Methodological alternatives for the preparation of highly strained, highly pyramidalized dodecahedrene 2 (Estr=87.3 kcal mol?1; ?=43.5°, MM2) and 1,16-dodecahedradiene 3 (Estr=105.3 kcal mol?1; ?=42.9°, MM2) have been explored, protection/deprotection strategies have been tested—with the eye on their utilization for the generation of higher unsaturated dodecahedranes (e.g. 1,4, 16-triene 4, 1,4,10 (14),16-tetraene 5). For the acquisition of preparative quantities of monoene 2 the “P2F” catalyzed cis-β-elimination in bromododecahedrane, of diene 3 the FVP fragmentation of a “twofold protected” precursor (bis-furan adduct) have become the protocols of choice, which both profit from the recent synthetic advances along the pagodane → dodecahedrane scheme. Because of unusually effective steric protection the highly tilted C=C double bonds of 2 (λmax (CH3CN) = 254 nm, ν C=C = 1658 cm?1, δC=C = 164.4) and 3 (δC=C = 170.5) enter into thermal stabilization pathways (dimerization, oligomerization) only at higher temperatures (for 2 ca. 50% consumption after 5 h at 100°C in a 3·10?3 molar toluene solution); extreme sensitivity to oxygen is primarily attributed to kinetically and thermodynamically promoted allylic hydrogen abstraction.  相似文献

The kinetics of the Fe3+/Fe2+ reaction on a Pt rotating disc electrode was studied in solutions of 0.5 M H2SO4 and 0.5 M Na2SO4 (pH 2.2). Taking into account formation of sulphate complexes the conclusion was made that the main contribution to the reaction rate is due to FeSO4+ and FeSO4 complexes. Extended Tafel plots obtained by Randles analysis from experimental current-voltage curves were corrected for the 2 potential. The latter was evaluated according to the Gouy-Chapman theory by using the surface charge density values deduced from thermodynamic theory and measurements of other authors. Tafel plots were approximated by parabolas and the reorganization energy was calculated as 33 kJ mol?1 and 51 kJ mol?1 for Fe3+/Fe2+ in H2SO4 and Na2SO4, respectively. The comparison of these values with theoretically predicted ones was made. From the magnitude of the pre-exponential factor of the true rate constant it was concluded that the Fe3+/Fe2+ electron transfer reaction is non-adiabatic in nature.  相似文献

Solutions of the perfluoro anion-exchange membrane TosHex® in a solvent mixture composed of methanol + isopropanol + water (1:1:1) were prepared and applied in coating glassy carbon electrodes. The evaporated films were used to accumulate the Fe(CN) 6 redox couple on the electrode surface. The magnitude of the electrochemical response of the loaded films is comparable with that for Nafion® incorporated cationic redox species. The multicharged Fe(CN) 6 couple accumulated in Tosflex® film causes an ion cross-linking of the polymeric backbone, thus decreasing ion transport in the film substantially.  相似文献

In recent years capillary chromatography has gained popularity for trace analyses. Most often UV or electrochemical detection is employed because the small peak volumes make post-column derivatization challenging. We have developed a simple method based on flow injection for determining contributions to peak broadening from post-column reactors. The only requirement for application of our methodology is that diffusion be in the Taylor regime so that radial concentration gradients are relaxed enabling mixing purely by diffusion.  相似文献

Capillaries made of fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) with an inner diameter of 50 microm have been employed in capillary zone electrophoresis with UV-Vis absorbance detection. The capillaries were made in the laboratory with a recently developed technique using fluoropolymer heat shrink/melt tubing and a tungsten wire as a template for the channel. An electroosmotic flow was obtained in the channels and it is shown that an FEP capillary is more effective for a cationic test solute than a fused-silica capillary. The compatibility of FEP capillaries with optical detection is evaluated briefly.  相似文献

Summary Quantum chemical calculations based on density functional theory have been performed on Cr(CO)6, (6-C6H6)Cr(CO)3 and (6-C6H6)Cr(CO)2(CS) at the local and nonlocal level of theory using different functionals. Good agreement is obtained with experiment for both optimized geometries and metal-ligand binding energies. In particular, a comparison of metal-arene bond energies calculated for the (6-C6H6)Cr(CO)3 and (6-C6H6)Cr(CO)2(CS) complexes correlates well with kinetic data demonstrating that substitution of one CO group by CS leads to an important labilizing effect of this bond, which may be primarily attributed to a larger -backbonding charge transfer to the CS ligand as compared with CO.  相似文献

Reaction-based fluorescent-probes have proven successful for the visualisation of biological species in various cellular processes. Unfortunately, in order to tailor the design of a fluorescent probe to a specific application (i.e. organelle targeting, material and theranostic applications) often requires extensive synthetic efforts and the synthetic screening of a range of fluorophores to match the required synthetic needs. In this work, we have identified Pinkment-OH as a unique “plug-and-play” synthetic platform that can be used to develop a range of ONOO responsive fluorescent probes for a variety of applications. These include theranostic-based applications and potential material-based/bioconjugation applications. The as prepared probes displayed an excellent sensitivity and selectivity for ONOO over other ROS. In vitro studies using HeLa cells and RAW 264.7 macrophages demonstrated their ability to detect exogenously and endogenously produced ONOO. Evaluation in an LPS-induced inflammation mouse model illustrated the ability to monitor ONOO production in acute inflammation. Lastly, theranostic-based probes enabled the simultaneous evaluation of indomethacin-based therapeutic effects combined with the visualisation of an inflammation biomarker in RAW 264.7 cells.

Pinkment, a resorufin based ONOO selective and sensitive ‘plug and play’ fluorescence-based platform for in vitro and in vivo use, enables facile functionalisation for various imaging and theranostic applications.  相似文献

The exchange of subunits between oligomer protein particles depends upon a cycle of dissociations and associations. To examine the dynamics of these cycles we have employed two methods based on the transfer of excitation energy between fluorochromes attached to different subunits of protein oligomers, at various temperatures and pressures. In the heterotransfer method, identical solutions independently labeled with two different fluorophores, donor D and acceptor A, are mixed. The fluorescence spectrum permits the determination of the subunit exchange by the increase in A and decrease in D fluorescence as mixed AD oligomers are formed. In the homotransfer method the aggregates are labeled with fluorescein to the extent that, ideally, each subunit carries a fluorophore. The emission is strongly depolarized because sufficiently often it takes place after a transfer to a fluorophore oriented differently from the one originally excited. Both dissociation and subunit exchange with unlabeled material result in an increase in polarization and can be independently determined by the homotransfer method. Both homo- and heterotransfer have been employed in the study of the effect of temperature on the stability of the aggregates and the relation between the rate of dissociation and the rate of exchange when dissociation of oligomers is induced by hydrostatic pressure.  相似文献
