Absolute continuity for linear forms onB *-algebras and a Radon-Nikodym type theorem (quadratic version)

The notion of absolute continuity for linear forms onB ^*-algebras is introduced and investigated. The main result is a general Radon-Nikodym type theorem in the context of B^*-algebras which extends a well-known theorem of S. Sakai and has diverse applications in the theory of operator algebras.     

A non-Abelian Higgs model on the lattice in terms of a complete system of gauge invariants

In this Letter we investigate the lattice version of a certain non-Abelian Higgs model, the theory of a SU(2)-gauge field interacting with a matter field in the adjoint representation.     

Experimental determination of cw dye laser parameters by loss variation

The behavior of a cw dye laser under variation of the output coupling has been investigated. By studying the dependence of laser threshold, output power and slope efficiency on the degree of outcoupling, numerical values for macroscopic and microscopic laser parameters have been obtained. The macroscopic data comprise values for internal cavity losses and mode matching conditions, the microscopic data refer to molecular parameters of the dye used, such as cross-sections for stimulated emission and triplet-triplet absorption.
