Zerfallsschema und β-Spektrum des MsTh1 (Ra228)

Theβ-spectrum of MsTh1 (Ra²²⁸) has been measured in a proportional counter in 2π — and in 4π-geometry. Comparison of these measurements shows that there are no conversion electrons. Theβ-decay of MsTh 1 therefore leads in all cases to the ground level of MsTh2. The Kurie plot is straight from 15 keV up to the upper energy limit ofE ₀=55±3 keV (logft=5·6). The result has been checked by a search for photons emitted by the MsTh1. Noγ-rays and no X-rays have been found. The measurements had to be made with a relatively large amount of natural Ra²²⁶ in the sources. — The results do not agree with those ofLecoin, Perey, Teillac andRiou, who proposed a complex decay sheme for MsTh1.

The cluster compounds (μ₃-S)(μ₃-PR)Fe₃(CO)₉ are obtained by reaction of the dichloroorganylphosphane sulphides RP(S)Cl₂ (R = CH₃, 4-CH₃OC₆H₄, C₆H₅) with Na₂[Fe(CO)₄] in ether under cleavage of the PS bond. On the basis of X-ray crystallographic determinations the iron clusters crystallize for R = 4-CH₃OC₆H₄ and C₆H₅ in the monoclinic and triclinic space group C2/c and P$\text{1}$ with Z = 8 and 4, respectively.     

The influence of rotational coupling on K-vacancy formation in U-Pb collisions

The beta endpoint energies of the alkaline fission products^88–94Rb and^139–144Cs have been measured with an intrinsic Ge-detector at the OSTIS fission product separator. The linearity and high resolution of the detector yields an accuracy of up to a few keV. Additional beta gamma coincidence spectra allow the deduction of Q_β-values.
