We present a general strategy for incorporating organocatalytic moieties into metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). The organocatalytic units are protected by a thermolabile protecting group during MOF synthesis and then unveiled by a simple postsynthetic heating step. The strategy is exemplified using a thermolabile tert-butoxycarbonyl (Boc) protecting group for a proline moiety, the removal of which endows the resulting cubic zinc(II) IRMOF with catalytic activity for asymmetric aldol reactions. The bulky Boc groups also prevent framework interpenetration, producing open MOFs that can admit relatively large substrates. 相似文献

Measurement of glutathione (GSH) and glutathione disulfide (GSSG) is a crucial tool to assess cellular redox state. Herein we report a direct approach to determine intracellular GSH based on a rapid chromatographic separation coupled with acidic potassium permanganate chemiluminescence detection, which was extended to GSSG by incorporating thiol blocking and disulfide bond reduction. Importantly, this simple procedure avoids derivatisation of GSH (thus minimising auto-oxidation) and overcomes problems encountered when deriving the concentration of GSSG from 'total GSH'. The linear range and limit of detection for both analytes were 7.5 × 10(-7) to 1 × 10(-5) M, and 5 × 10(-7) M, respectively. GSH and GSSG were determined in cultured muscle cells treated for 24 h with glucose oxidase (0, 15, 30, 100, 250 and 500 mU mL(-1)), which exposed them to a continuous source of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Both analyte concentrations were greater in myotubes treated with 100 or 250 mU mL(-1) glucose oxidase (compared to untreated controls), but were significantly lower in myotubes treated with 500 mU mL(-1) (p < 0.05), which was rationalised by considering measurements of H(2)O(2) and cell viability. However, the GSH/GSSG ratio in myotubes treated with 100, 250 and 500 mU mL(-1) glucose oxidase exhibited a dose-dependent decrease that reflected the increase in intracellular ROS. 相似文献

The structure of a new polyacylated sucrose derivative (3a) obtained from the rhizomes of I. fulva was elucidated as 3-O-(E)-p-coumaroyl-β-D-fructofuranosyl-(2?1')-[2″,4″,6″-tri-O-acetyl-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1″→3')-(2',6'-di-O-acetyl-4'-O-(E)-p-coumaroyl-α-D-glucopyranoside)]. We report measurements of spin-lattice relaxation of carbon-13 as a function of the magnetic field ('relaxometry') in view of optimizing dissolution-DNP. The sample is temporarily lifted into the stray field above a high-resolution magnet using a simple and inexpensive 'shuttle'. The signals of arbitrary molecules can be observed at high field with high-resolution and sensitivity. During the dissolution process and subsequent 'voyage' from the polarizer to the NMR magnet, relaxation is accelerated by paramagnetic polarizing agents, but it can be quenched by using scavengers. 相似文献

We present a convenient post-fabrication technique to precisely tune the optical properties of polymer-based three-dimensional photonic crystals with sub-nanometer precision. Conventional air-plasma etching is utilized to modify the filling fraction of direct laser written polymer photonic crystals beyond the wavelength-imposed limits. Tuning of the optical properties is monitored in transmission and reflection spectroscopy.
