We designed and synthesized three compounds incorporating a BODIPY fluorophore and an oxazine photochrome within the same molecular skeleton and differing in the nature of the linker bridging the two functional components. The [1,3]oxazine ring of the photochrome opens in less than 6 ns upon laser excitation in two of the three fluorophore-photochrome dyads. This process generates a 3H-indolium cation with a quantum yield of 0.02-0.05. The photogenerated isomer has a lifetime of 1-3 μs and reverts to the original species with first-order kinetics. Both photochromic systems tolerate hundreds of switching cycles with no sign of degradation. The visible excitation of the dyads is accompanied by the characteristic fluorescence of the BODIPY component. However, the cationic fragment of their photogenerated isomers can accept an electron or energy from the excited fluorophore. As a result, the photoinduced transformation of the photochromic component within each dyad results in the effective quenching of the BODIPY emission. Indeed, the fluorescence of these photoswitchable compounds can be modulated on a microsecond time scale with excellent fatigue resistance under optical control. Thus, our operating principles and choice of functional components can ultimately lead to the development of valuable photoswitchable fluorescent probes for the super-resolution imaging of biological samples.  相似文献

The sandwiched trilayer of Bethe lattices in the form of the spins with spin-(1/2,1,1/2) Ising model is studied in terms of the recursion relations with either ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic type bilinear interactions between the nearest-neighbor (NN) spins. The ground-state (GS) phase diagrams are obtained and it was found that the model presents six different GS phase configurations. In order to obtain the phase diagrams, the thermal variations of the order-parameter, spin-spin correlation functions and free energy are analyzed and different topological phase diagrams are obtained. It was found that the system exhibits different critical behaviors such as, second- and first-order phase transitions, tricritical and bicritical points for the values of the coordination numbers q=3,4 and 6.  相似文献

In this paper we study the dividend optimization problem for a corporation or a financial institution when the management faces (regulatory) implementation delays. We consider several cash reservoir models for the firm including two mean-reverting processes, Ornstein–Uhlenbeck and square-root processes. Since the cash flow structure of different companies have different qualitative behaviors, it makes sense to use different diffusions to model them. The delay causes significant difficulties to the optimization problem since the cash reservoir fluctuates during the delay period. We provide a uniform mathematical framework to analyze all the models and provide optimal threshold strategies at which the management initiates actions, i.e., declaration and payment of dividends. Our solution depends on a new characterization of the value function for one-dimensional diffusions and provide easily implementable algorithms to find the optimal control and the value function.  相似文献

We demonstrate the conditional detection of time-bin qubits after storage in and retrieval from a photon-echo-based waveguide quantum memory. Each qubit is encoded into one member of a photon pair produced via spontaneous parametric down-conversion, and the conditioning is achieved by the detection of the other member of the pair. By performing projection measurements with the stored and retrieved photons onto different bases, we obtain an average storage fidelity of 0.885±0.020, which exceeds the relevant classical bounds and shows the suitability of our integrated light-matter interface for future applications of quantum information processing.  相似文献

The random crystal field(RCF) effects are investigated on the phase diagrams of the mixed-spins 1/2 and 3/2 Blume-Capel(BC) model on the Bethe lattice.The bimodal random crystal field is assumed and the recursion relations are employed for the solution of the model.The system gives only the second-order phase transitions for all values of the crystal fields in the non-random bimodal distribution for given probability.The randomness does not change the order of the phase transitions for higher crystal field values,i.e.,it is always second-order,but it may introduce first-order phase transitions at lower negative crystal field values for the probability in the range about 0.20 and 0.45,which is only the second-order for the non-random case in this range.Thus our work claims that randomness may be used to induce first-order phase transitions at lower negative crystal field values at lower probabilities.  相似文献

Abstract  

Visualization of large volumetric datasets has always been an important problem. Due to the high computational requirements of volume-rendering techniques, achieving interactive rates is a real challenge. We present a selective refinement scheme that dynamically refines the mesh according to the camera parameters. This scheme automatically determines the impact of different parts of the mesh on the output image and refines the mesh accordingly, without needing any user input. The view-dependent refinement scheme uses a progressive mesh representation that is based on an edge collapse-based tetrahedral mesh simplification algorithm. We tested our view-dependent refinement framework on an existing state-of-the-art volume renderer. Thanks to low overhead dynamic view-dependent refinement, we achieve interactive frame rates for rendering common datasets at decent image resolutions.  相似文献

Polyvinylferrocene (PVF) was used as a mediator for the fabrication of a horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-modified electrode to detect phenol derivatives via a composite polymeric matrix of conducting polypyrrole (PPy). Through an electropolymerization process, enzyme HRP was entrapped with PPy in a three-electrode system onto a glassy carbon electrode previously covered with PVF, resulting in a composite polymeric matrix. Steady-state amperometric measurements were performed at ?200 mV vs. Ag/AgCl in aqueous phosphate buffer containing NaCl 0.1 M (pH 6.8) in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. The response of the HRP-modified PVF electrode was investigated for various phenol derivatives, which were 4-chlorophenol, phenol, catechol, hydroquinone, 2-aminophenol, pyrogallol, m-cresol, and 4-methoxyphenol. Analytical parameters for the fabricated PVF electrode were obtained from the calibration curves. The highest sensitivity was obtained from the calibration of 4-chlorophenol as 29.91 nA/μM. The lowest detection limit was found to be 0.22 μM (S/N?=?3) for catechol, and the highest detection limit was found to be 0.79 μM (S/N?=?3) for 4-methoxyphenol among the tested derivatives. The biosensor can reach 95% of steady-state current in about 5 min. The electrode is stable for 2 months at 4 °C.  相似文献

The brominated backbone of poly(oxanorbornene imide) (PONB) (PONB‐Br) was functionalized with 2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidine 1‐oxyl (TEMPO)‐acrylate, ‐epoxy, and poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) yielding PONB‐acrylate, PONB‐epoxy, and PONB‐PEG through the nitroxide radical coupling (NRC) reaction. Although an excess amount of functional‐TEMPOs were used. The observed NRC efficiencies were found in the range of 7–25%. Notably, 1H NMR spectra of all polymers exhibited a signal at 6.08 ppm after NRC reactions indicating rebuilding of the main chain double bond and further identified by 13C NMR analysis. The inevitable formation of double bond through the tendency of the recombination of the formed radicals was supported by a separate experiment conducted without utilizing functional‐TEMPO. Besides, the versatility of the ROMP backbone further demonstrated by the introduction hetero functionality onto the polymer by a consecutive reactions. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym.
