Solid immersion lenses (SIL) facilitate high numerical aperture (NA) and consequent sub-wavelength diffraction limited focusing in near-field optics based systems. Such systems are in commercial and research use for various applications including near-field scanning optical microscopy, ultra-high-density magneto-optic data storage and near-field nanolithography. Here, we present a novel manufacturing method using SIL-based near-field optics for laser-induced patterning on silicon wafers. The near-field effect of SILs was investigated by using hemispherical lenses made of three different materials (BK7, Sapphire, LaSFN9) to superfocus an incident Q-switched, 532 nm Nd:YAG laser beam transmitted through a focusing objective. This optical arrangement achieved a laser-processed feature resolution near the diffraction limit in air. Results of experiments that were conducted at various processing conditions to investigate the effects of varying incident laser power (with peak pulse power less than 1 W), pulse width, number of pulses and size of SIL on processed feature size and resolution are presented. Experimental results are compared with numerical simulations using the simplified model.  相似文献

Tissues with very short transverse relaxation time (T2) cannot be detected using conventional magnetic resonance (MR) sequences due to the rapid decay of excited MR signals. In this work, a multiecho sequence employing half-pulse excitation and spiral sampling was developed for ultrashort echo time (UTE) imaging of tissues with short T2. Spiral readout gradients were measured and precompensated to reduce gradient distortions due to eddy currents and gradient anisotropy. The effects of spatial blurring due to fast signal decay were investigated experimentally through spiral UTE (SUTE) imaging of rubber bands with different spiral sampling duration. The unwanted long T2 signals were suppressed through the use of an inversion pulse and nulling, and/or subtraction of a later echo image from the initial one. This technique has been applied to imaging of the short T2 components in brain white matter, knee cartilage, bone and carotid vessel wall of normal volunteers at 1.5 T. Preliminary results show high spatial resolution and excellent image contrast for a variety of short T2 tissues in the human body under a relatively short scan time. A quantitative comparison was also made between radial UTE and SUTE in terms of signal-to-noise ratio efficiency.  相似文献

A general formula for the discrete states (NeveuSchwarz sector) in N = 1 2D super-Liouville theory is written down in the world-sheet supersymmetric form. We then derive a set of gauge states at the discrete momenta. These discrete gauge states are shown to carry the ω charges and serve as the symmetry parameters in the old covariant quantization of the theory.  相似文献

Quantum Hamiltonian systems corresponding to classical systems related by a general canonical transformation are considered. The differential equation to find the unitary operator, which corresponds to the canonical transformation and connects quantum states of the original and transformed systems, is obtained. The propagator associated with their wave functions is found by the unitary operator. Quantum systems related by a linear canonical point transformation are analyzed. The results are tested by finding the wave functions of the under-, critical-, and over-damped harmonic oscillator from the wave functions of the harmonic oscillator, free-particle system, and negative harmonic potential system, using the unitary operator to connect them, respectively.  相似文献

We have investigated the optical properties of AlxGa1-xN/GaN heterostructures (x=0.08, 0.15, 0.33) grown by metal organic chemical vapor deposition on sapphire using photoluminescence (PL) and persistent photoconductivity (PPC) measurements. For the AlxGa1-xN/GaN heterostructures (HS) containing high Al composition, we observed an anomalous temperature-dependent photoluminescence and persistent photoconductivity effects. These results show a strong dependence of the physical properties of AlxGa1-xN/GaN HS on the Al content and layer thickness. The anomalous temperature-dependent PL is usually attributed to the presence of carrier localization states. These phenomena are explained based on the alloy compositional fluctuations in the AlxGa1-xN/GaN HS. From the PPC measurements, the photocurrent (PC) quenching was observed for AlxGa1-xN/GaN HS and it is explained by the metastable states formed in the underlying GaN layer. We propose and demonstrate a novel variable PDL emulator based on a LiNbO3 modulator. The proposed emulator could vary the PDL values simply by adjusting the bias voltage of modulator. The results show that the proposed PDL emulator could generate a wide range of PDL values (0 ~ 35 dB). The generated PDL value could be maintained within ± 0.02 dB for >70 minutes. The wavelength dependency was about 0.03 dB in the range of 1520nm ~ 1590 nm.  相似文献

A novel circular Dammann grating is proposed to generate uniform-intensity impulse rings corresponding to different diffraction orders in the far field. The intensities of the rings are determined by the coefficients of the circular sine series decomposition of the grating function. The definition of diffraction efficiency and uniformity for this novel device are described. Numerical solutions of binary phase circular Dammann gratings are presented. A binary phase three-order circular Dammann grating of pi phase depth is fabricated by an e-beam direct writing technique and is experimentally demonstrated.  相似文献

Dramatic spectral narrowing of two normally broadband lasers, Ti:sapphire and Cr:LiSAF, was achieved by simply replacing the output mirror with a reflective, volumetric Bragg grating recorded in photothermal refractive glass. The output power of each laser was unchanged from that obtained using dielectric coated output mirrors with the same output coupling as the Bragg grating while spectral brightness increased by 3 orders of magnitude.  相似文献
