The ddµ molecule formation rate is experimentally measured for the two hyperfine states of the dµ-atom in the temperature range of 5–30 K. Results are consistent with a preliminary measurement by the TRIUMF group and contradict theoretical predictions. The work has been performed on the JINR phasotron (Dubna).  相似文献

A new device for the gigahertz modulation of far-infrared radiation is analytically and numerically analyzed. It consists of a thin layer of a high-mobility, direct-bandgap semiconductor, such as GaAs, in which a high-density electron-hole plasma is rapidly created and destroyed, thereby rapidly changing the free-carrier reflectivity of the active layer. Illumination by a high-power, near-infrared laser diode array generates the plasma through intrinsic photoconduction. It is shown that this device acis primarily as an amplitude modulator, and that its efficiency increases sharply with increasing far-IR frequency, in contrast to a Schottky diode, which acts primarily as a phase modulator, and whose efficiency falls off sharply with far-IR frequency. The breakeven frequency lies at about 1.5 THz, depending slightly on the assumed device parameters. The relative advantage of the new device increases rapidly with increasing far-infrared frequency. At an operating frequency of 2.5 THz (119 m), for example, a 1 GHz modulation bandwidth may be achieved with a single-sideband conversion loss of only-21 db, versus a Schottky's loss of-39 db, assuming a laser diode power of 1 W, which is readily available from recently developed laser diode arrays.  相似文献

Chromatographic characteristics of urinary metabolites of theophylline were studied by two-dimensional thin-layer chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography--mass spectrometry. Quantitative date for the urinary metabolites of theophylline in asthmatic children are given. It was shown that 1,3-dimethyluric acid is the predominant excretory product. In addition, smaller amounts of 1-methyluric acid, 3-methylxanthine and unchanged theophylline were found. Excretory patterns after theophylline ingestion before and during the administration of allopurinol in asthma patients and in rats suggest the existence of three metabolic pathways of theophylline. The administration of this drug to a patient with xanthine oxidase of theophylline. The administration of this drug to a patient with xanthine oxidase deficiency resulted in the excretion of 1-methyluric acid in addition to 1,3-dimethyluric acid, 3-methylxanthine, 1-methylxanthine and unchanged theophylline. It was concluded that in man the oxidation of theophylline is not catalysed by xanthine oxidase.  相似文献

Lattice dynamics calculations for both crystalline forms of tetracyanoethylene are presented. Abstract— The fluorescence decay kinetics of the reduced nicotinamides NMNH, NADH and NADPH in aqueous solution were investigated using an Ar ion laser, mode locked in the UV, as source of excitation and single photon counting electronics in the detection system allowing for a time resolution in the picosecond range. Analysis of the experimental fluorescence decay showed that the dinucleotides did not follow a single exponential decay law. Good fitting was accomplished with a sum of two exponentials. The mononucleotide fluorescence decay was a single exponential for at least 95% of its amplitude.
The heterogeneity in lifetimes of the fluorescence of the dinucleotides was interpreted in terms of an exciplex mechanism.  相似文献
