The influence of potassium addition on the morphological properties of Fe/MgO and Ni/MgO has been investigated: KNO3 addition to precursors results in a decrease of the reducibility and in a smaller dispersity of the metallic phase. A loss of potassium is observed at reduction temperatures in excess of 773 K. Silica-supported Ni behaves differently: silica inhibits the potassium volatilization and nickel reducibility is enhanced. This illustrates how promoter effects can be influenced by the nature of support.

Fluorescence of the Xe2 continuum between 1460 and 1800 Å has been observed during excitation of Xe2 molecules with CO fourth positive bands from a microwave discharge lamp. Fluorescence spectra at different Xe and added gas pressures show that in collisions with Xe or Kr atoms, the excited Xe2 diatoms are efficiently relaxed to low vibrational levels of the 1Σu+ and 3Σu+ potentials without being quenched noticeably. With Kr the rate constant for relaxation out of the primarily excited high vibrational levels is found to be about 3×10?11 cm3 molecule?1 s?1. 相似文献

(M ? Cr, Mo, W). Exclusively by the reaction of the intermediately formed complex Cr(CO)5THF only one pure triiodostannidometalate(O) Complex, [N(C2H5)4][Cr(CO)5SnJ3], could be isolated. The trihalogenostannidometalate(O) complexes [M(CO)5SnClX2]? (X ? F: M ? Cr, Mo, W; X ? J: M ? Cr) could be prepared by SnX2-insertion reactions of the [M(CO)5Cl]? complexes. A simple but rapid and accurate method for the estimation of allyl in aqueous solution has been developed, based on its oxidation with chloramine-T at room temperature, in 0.5-1.0M hydrochloric acid medium. The reaction involves a two-electron change. Treating lophine with potassium at ?50° in an inert solvent yields the radical dianion 6 of this compound. The solution being warmed to room temperature, the radical rearranges to a red diamagnetic intermediate 7. In presence of potassium then the radical dianion 3 of 2-phenyl-4,5,(9′,10′)-phenanthrimidazole is formed which has been described earlier.ESR-spectroscopical investigations show, that the spin density in the 2-phenyl ring of radical 6 vanishes. Abstract— Zinc porphin is photoreduced to zinc chlorin through an intermediate dihydroporphin (PH2 ) by ascorbic acid in ethanol containing 1% to 10% (v/v) piperidine. Under the same conditions zinc chlorin is more slowly photoreduced to zinc tetrahydroporphin. The reactions leading to chlorin are photosensitized by the product chlorin and so are autocatalytic in red light. Quantum yields for these reactions range up to 0.05.Other aliphatic amines catalyze these reactions, but at rates peculiar to the amine. The immediate product of reduction of zinc porphin, PH2 , is distinguished by an intense band at 437 nm; it reverts to porphin in the dark in the presence of oxygen or dehydroascorbic acid. Its conversion to chlorin is effected by light absorbed by porphin or chlorin, but not by light absorbed by PH2 itself. A suggested structure for PH2 , compatible with the observed reactions, has added hydrogens on one bridge carbon and one β-pyrrole carbon. The possibility of an analogy between these reactions and the biochemical conversion of protochlorophyll to chlorophyll is discussed. 相似文献

[reaction: see text] The enediamine tautomer of a variety of substituted amidine free bases reacts with nitric oxide (NO) to produce compounds containing a carbon-bound diazeniumdiolate [R1R2R3C-N(O)=NO-] functional group (previously called "nitrosohydroxylamines"). The new reaction has been shown to be quite general, although the nature of the products does vary. Amidines containing more than one replaceable hydrogen produce polydiazeniumdiolates as intermolecular salts, while those in which only one diazeniumdiolation can occur provide zwitterionic salts. These diazeniumdiolated amidines are shown to be useful NO donor compounds which undergo very slow spontaneous dissociation on dissolution in pH 7.4 phosphate buffer to produce mixtures of NO and nitrous oxide containing mostly NO. The most advantageous manifestation of the new discovery is the preparation of the monodiazeniumdiolated amidine zwitterions. Reaction of the medically relevant alpha-adrenergic agonists tetrahydrozoline and idazoxan produced monodiazeniumdiolated amidine zwitterions from which NO release was observed for up to 28 days and showed little sign of ending. The reaction should be applicable to a variety of pharmaceutical agents, including NO synthase inhibitors, antitumor agents, and antibacterials. 相似文献

The electrocatalytic activity of ruthenium(IV) oxide incorporated into a carbon-paste electrode was studied in the oxidation of cysteine and cystine. The oxidation potentials of the amino acids decreased and the current peaks of their oxidation increased at a modified electrode as compared to an unmodified one. Aspects of the mechanism of the overall reaction between CaCO3/CaO and SO2/SO3 under oxidizing conditions are discussed. The limestone and lime sulphation processes were carried out in a thermobalance
under conditions relevant to atmospheric fluidized bed combustion. Sulphated samples, prepared in the form of cross-section
particles, were examined in a scanning electron microscope by energy-dispersive X-ray and back-scattered electron imaging.
Photomicrographs are presented. The reaction proceeded from the outer surface of the particles and along the pores. Surface
textural changes during the reaction were considered. The layer of products was identified as controlling both the rate and
extent of limestone/lime sulphation. In the products, two sulphur-bearing solids (CaSO4 and CaS) were identified. The presence of CaS, which may cause difficulties in practice, is attributed to CaSO3 disproportionation.
