An alexandrite-laser rod was actively Q-switched in the transversal fundamental mode at λ = 758 nm with an double crystal KD*P Pockels cell. Pulse width, pulse energy and optical pulse delay (the build-up time of the photon field in the resonator) were measured as functions of pumping energy, rod temperature and reflectivity of the output coupling mirror. As the laser gain of alexandrite strongly depends on temperature, the pulse width and pulse energy were also investigated as functions of the temperature of the active material. The last decade has seen increasing interest in techniques for the enhancement of digital speech signals. Significant gains have been made in terms of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and quality, but few techniques have produced improvements in intelligibility. A method for speech enhancement based on nonlinear expansion of the spectral envelope is presented. The expansion is consistent with both the long-term spectrum of the speech and with the probability that speech is present in a given sample. Objective SNR measures are used to compare this algorithm with the well-known spectral subtraction method, with an alternative expansion scheme, and with limiting SNRs resulting from perfect recovery of the amplitude spectrum. For the purpose of intelligibility assessments, a simplified version of the algorithm has been implemented on a Texas Instruments TMS320-C25 system. Listening trials with this real-time system, conducted using a modified rhyme test, have produced small, but consistent, improvements in articulation scores.  相似文献

The possibility of usage of the spontaneous electrooptical (EO) effect in strontium barium niobate (SBN) crystals for the creation of controlled electroholographic elements is studied. It is found that unipolar EO properties of these crystals with respect to switching their spontaneous polarization make it possible to devise field-controlled holographic elements with reversible energy-independent memory for spatial position of an optical beam.  相似文献

Photosystem II core antenna of blue-green algae Synechococcus isolated in gel was studied by optical hole burning spectroscopy at 4·2 K. Persistent holes were burned into fluorescence spectra throughout the region 680–696 nm. The hole width extrapolated to zero burning fluence yielded a value 1·0±0·2 cm–1. A theoretical interpretation of the hole profile in fluorescence is presented. The dependence of saturated hole depth on burning wavelength is related to inhomogeneous site distribution function.Authors would like to thank F.
