One-pot combination of the Wittig olefination with oxidation, hydrogenation, bromination, and photocyclization reactions

Co-polycondensation of tetramethoxysilane, 2-diphenyl(phosphino)ethyltri(ethoxy)silane, and N-2-(aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyltri(methoxy)silane forms a heterogenized tertiary phosphine reagent (HPR) that reacts with benzyl chlorides and aldehydes to give alkenes. This Wittig condensation can be coupled, as a one-pot process, with hydrogenation, oxidation, bromination or photocyclization.     

Enhancement of Haloperidol Binding Affinity to Dopamine Receptor via Forming a Charge-Transfer Complex with Picric Acid and 7,7,8,8-Tetracyanoquinodimethane for Improvement of the Antipsychotic Efficacy

Haloperidol (HPL) is a typical antipsychotic drug used to treat acute psychotic conditions, delirium, and schizophrenia. Solid charge transfer (CT) products of HPL with 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) and picric acid (PA) have not been reported till date. Therefore, we conducted this study to investigate the donor–acceptor CT interactions between HPL (donor) and TCNQ and PA (π-acceptors) in liquid and solid states. The complete spectroscopic and analytical analyses deduced that the stoichiometry of these synthesized complexes was 1:1 molar ratio. Molecular docking calculations were performed for HPL as a donor and the resulting CT complexes with TCNQ and PA as acceptors with two protein receptors, serotonin and dopamine, to study the comparative interactions among them, as they are important neurotransmitters that play a large role in mental health. A molecular dynamics simulation was ran for 100 ns with the output from AutoDock Vina to refine docking results and better examine the molecular processes of receptor–ligand interactions. When compared to the reactant donor, the CT complex [(HPL)(TCNQ)] interacted with serotonin and dopamine more efficiently than HPL only. CT complex [(HPL)(TCNQ)] with dopamine (CTtD) showed the greatest binding energy value among all. Additionally, CTtD complex established more a stable interaction with dopamine than HPL–dopamine.     

Preparation of CTA-based polymer inclusion membrane using calix[4]arene derivative as a carrier for Cr(VI) transport

In this work, the transport of Cr(VI) ions from an aqueous donor phase solution to an acceptor phase that contained an acetic acid/ammonium acetate buffer at pH 5 through a polymer inclusion membrane (PIM) containing p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene amine derivative as carrier was studied. The Cr(VI) passed through a PIM comprised of cellulose triacetate as a support and 2-NPOE as a plasticizer. The transport efficiency of Cr(VI) was studied under various experimental conditions, such as effect of carrier concentration, acceptor phase pH, type of plasticizer in the membrane, stirring rate and membrane thickness. The kinetic parameters were calculated as rate constant (k), permeability coefficient (P), and flux (J). The transport efficiency of Cr(VI) was observed to be 95.07 % after 10 h under optimized conditions. The prepared PIM was characterized with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and the atomic force microscopy techniques as well as with contact angle measurements. This is an effective method for the removal of Cr(VI) which is toxic for human body and environment from the waste water.     

Complexity analysis research of financial and economic system under the condition of three parameters’ change circumstances

This paper studies the characteristics of a series of complex systems, which are in combination of interest rate, investment, and price index parameters meeting the condition c?b?abc??0, including stable node, saddle points, bifurcation, Hopf bifurcation, and chaos, and the corresponding mathematical expressions of Lyapunov index are given. Based on this, we perform complexity analysis of the system and study the change circumstances of Lyapunov index when one or two parameters synchronously change. Numerical simulation results verify the theoretical analysis and conclusion. The results of this economic and financial system provide reference to practical problems, and have a positive effect on the actual application of the system of this type.     

Connection and inversion coefficients for basic hypergeometric polynomials

In this paper, we give a closed-form expression of the inversion and the connection coefficients for general basic hypergeometric polynomial sets using some known inverse relations. We derive expansion formulas corresponding to all the families within the q-Askey scheme and we connect some d-orthogonal basic hypergeometric polynomials.
