approach to the anti-diabetic protein PTP1B to discover a pY mimetic which belongs to a new molecular class and which binds in a novel fashion.  相似文献

A physics-based method aimed at determining protein structures by using NOE-derived distances together with observed and computed 13C chemical shifts is proposed. The approach makes use of 13Calpha chemical shifts, computed at the density functional level of theory, to obtain torsional constraints for all backbone and side-chain torsional angles without making a priori use of the occupancy of any region of the Ramachandran map by the amino acid residues. The torsional constraints are not fixed but are changed dynamically in each step of the procedure, following an iterative self-consistent approach intended to identify a set of conformations for which the computed 13Calpha chemical shifts match the experimental ones. A test is carried out on a 76-amino acid, all-alpha-helical protein; namely, the Bacillus subtilis acyl carrier protein. It is shown that, starting from randomly generated conformations, the final protein models are more accurate than an existing NMR-derived structure model of this protein, in terms of both the agreement between predicted and observed 13Calpha chemical shifts and some stereochemical quality indicators, and of similar accuracy as one of the protein models solved at a high level of resolution. The results provide evidence that this methodology can be used not only for structure determination but also for additional protein structure refinement of NMR-derived models deposited in the Protein Data Bank.  相似文献
