The infrared spectra of the complexes [M(pyO)(H2O)Cl2] (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu; pyO = pyridine N-oxide) have been determined. Assignments of ν M-Opy, νM-OH2 and ν M-Cl are made by observing the effects of deuterating the coordinated pyO and H2O and replacing chloride by bromide in the Mn(II) complex. Assignments of metal—ligand modes in the mixed ligand complexes [M(pyO)(dmso)X2] (dmso = dimethylsulphoxide) are made by comparison with the spectra of (ML2X2] (L = pyO, dmso) and by observing the effects of deuteration of pyO and dmso. Structural aspects of the spectra are discussed.  相似文献

New strategies for the synthesis of perfectly alternating segmented polyimide-polydimethyl siloxane copolymers were developed by utilizing a transimidization method. Imide oligomers endcapped with 2-aminopyrimidine were reacted with aminopropyl terminated (dimethyl siloxane) oligomers to afford perfectly alternating segmented imide siloxane copolymers. The polymerization was conducted in solvents such as chlorobenzene and chlorofrom. High molecular weight, fully imidized perfectly alternating segmented imide siloxane copolymers were obtained within 2 h at temperatures of 60-110°C. The mechanism of the reaction was further elucidated via model compounds and NMR characterization. The block copolymers exhibited two Tgs due to the microphase separation of the polyimide and polysiloxane phases. The Tg of the polyimide phase was a function of the length of the polyimide block. However, partial phase mixing was also evident from the DSC results on the imide siloxane copolymers prepared with low molecular weight polyimide segments. Thermooxidative stability and tensile properties of the perfectly alternating segmented imide siloxane copolymers were found to be principally dependent on the amount of poly (dimethyl siloxane) incorporated in the copolymer and did not correlate with the poly (dimethyl siloxane) or polyimide block lengths. Solute-induced quenching of sonoluminescence (SL) is reported for aqueous solutions of two homologous series of methyl esters and ketones using low (20 kHz) and high (515 kHz) ultrasound frequencies. SL data at 20 kHz from aqueous solutions containing alcohols and carboxylic acids are also presented to compare with previously published results at 515 kHz. In addition to supporting the previous findings on the existence of stable and transient bubbles at 515 and 20 kHz, respectively, the results suggest that the hydrogen-bonding characteristics of the solutes also play a major role in the extent of SL quenching. An increase in the SL intensity at low concentrations for most of the solutes suggests that these solutes increase the number of "active" bubbles by hindering the coalescence of bubbles. It is concluded that the effect of the solutes on the SL signal from aqueous solutions at both frequencies is primarily due to the balance of two factors, namely, the incorporation of solute within the bubble, leading to SL quenching, and the prevention of coalescence of the bubbles, leading to SL enhancement. At the higher frequency, SL quenching by the solutes is the main influence on the emission yield. However, at the lower frequency, hindrance to coalescence by the solutes dominates at lower concentrations and leads to SL enhancement. The implications of these results for optimizing conditions for aqueous sonochemical reactions are discussed.  相似文献

Eighteen new fluorogenic analogues of organophosphorus nerve agents were synthesised and characterised. They included analogues of tabun, sarin, cyclosarin, soman, VX, and Russian VX, with the 7-oxy-4-methylcoumarin or 7-oxy-4-(trifluoromethyl)coumarin leaving group. These analogues inhibited acetylcholinesterase (AChE) effectively in vitro and therefore have potential as tools for the identification of novel organophosphatases in biological systems. Analogues of VX and Russian VX with the 7-amino-4-methylcoumarin group, although poor AChE inhibitors, may have utility for screening enzyme libraries for phosphoramidases capable of cleaving P-N bonds.  相似文献

