Metallacarboranes with the shape of the Greek letter θ, such as [Co(C2B9H11)2], were tested, for the first time, as efficient photoredox catalysts in the oxidation of aromatic and aliphatic alcohols in water. Their efficiency is linked to their high solubility in water, their high oxidizing power (Co4+/3+), and their absence of fluorescence on excitation, among others. In most of the studied examples, using a catalyst load of 0.4 mol % gave high yields of 90–95 % with selectivity greater than 99 %. By reducing the catalyst load to 0.01 mol %, quantitative conversion of reactants to products was achieved, in some cases with greater than 99 % yield, high catalyst efficiency reaching a turnover number of 10 000, and a higher yield with a 45 times lower concentration of catalyst. The metallacarboranes can be recovered easily by precipitation on addition of [NMe4]Cl. A pathway for the photoredox-catalyzed oxidation of alcohols is proposed.  相似文献

Cu@Pt nanoparticles (NPs) are experimentally regarded as improved catalysts for NOx storage/reduction, with higher activities and selectivities compared with pure Pt or Cu NPs, and with inverse Pt@Cu NPs. Here, a density functional theory-based study on such NP models with different sizes and shapes reveals that the observed enhanced stability of Cu@Pt compared with Pt@Cu NPs is due to energetic reasons. On both types of core@shell NPs, charge is transferred from Cu to Pt, strengthening the NP cohesion energy in Pt@Cu NPs, and spreading charge along the surface in Cu@Pt NPs. The negative surface Pt atoms in the latter diminish the NO bonding owing to an energetic rise of the Pt bands, as detected by the appliance of the d-band model, although other factors, such as atomic low coordination or the presence of an immediate subsurface Pt atom do as well. A charge density difference analysis discloses a donation/back-donation mechanism in the NO adsorption.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Modified coupled-cluster (CC) methods such as linearized coupled-cluster doubles (LinCCD), approximate coupled pair (ACP D14), 2CC (from nCC family), parameterized CCSD (pCCSD) and distinguishable cluster (DCSD) can have their advantages over general CC methods. Though these methods include connected clusters of single and double excitations at most, distinguishable cluster, parameterized CC and approximate coupled pair methods, in particular, have been shown to produce quantitatively correct results in benchmark studies. To put these methods on a stronger foothold, it is essential to understand the rationale for their success: mimicking the effect of connected triple excitations. We exploit the relation between CC and many body perturbation theory (MBPT) in general, and between CCSD and MBPT(4)/MP4 in particular, to take a step towards bringing clarity to this persisting conundrum. Our aim here is to look for numerical signs of ‘addition by subtraction’ or ‘inclusion by deletion’ effect that is likely behind the success of these modified CCD or CCSD methods. We achieve this by revisiting well-studied examples of single and multiple bond dissociation and comparing the performance of these modified CCSD methods with higher-level CC methods. Though our results are qualitative in nature, we hope this would lead to more rigorous analysis in future studies.  相似文献

Four new compounds of formulas [Cu(hfac)2(L)] (1), [Ni(hfac)2(L)] (2), [{Cu(hfac)2}2(µ-L)]·2CH3OH (3) and [{Ni(hfac)2}2(µ-L)]·2CH3CN (4) [Hhfac = hexafluoroacetylacetone and L = 3,6-bis(picolylamino)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine] have been prepared and their structures determined by X-ray diffraction on single crystals. Compounds 1 and 2 are isostructural mononuclear complexes where the metal ions [copper(II) (1) and nickel(II) (2)] are six-coordinated in distorted octahedral MN2O4 surroundings which are built by two bidentate hfac ligands plus another bidentate L molecule. This last ligand coordinates to the metal ions through the nitrogen atoms of the picolylamine fragment. Compounds 3 and 4 are centrosymmetric homodinuclear compounds where two bidentate hfac units are the bidentate capping ligands at each metal center and a bis-bidentate L molecule acts as a bridge. The values of the intramolecular metal···metal separation are 7.97 (3) and 7.82 Å (4). Static (dc) magnetic susceptibility measurements were carried out for polycrystalline samples 1–4 in the temperature range 1.9–300 K. Curie law behaviors were observed for 1 and 2, the downturn of χMT in the low temperature region for 2 being due to the zero-field splitting of the nickel(II) ion. Very weak [J = −0.247(2) cm−1] and relatively weak intramolecular antiferromagnetic interactions [J = −4.86(2) cm−1] occurred in 3 and 4, respectively (the spin Hamiltonian being defined as H = −JS1·S2). Simple symmetry considerations about the overlap between the magnetic orbitals across the extended bis-bidentate L bridge in 3 and 4 account for their magnetic properties.  相似文献

