Hierarchical assembly of homochiral porous solids using coordination and hydrogen bonds

A family of homochiral metal carboxylate coordination polymers have been synthesized by treating 2,2'-dihydroxy-1,1'-binaphthalene-6,6'-dicarboxylic acid (H(2)BDA) with metal salts at elevated temperatures. BDA ligands link adjacent metal centers to form 1D coordination polymeric chains using the carboxylate functionality, while the hydroxyl groups of BDA ligands form H-bonds with carboxylate oxygen atoms to link 1D coordination polymeric chains into open frameworks of higher dimensionality. We also present evidence for the important role played by H-bonds in the stabilization of open framework structures which allows for the hierarchical assembly of chiral porous solids.     

A facile approach to surface graft vinyl acetate onto polyolefin articles

A facile and environment friendly approach was developed to graft vinyl acetate (VAc) onto plastic articles in an aqueous solution using tert‐butyl alcohol (TBA) as a compatiblizer and benzoyl peroxide (BPO) as an initiator. In a novel setup, excessive monomer suspended in a water phase, VAc could be conveniently grafted on the model substrate of low‐density polyethylene (LDPE) film and the graft percentage (GP) could be developed up to 7.3%. Reaction temperature could increase GP significantly, while adding monomer over a critical volume did not influence GP. By adding some paradioxybenzene, i.e. 0.06–0.08% in VAc phase, homopolymer PVAc could be avoided practically, while graft polymerization proceeded favorably in aqueous solutions. It was proved by attenuated total reflection‐infrared (ATR‐IR) spectroscopy that grafted VAc was located mainly at the surface of the LDPE film and hydrophilic nature of both grafted and alcoholyzed films were improved via contact angle measurements. The Thermal Reaction of the Tris(μ-Hydrido)-Dodecacarbonyltrirhenium (o) Cluster with Triphenylphosphine and Triphenylphosphite

The thermal reaction between the tris(μ-hydrido)dodecacarbonyltrirhenium (o) cluster and triphenylphosphine or triphenylphosphite results in a trisubstituted rhenium cluster as the major product. The results of an X-ray structural analysis of H₃Re₂(CO)₉(PPh₃) are: Mr=1597.57, Monoclinic, P₂₁/n, a=15.598(1), b=9.530(2), c=41.685(3) Å, β=80.60(1)°, V=6113.(1) ų, Z=4, D_c=1.736 g/cm³, CuK_e, λ-1.54056 Å, μ-121.23 cm^?1, F(000)=3059.17, room temperature, R=0.049 for 7361 reflections with I≥2.5σ(I). The molecule has a triangular Re₂ core coordinated propellerwise by three PPh₃ ligands in the molecular plane with virtual C_3k symmetry.     

Preparation of ordered large pore SBA-15 silica functionalized with aminopropyl groups through one-pot synthesis

Highly ordered large pore SBA-15 silica functionalized with up to 16% aminopropyl groups, which gave high catalytic activity and selectivity toward flavanone synthesis through aldol condensation and subsequent intramolecular Michael addition of benzaldehyde and 2'-hydroxyacetophenone, was synthesized for the first time via co-condensation of tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) using an amphiphilic block copolymer as the structure-directing agent.     

Surface structures of adsorption layers of sodium hyaluronate and bovine serum albumin complexes on poly(γ-methyl-l-glutamate) film and their surface properties

Two-dimensional structures and characteristics of the complexes between sodium hyaluronate (NaHA) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) were studied by using a quartz crystal microbalance method and an atomic force microscope (AFM). NaHA did not adsorb on poly(-methyl-l-glutamate) (PMLG) film. On the other hand, the complexes adsorbed on it and the adsorption behaviors were found to be Langmuir types. With increasing weight ratio of BSA to NaHA, W _BSA, the adsorption constants K decreased and the saturated adsorption masses increased. The adsorbed complexes were spherical particles and at saturated adsorption states they covered compactly on the PMLG film. The mean diameters d _AFM estimated from the topographic images decreased from 70 to 54 nm with increasing W _BSA. The adhesion force F _ad and the frictional force F _f between the complex layers and the AFM tip were obtained by using the contact mode of the AFM. With increasing W _BSA, the values of F _ad decreased and the values of F _f increased. Compared with the frictional coefficient of the NaHA adsorption layer on the BSA monolayer, the values for the NaHA–BSA complex layer were found to be much higher.     

铝(Ⅲ)-桑色素-十二烷基硫酸钠体系在滤纸基质的荧光反应研究及其分析应用

本文探讨了在滤纸基质上表面活性剂SLS对铝-桑色素荧光反应的增敏作用及最佳实验条件。铝含量在0～6.0ng范围的工作曲线呈良好的线性关系(r=0.9998),方法的检测限为0.001ng。含铝4.0ng的溶液11次测定结果的相对标准偏差为4.3％。方法用于含铝水样的测定获得满意结果,回收率为96.0～100.5％。     

Synthesis of 9-(2,3-dihydroxy-1-propoxymethyl)guanine - a new potential antiviral agent

Coupling of tris(trimethylsilyl)guanine (4) with 1,2-di-$\text{O}$-acetyl-3-$\text{O}$chloromethyl glycerol (3), followed by removal of the protecting groups afforded 9-(2,3-dihydroxy-1-propoxy)guanine (1). Compound 1 exhibited potent antiviral activity.     

Lobatamide C: total synthesis,stereochemical assignment,preparation of simplified analogues,and V-ATPase inhibition studies

The total synthesis and stereochemical assignment of the potent antitumor macrolide lobatamide C, as well as synthesis of simplified lobatamide analogues, is reported. Cu(I)-mediated enamide formation methodology has been developed to prepare the highly unsaturated enamide side chain of the natural product and analogues. A key fragment coupling employs base-mediated esterification of a beta-hydroxy acid and a salicylate cyanomethyl ester. Three additional stereoisomers of lobatamide C have been prepared using related synthetic routes. The stereochemistry at C8, C11, and C15 of lobatamide C was assigned by comparison of stereoisomers and X-ray analysis of a crystalline derivative. Synthetic lobatamide C, stereoisomers, and simplified analogues have been evaluated for inhibition of bovine chromaffin granule membrane V-ATPase. The salicylate phenol, enamide NH, and ortho-substitution of the salicylate ester have been shown to be important for V-ATPase inhibitory activity.     

计算机模式识别法对甲状腺机能亢进症微量元素谱的研究

据Mahlanobis距离判别法，利用计算机多元统计判别程序，对14例甲亢思者和21例健康人的血清中锌、铁、铜、锰、镁和锶等元素浓度差异进行分类判别研究。选择锌、铁、钙、锶作判别特征参量时，患者和健康人的分类准确率为100％，服碘前与服碘后的甲亢患者分类准确率为92.7％，分类研究指出，甲亢患者血清中的铁和锶浓度高于健康人，经服碘治疗后，患者血清中上述元素浓度降低与健康人相近。     

Briarane diterpenoids from the formosan gorgonian Coral Junceella fragilis

A new trihydroxy briarane-related diterpenoid, junceellolide I (1), along with a known metabolite, (1R,2R,5Z,7R,8S,9R,10R,12R,14R,17S)-2,14-diacetoxy-8,17-epoxy-9,12-dihydroxybriara-5,11(20)-dien-19-one (2), have been isolated from the gorgonian coral Junceella fragilis, collected off the southern Taiwan coast. The structure, including the relative configuration of the new compound 1, was elucidated by the combination of spectral data, particularly in high-resolution 1H- and 13C-NMR spectroscopy utilizing COSY, HMBC, HMQC, and NOESY experiments.