Off-flavors in foods may originate from environmental pollutants, the growth of microorganisms, oxidation of lipids, or endogenous enzymatic decomposition in the foods. The chromatographic analysis of flavors and off-flavors in foods usually requires that the samples first be processed to remove as many interfering compounds as possible. For analysis of foods by gas chromatography (GC), sample preparation may include mincing, homogenation, centrifugation, distillation, simple solvent extraction, supercritical fluid extraction, pressurized-fluid extraction, microwave-assisted extraction, Soxhlet extraction, or methylation. For high-performance liquid chromatography of amines in fish, cheese, sausage and olive oil or aldehydes in fruit juice, sample preparation may include solvent extraction and derivatization. Headspace GC analysis of orange juice, fish, dehydrated potatoes, and milk requires almost no sample preparation. Purge-and-trap GC analysis of dairy products, seafoods, and garlic may require heating, microwave-mediated distillation, purging the sample with inert gases and trapping the analytes with Tenax or C18, thermal desorption, cryofocusing, or elution with ethyl acetate. Solid-phase microextraction GC analysis of spices, milk and fish can involve microwave-mediated distillation, and usually requires adsorption on poly(dimethyl)siloxane or electrodeposition on fibers followed by thermal desorption. For short-path thermal desorption GC analysis of spices, herbs, coffee, peanuts, candy, mushrooms, beverages, olive oil, honey, and milk, samples are placed in a glass-lined stainless steel thermal desorption tube, which is purged with helium and then heated gradually to desorb the volatiles for analysis. Few of the methods that are available for analysis of food flavors and off-flavors can be described simultaneously as cheap, easy and good.  相似文献

A suitable tropolone ortho-quinone methide precursor has been prepared from 3-methyl-2-furoate. Heating the ortho-quinone methide precursor gave a tropolone ortho-quinone methide, which in the presence of humulene underwent a hetero Diels-Alder reaction to give a deoxy analogue of epolone B.  相似文献

The determination of cytidine 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphate-specific phosphodiesterase activity by means of fast-atom bombardment (FAB) mass Spectrometry with mass-analysed ion kinetic energy (MIKE) spectrum scanning is described. Initial efforts to determine the activity of the enzyme by this method were unsuccessful owing to the obfuscation of sample-related peaks by peaks emanating from the incubation buffer and cation adducts; dilution of buffer and a desalting procedure overcame these difficulties. In the resulting positive-ion FAB mass spectra, characteristic peaks of the enzyme substrate and product could be readily identified and the protonated molecular ions selected for MIKE scanning. By spiking enzyme incubates with known amounts of substrate and product, and measuring peak heights in the MIKE spectra of both spiked and unspiked samples, the substrate/product ratio at the end of a series of phosphodiesterase incubations was determined. From the data obtained, the Km and Vmax of the phosphodiesterase were calculated as 6.08 mM and 11 μmol min?1 mg?1, respectively, showing good agreement with the analogous values of 8.06 mM and 5.8 μmol?1 min?1 mg?1 obtained by radioactive assay.  相似文献

The title complex, [NiCl(C12H16N3O2)2(H2O)]NO3·2CH4O·H2O, was obtained from a methano­lic solution of Ni(NO3)2·6H2O, 2‐pyridyl nitro­nyl nitro­xide (2‐NITpy) and (NEt4)2[CoCl4]. The equatorial coordination sites of the octahedral NiII centre are occupied by two chelating radical ligands, with the axial positions occupied by the Cl? and water ligands. The H2O—Ni—Cl axis of the complex lies along a crystallographic twofold axis, so that only half the cation is present in the asymmetric unit. The Ni—Cl bond length [2.3614 (17) Å] is significantly shorter than distances typical of octahedral NiII centres [2.441 (5) Å]. However, with only one nitrate anion per formula unit, the oxidation state of the metal must be assigned as NiII. The 2‐NITpy ligands bend away from the equatorial plane, forming a hydro­phobic region around the Cl atoms. Conversely, the ligated water mol­ecule forms moderately strong hydrogen bonds with the disordered methanol solvent mol­ecules, which in turn form interactions with the water of crystallization and the disordered nitrate anion. These interactions combine to give hydro­philic regions throughout the crystal structure.  相似文献