This work reports a comprehensive study about cell adhesion and proliferation on the surface of different electroactive substrates formed by pi-conjugated polymers. Biological assays were performed considering four different cellular lines: two epithelial and two fibroblasts. On the other hand, the electroactivity of the three conducting systems was determined in physiological conditions. Results indicate that the three substrates behave as a cellular matrix, even though compatibility with cells is larger for PPy and the 3-layered system. Furthermore, the three polymeric systems are electro-compatible with the cellular monolayers.  相似文献

Polyacrylonitrile (PAN)-based polymer electrolytes have obtained considerable attention due to their fascinating characteristics such as appreciable ionic conductivity at ambient temperatures and mechanical stability. This study is based on the system PAN–ethylene carbonate (EC)–propylene carbonate (PC)–lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate (LiCF3SO3). The composition 15 mol% PAN–42 mol% EC–36 mol% PC–7 mol% LiCF3SO3 has shown a maximum room temperature conductivity of 1.2?×?10?3 S cm?1. Also, it was possible to make a thin, transparent film out of that composition. Cells of the form, Li/PAN–EC–PC–LiCF3SO3/polypyrrole (PPy)–alkylsulfonate (AS) were investigated using cyclic voltammetry and continuous charge–discharge tests. When cycled at low scan rates, a higher capacity could be obtained and well-defined peaks were present. The appearance of peaks elucidates the fact that redox reactions occur completely. This well proves the reason for higher capacity. The average specific capacity was about 43 Ah kg?1. Cells exhibited a charge factor close to unity during continuous charging and discharging, indicating the absence of parasitic reactions.  相似文献

A new molecularly imprinted polymer, prepared following a non-covalent approach, was synthesised using enrofloxacin as a template molecule. The imprinting effect of the polymer was verified by chromatographic evaluation and, interestingly, this evaluation also revealed that the imprinted polymer showed a high degree of cross-reactivity for ciprofloxacin, the major metabolite of enrofloxacin. The molecularly imprinted polymer was then applied as a selective sorbent in a two-step solid-phase extraction method focussing upon complex biological matrices, specifically human urine and pig liver. This two-step solid-phase extraction protocol, in which a commercial Oasis HLB cartridge and a molecularly imprinted solid-phase extraction cartridge were combined, allowed enrofloxacin and ciprofloxacin to be determined by liquid chromatography coupled to a UV detector at levels below the maximum residue limits established by the European Union. The quantification and detection limits in tissue samples of enrofloxacin and ciprofloxacin were established at 50 μg kg−1 and 30 μg kg−1, respectively.  相似文献

sP-B is a synthetic analogue of the natural lipopeptide antibiotic polymyxin B (PxB) that maintains the ability of the parent compound to form vesicle-vesicle contacts and induce lipid exchange. Exchange is selective, and only monoanionic phospholipids such as 1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-glycero-sn-3-phosphoglycerol (POPG) are transferred, whereas dianionic phospholipids such as 1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-glycero-sn-3-phosphate (POPA) are not, as shown by fluorescence experiments based on the excimer/monomer ratio of pyrene-labeled phospholipids. Synthetic fluorescent analogues of sP-B are used to investigate the peptide position and orientation in the intermembrane contacts: sP-Bw, an analogue that contains D-tryptophan (D-Trp) instead of the naturally occurring D-phenylalanine, and sP-Bpy, incorporating a pyrene group at the N-terminus. Tryptophan fluorescence, anisotropy, and quenching measurements performed with sP-Bw indicate that the peptide binds and inserts in anionic vesicles of POPG and POPA. However, significant differences are seen depending on the lipid composition, as also demonstrated by fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) experiments from Trp to 7-nitro-2-1,3-benzoxadiazol (NBD) groups at the interface. Intermolecular FRET using sP-Bw as the donor and sP-Bpy as the acceptor indicates self-association of the peptide, possibly forming dimers, when bound to POPG vesicles at concentrations that induce the vesicle-vesicle contacts.  相似文献

