An optical parametric oscillator using a periodically poled LiNbO3 crystal and a volume Bragg grating output coupler is presented. Signal and idler wavelengths of 2008 and 2264 nm were generated from the 1064 nm Nd:YVO4 pump laser. The Bragg grating was reflecting in a narrow band around 2008 nm, creating a purely singly resonant cavity. Signal and idler linewidths of approximately 0.44 and 0.72 nm, respectively, were measured. This is a reduction of 80 and 60 times compared to when using a mirror as output coupler. A total output energy of 156 μJ was measured with 47% slope efficiency. As examples, we consider chains of diffusively coupled generalized cubic Schrödinger equations and nonlinear telegraph equations. A theory of a low-pressure discharge in a xenon-molecular hydrogen mixture is developed. It is shown that, in such a discharge, at an interelectrode distance of L = 1 cm and a total plasma pressure of p 0 ~ 1 Torr, the density of negative hydrogen ions produced via the dissociative attachment of thermal electrons to vibrationally excited molecules H2 can reach a value as high as NH ? ≥ 1012 cm?3. According to calculations, the electron temperature in discharge operating regimes under study attains T e ≈ 1?2 eV, which corresponds to the maximum of the e-v exchange rate constant of H2 molecules. This ensures a relatively high rate of vibrational pumping of H2 molecules in the discharge.  相似文献

Summary N-Benzoylphenylhydroxylarnine complexes of some metals have been investigated by HPLC. The green chromium complex formed by this reagent shows conclusive evidence of the presence of geometrical isomers. It is photosensitive and changes to a brown modification when irradiated with ultra violet or visible light. Elution behaviour of the complexes has been studied with different solvent mixtures. Attempts have been made to characterize the complexes from different measurements.

The performance of high power transistor devices is intimately connected to the substrate thermal conductivity. In this study, the relationship between thermal conductivity and dislocation density is examined using the 3 omega technique and free standing HVPE GaN substrates. Dislocation density is measured using imaging cathodoluminescence. In a low dislocation density regime below 105 cm−2, the thermal conductivity appears to plateau out near 230 W/K m and can be altered by the presence of isotopic defects and point defects. For high dislocation densities the thermal conductivity is severely degraded due to phonon scattering from dislocations. These results are applied to the design of homoepitaxially and heteroepitaxially grown HEMT devices and the efficiency of heat extraction and the influence of lateral heat spreading on device performance are compared.  相似文献

Orbital magnetism in an integrable model of a multichannel ring with long-ranged electron-electron interactions is investigated. In a noninteracting multichannel system, the response to an external magnetic flux is the sum of many diamagnetic and paramagnetic contributions, but we find that for sufficiently strong correlations, the contributions of all channels add constructively, leading to a parity (diamagnetic or paramagnetic) which depends only on the total number of electrons. Numerical results confirm that this parity-locking effect is robust with respect to subband mixing due to disorder.  相似文献

The problem of transforming a linear dynamical system in the neighbourhood of a state of equilibrium [1,2] is solved using the special problem of the damping of the system by controls of minimum intensity after a finite time interval. The possibility of using other problems of optimal control is discussed. The main attention is devoted to constructing algorithms of the operation of a device (a stabilizer) which is able, in real time, to generate a stabilizing control circulating in the closed optimal system when unknown perturbations operate constantly [3, 4]. The proposed method is based on the constructive theory of optimal control [5, 6]. Another form of this theory for solving the problem of stabilization is presented in [7](see also [8]).  相似文献

Liquid crystals incorporating in their molecular framework a seven-membered ring are still relatively rare [1]. Recently the synthesis and thermal behaviour of a series of liquid crystal materials having a tropone moiety in their mesogenic core have been reported [2-4]. These mesogens, based on a 2-(acyloxy)tropone core structure, show intramolecular migration of the acyl substituents between the two oxygen atoms at C-1 and C-2, an effect already known for simple 2-(acyloxy)tropones in their isotropic solutions [5]. This migration involves a concerted [1, 9]-sigmatropic rearrangement [2]. This rearrangement could play a major role in determining the properties of the mesophases: it has been suggested in fact that, because of this rearrangement, the mesogenic molecules acquire a mean rod-like shape which can sustain the mesophase formation [2].  相似文献
