Three types of conducting polymers, polyaniline (PANI), poly(N-methylaniline) (PNMA), poly(N-ethylaniline) (PNEA) were electrochemically deposited on pencil graphite electrode (PGE) surfaces characterized as electrode active materials for supercapacitor applications. The obtained films were electrochemically characterized using different electrochemical methods. Redox parameters, electro-active characteristics, and electrostability of the polymer films were investigated via cyclic voltammetry (CV). Doping types of the polymer films were determined by the Mott-Schottky method. Electrochemical capacitance properties of the polymer film coating PGE (PGE/PANI, PGE/PNMA, and PGE/PNEA) were investigated by the CV and potentiostatic electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) methods in a 0.1 M H2SO4 aqueous solution. Thus, capacitance values of the electrodes were calculated. Results show that PGE/PANI, PGE/PNMA, and PGE/PNEA exhibit maximum specific capacitances of 131.78 F g?1 (≈ 436.50 mF cm?2), 38.00 F g?1 (≈ 130.70 mF cm?2), and 16.50 F g?1 (≈ 57.83 mF cm?2), respectively. Moreover, charge-discharge capacities of the electrodes are reported and the specific power (SP) and specific energy (SE) values of the electrodes as supercapacitor materials were calculated using repeating chronopotentiometry.  相似文献

Nowadays the utilization of High Dimensional Model Representation (HDMR), which is an algorithm for approximating multivariate functions, is becoming more pervasive in the applications of approximation theory. This extensive usage motivates new works on HDMR, to get better solutions while approximating to the multivariate functions. One of them is recently developed “Combined Small Scale High Dimensional Model Representation (CSSHDMR)". This new scheme not only optimises HDMR results but also provides good approximation with less terms than HDMR does. This paper presents the theory and the numerical results of the new method and shows that it is possible to apply approximation to multivariate functions by keeping only constant term of HDMR. From this aspect CSSHDMR can be used in any scientific problem which includes multivariate functions, from chemistry to statistics.  相似文献

Simple, sensitive, and accurate visible spectrophotometric methods are described for the determination of paroxetine hydrochloride (PA) in tablets. Among them, the first 3 methods are based on the ion-pair complexes of PA formed with bromothymol blue (BTB), bromophenol blue (BPB), and bromocresol green (BCG) in aqueous acidic buffers. The complex species extracted into chloroform were quantitatively measured at 414 nm with BTB and BCG and at 412 nm with BPB. Beer's law was obeyed over the concentration ranges of 2-20, 2-16, and 2-16 microg/mL, respectively. The fourth method described is based on a coupling reaction between PA and 7-chloro-4-nitrobenzofurazon (NBD-Cl) in borate buffer, pH 8.5, in which a yellow reaction product that was measured at 478 nm was formed. The Beer's law range for this method was 2-10 microg/mL. The last method developed describes the interaction of PA base, as an n-electron donor, with 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ), as a pi-acceptor, in acetonitrile to give blue-colored TCNQ- radical anion with absorption maxima at 750 and 845 nm. Measured at 845 nm, the absorbance-concentration plot was rectilinear over the range of 1.5-15 microg/mL. The new methods developed were successfully applied to the determination of PA in tablets without any interference from common tablet excipients. The results of the methods were in good agreement with those obtained with an official liquid chromatographic method. This report describes first colorimetric methods for the determination of PA.  相似文献

The physicochemical properties of a drug molecule determine the therapeutic effectiveness of the drug. Thus, the development of fast and accurate theoretical approaches for the prediction of such properties is inevitable. The participation to the SAMPL7 challenge is based on the estimation of logP coefficients and pKa values of small drug-like sulfonamide derivatives. Thereby, quantum mechanical calculations were carried out in order to calculate the free energy of solvation and the transfer energy of 22 drug-like compounds in different environments (water and n-octanol) by employing the SMD solvation model. For logP calculations, we studied eleven different methodologies to calculate the transfer free energies, the lowest RMSE value was obtained for the M06L/def2-TZVP//M06L/def2-SVP level of theory. On the other hand, we employed an isodesmic reaction scheme within the macro pKa framework; this was based on selecting reference molecules similar to the SAMPL7 challenge molecules. Consequently, highly well correlated pKa values were obtained with the M062X/6–311+G(2df,2p)//M052X/6–31+G(d,p) level of theory.

This paper discusses the problem of allocating time for prevention at the primary care level, focusing on a general practitioner (GP) practice. The basic trade-off is between improved state of the health of the population, which translates into less demand for the GP services, and a decreased capacity for curative services, which translates into increased congestion. The problem of how much time to devote to prevention is modeled as a non-linear optimization problem. As an extension of the problem, selection of preventive activities to perform among recommended alternatives is modeled using a knapsack formulation, and its application is illustrated with a numerical example.