Three on-column preconcentration techniques were compared to analyse a group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) using micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MEKC) under pH-suppressed electroosmotic flow (EOF) in water samples. The analysed drugs were ibuprofen, fenoprofen, naproxen, ketoprofen, and diclofenac sodium. The micellar background electrolyte (BGE) solution was formed by 75 mM sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), 40% (v/v) acetonitrile, and 25 mM sodium phosphate at pH 2.5. When this BGE solution was used the applied voltage was reversed, -10 kV, and the drugs were separated within 20 min. The on-column preconcentration modes, characterised all of them for the sample matrix removal out of the capillary by itself under a reverse potential at the same time as the EOF was reduced, were stacking with reverse migrating micelles (SRMM), stacking with reverse migrating micelles-anion selective exhaustive injection (SRMM-ASEI), and field-enhanced sample injection with reverse migrating micelles (FESI-RMM). The sensitivity was improved up to 154-, 263-, and 63-fold, respectively when it was calculated through the peaks height. The optimised methods were validated with spiked mineral water by combining off-line solid-phase extraction (SPE) and the proposed on-line sample stacking strategies. The detection limits (LODs) of NSAIDs in mineral water were at ng/L levels.  相似文献

New homo- and heterometallic, hexa- and pentanuclear complexes of formula {[Cu2(mpba)2(H2O)F][Cu(Me5dien)]4}(PF6)(3).5H2O (1), {[Cu2(Me3mpba)2(H2O)2][Cu(Me5dien)]4}(ClO4)(4).12H2O (2), {[Cu2(ppba)2][Cu(Me5dien)]4}(ClO4)4 (3), and [Ni(cyclam)]{[Cu2(mpba)2][Ni(cyclam)]3}(ClO4)(4).6H2O (4) [mpba=1,3-phenylenebis(oxamate), Me3mpba=2,4,6-trimethyl-1,3-phenylenebis(oxamate), ppba=1,4-phenylenebis(oxamate), Me5dien=N,N,N'N' ',N' '-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine, and cyclam=1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane] have been synthesized through the use of the "complex-as-ligand/complex-as-metal" strategy. The structures of 1-3 consist of cationic CuII6 entities with an overall [2x2] ladder-type architecture which is made up of two oxamato-bridged CuII3 linear units connected through two m- or p-phenylenediamidate bridges between the two central copper atoms to give a binuclear metallacyclic core of the cyclophane-type. Complex 4 consists of cationic CuII2NiII3 entities with an incomplete [2x2] ladder-type architecture which is made up of oxamato-bridged CuIINiII and CuIINiII2 linear units connected through two m-phenylenediamidate bridges between the two copper atoms to give a binuclear metallacyclophane core. The magnetic properties of 1-3 and 4 have been interpreted according to their distinct "dimer-of-trimers" and "dimer-plus-trimer" structures, respectively, (H=-J(S1A.S3A+S1A.S4A+S2B.S5B+S2B.S6B)-J'S1A.S2B). Complexes 1-4 exhibit moderate to strong antiferromagnetic coupling through the oxamate bridges (-JCu-Cu=81.3-105.9 cm-1; -JCu-Ni=111.6 cm-1) in the trinuclear and/or binuclear units. Within the binuclear metallacyclophane core, a weak to moderate ferromagnetic coupling (J'Cu-Cu=1.7-9.0 cm-1) operates through the double m-phenylenediamidate bridge, while a strong antiferromagnetic coupling (J'Cu-Cu=-120.6 cm-1) is mediated by the double p-phenylenediamidate bridge.  相似文献
