The ability of a star-shaped tris(triazolyl)triazine derivative to hierarchically build supramolecular chiral columnar organizations through the formation of H-bonded complexes with benzoic acids was studied from a theoretical and experimental point of view. The combined study has been done at three different levels including the study of the structure of the triazine core, the association with benzoic acids in stoichiometry 1:3, and the assembly of 1:3 complexes in helical aggregates. Although the star-shaped triazine core crystallizes in a non-C3 conformation, the C3-symmetric conformation is theoretically predicted to be more stable and gives rise to a favorable C3 supramolecular 1:3 complex upon the interaction with three benzoic acids in their voids. In addition, calculations at different levels (DFT, PM7, and MM3) for the 1:3 host-guest complex predict the formation of large stable columnar helical aggregates stabilized by the compact packing of the interstitial acids by π–π and CH⋅⋅⋅π interactions. The acids restrict the movement of the the star-shaped triazine cores along the stacking axis causing a template effect in the self-assembly of the complex. Theoretical predictions correlate with experimental results, since the interaction with achiral or chiral 3,4,5-(4-alkoxybenzyloxy)benzoic acids gives rise to supramolecular complexes that organize in bulk hexagonal columnar mesophases stable at room temperature with intracolumnar order. The existence of supramolecular chirality in the mesophase was determined for complexes formed by acids derived from (S)-2-octanol. Chiral aggregation was also evidenced for complexes formed in dodecane.  相似文献

The present work focuses on studying the contribution of the Auger electron emission in proton-induced interactions in biological matter. The Monte Carlo track-structure code, TILDA-V, was then used for modeling the protons beams of 10 keV to 100 MeV in biological matter, namely, water vapor and hydrated DNA. The main ionizing processes are described by means of an extensive set of ab initio differential and total cross sections computed within a quantum-mechanical CDW-EIS approximation.  相似文献

Cochlear nonlinearity was estimated over a wide range of center frequencies and levels in listeners with normal hearing, using a forward-masking method. For a fixed low-level probe, the masker level required to mask the probe was measured as a function of the masker-probe interval, to produce a temporal masking curve (TMC). TMCs were measured for probe frequencies of 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, and 8000 Hz, and for masker frequencies 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, 1.0 (on frequency), 1.1, and 1.6 times the probe frequency. Across the range of probe frequencies, the TMCs for on-frequency maskers showed two or three segments with clearly distinct slopes. If it is assumed that the rate of decay of the internal effect of the masker is constant across level and frequency, the variations in the slopes of the TMCs can be attributed to variations in cochlear compression. Compression-ratio estimates for on-frequency maskers were between 3:1 and 5:1 across the range of probe frequencies. Compression did not decrease at low frequencies. The slopes of the TMCs for the lowest frequency probe (500 Hz) did not change with masker frequency. This suggests that compression extends over a wide range of stimulus frequencies relative to characteristic frequency in the apical region of the cochlea.  相似文献

Equilibrium constants in D2O were determined by 1H NMR analyses for formation of imines/iminium ions from addition of glycine methyl ester to acetone and from addition of glycine to phenylglyoxylate. First-order rate constants, also determined by 1H NMR, are reported for deuterium exchange between solvent D2O and the alpha-amino carbon of glycine methyl ester and glycine in the presence of increasing concentrations of ketone and Br?nsted bases. These rate and equilibrium data were used to calculate second-order rate constants for deprotonation by DO- and by Br?nsted bases of the alpha-imino carbon of the ketone adducts. Formation of the iminium ion between acetone and glycine methyl ester and between phenylglyoxylate and glycine is estimated to cause 7 unit and 15 unit decreases, respectively, in the pKa's of 21 and 29 for deprotonation of the parent carbon acids. The effect of formation of iminium ions to phenylglyoxylate and to 5'-deoxypyridoxal (DPL) [Toth, K.; Richard, J. P. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2007, 129, 3013-3021] on the carbon acidity of glycine is similar. However, DPL is a much better catalyst than phenylglyoxylate of deprotonation of glycine, because of the exceptionally large thermodynamic driving force for conversion of the amino acid and DPL to the reactive iminium ion.  相似文献

