A visco-elastoplastic model for the impact between a compact body and a composite target is presented. The model is a combination of a nonlinear contact law that includes energy loss due to plastic deformation and a viscous element that accounts for energy losses due to wave propagation and/or damping. The governing nonlinear equations are solved numerically to obtain the response. A piecewise linear version of the model is also presented, which facilitates analytical solution. The model predictions are compared to those of the well-known and commonly used Hunt–Crossley model. The effects of the various impact parameters, such as impactor mass, velocity, plasticity, and damping, on the impact response and coefficient of restitution are investigated. The model appears to be suitable for a wide range of impact situations, with parameters that are well defined and easily calculated or measured. Furthermore, the resulting coefficient of restitution is shown to be a function of impact velocity and damping, as confirmed by published experimental data.  相似文献

The validity of the Vogel-Tammann-Fulcher type asymptotic exponential functions for representing the temperature dependence of various properties, such as the particle-particle pull-off adherence forces in ice and hydrates and the annealing effect on polystyrene latex films, is demonstrated. The parameters of this equation are determined using the reported experimental data. The applications show that such functions yield accurate correlations of the experimental property data measured at various temperatures.  相似文献

In order to produce an accurate noise map of a city or a region, it is necessary to make noise measurements at certain locations and these measurements must be modeled with the most suitable mathematical algorithm. A homogeneous and representative distribution of the noise measurement points is the first key factor in the production of sound noise maps. The second key element is the calculation of the noise values of gridding points based on noise measurement points according to the selected mathematical calculation method and the generation of maps according to these gridding points. In this study, a noise map of the Isparta city center and its periphery was produced using inverse distance weighted (IDW), Kriging and multiquadric interpolation methods with different parameters and four grid resolution. Then, the influence of parameter selection for each method was investigated in themself by taking into account grid resolution, namely 10 ∗ 10 m, 50 ∗ 50 m, 100 ∗ 100 m and 200 ∗ 200 m, and the performance of three method with 50 ∗ 50 m grid resolution were compared with each other. In addition, the noise mapping of the city of Isparta were produced by Kriging method with respect to maximum, average and minimum noise data and they were evaluated by considering the national environmental noise thresholds.  相似文献

Forced vibration analysis of curved beams on two-parameter elastic foundation subjected to impulsive loads are investigated. The Timoshenko beam theory is adopted in the derivation of the governing equation. Ordinary differential equations in scalar form obtained in the Laplace domain are solved numerically using the complementary functions method. The solutions obtained are transformed to the real space using the Durbin’s numerical inverse Laplace transform method. This paper presents a heuristic algorithm for determining order quantities for multiple items given incremental quantity discounts and a single resourse constraint. The heuristic is based on Lagrangian relaxation. The performance of the heuristic is compared, for small problems, with a procedure that generates optimal solutions. Electronic spectral behavior of polyvinylpyrrolidone solutions in various media has been determined by UV-VIS spectrophotometry. A theoretical approach has been developed to explain the experimentally observed concentration dependent spectral behavior of polyvinyl pyrrolidone in aqueous and nonaqueous solvents. Increase in the concentration of the polymer or the addition of guanidine salts caused bathochromic shift. A similar concentration effect has been observed in nonaqueous media in the absence of guanidine salts.  相似文献

Nano-hydroxyapatite (nHA)-matrix coatings containing graphene nanosheets (GNS)-nHA were coated on Ti6Al7Nb alloys by plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) treatment for the improvement of their surface properties. Crystallographic properties, functional groups, and elemental analysis of coatings were characterized by XRD, ATR–FTIR, and EDS analysis. Surface morphological changes of the coated surfaces were investigated by AFM and SEM. The electrochemical corrosion behavior of the coatings was examined by using the potentiodynamic scanning (PDS) tests under in-vitro conditions in simulated body fluid (SBF). The results showed that the GNS was successfully deposited in ceramic matrix coatings on Ti6Al7Nb alloys. Also, the microstructural observations revealed that the coatings have a porous and rough structure. The XRD and ATR–FTIR quantitative analysis have proved the appearance of HA and GNS in the coating layers. An increase in the coating thickness, surface hardness, and anatase/rutile transformation rate was determined, while the GNS ratio in the coating layers was increased. The microhardness of the nHA coating reinforced with 1.5 wt% GNS was measured at 862 HV, which was significantly higher than that of GNS-free (only nHA) coating (584 HV). The best in-vitro resistance to corrosion in SBF was observed in the nHA/1.5GNS wt% coating.  相似文献