Tricalcium oxy-silicates, Ca3(SiO4)O and Ca2.93Mg0.07(Si0.98Al0.02O4)O0.99 [square]0.01, have been prepared as crystalline single phases. Ca3(SiO4)O and Ca2.93Mg0.07(Si0.98Al0.02O4)O0.99 [square]0.01 have triclinic and monoclinic structures, respectively. The samples show oxide anion conductivity with a small p-type electronic contribution under oxidizing conditions. At 1023 K, the oxide transport numbers range between 0.97 and 0.85 from reducing (dry 5%-H2-Ar/air gradient) to oxidizing (O2/air gradient) conditions in the 1023-1173 K interval. The thermal analyses showed a large weight loss on heating due to the presence of water in the materials. The monoclinic compound has ionic conductivities higher than those of the triclinic stoichiometric oxy-silicate, as expected due to the introduction of oxide vacancies. Typical total conductivities for these un-optimised solids are 10(-5)-10(-4) S cm(-1) at 1100 K. These compounds may contain a small amount of water, approximately 0.05 H2O moles per chemical formula, and they display an important proton contribution under a humidified atmosphere.  相似文献

The interaction of a synthetic enantiopure azamacrocyclic receptor (L) with biologically important chiral dicarboxylates (A, 1-7) has been studied by means of potentiometric titrations in 0.15 M NaCl aqueous solution in a wide pH range. This macrocycle forms strong complexes of the type [HnLA](n-2) (with n = 0-5). As a general trend, the binding is much tighter at basic or neutral pH than in acidic medium. Interestingly, nonprotected excitatory amino acids (Asp and Glu) are strongly bound even at acidic pH. Regarding selectivity, the receptor showed stereoselective binding toward those substrates bearing an H-bonding donor at Calpha, being S-selective in most of the cases, except for glutamic acid. Thus, L displayed an excellent enantioselectivity for (S)-malate dianion (KS/KR = 11.50 at pH 10.0 and KS/KR = 6.86 at pH 7.0) and exhibited moderate enantiopreference for (S,S)-tartrate (KSS/KRR = 3.01 at pH 10 and KSS/KRR = 1.70 at pH 7.0). For this last anion, a very good diastereopreference was also observed (KSS/KRS = 8.46 at pH 10 and KSS/KRS = 4.99 at pH 7.0). On the contrary, L is smoothly R-selective toward (R)-Glu (KR/KS = 3.22 at pH 10 and KR/KS = 2.05 at pH 7.0) due to its longer and more flexible molecular structure. The stereoselectivity of the corresponding complexes decreased when decreasing pH values. For the hydroxy derivatives, mass spectrometry also reflected the trends observed by potentiometry and confirmed the receptor:dicarboxylate 1:1 stoichiometry of the supramolecular complexes. Additional experimental techniques were used to study the most stereoselective example. Solution studies by NMR suggested a good geometrical complementarity between the malate dianion and the receptor, which showed a predominant helical conformation in solution. Besides, self-diffusion rates (PGSE) of the diastereomeric complexes with malate also agree with binding data. Circular dichroism was also used in this case at different pH values, showing a very good correlation between the helical content of the receptor and the stereoselectivity of the molecular recognition process.  相似文献

Magnesium‐based implants present several advantages for clinical applications, in particular due to their biocompatibility and degradability. However, degradation products can affect negatively the cell activity. In this work, a combined coating strategy to control the implant degradation and cell regulation processes is evaluated, including plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) that produces a 13 µm‐thick Ca, P, and Si containing ceramic coating with surface porosity, and breath figures (BF) approach that produces a porous polymeric poly(ε‐caprolactone) surface. The degradation of PCL‐PEO‐coated Mg hierarchical scaffold can be tailored to promote cell adhesion and proliferation into the porous structure. As a result, cell culture can colonize the inner PEO‐ceramic coating structure where higher amount of bioelements are present. The Mg/PEO/PCL/BF scaffolds exhibit equally good or better premyoblast cell adhesion and proliferation compared with Ti CP control. The biological behavior of this new hierarchical functionalized scaffold can improve the implantation success in bone and cardiovascular clinical applications.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to provide some features on immobilization and partial characterization of lipases from wheat seeds. The optimum pH and temperature were found to be 5.5 and 32–37 °C, respectively. The stability of the concentrated enzymatic extract to high temperatures (25, 35, 45, and 55 °C) showed that the incubation of the extract at 55 °C led to its complete inactivation. The concentrated enzymatic extract kept 90% of its hydrolytic and esterification activities until 70 and 40 days of storage at 4 °C, respectively. The extract presented higher hydrolytic specificity to substrates of medium and long chains and higher esterification affinity to fatty acids of short and medium chains and alcohols with two and three carbon atoms. After the immobilization process using activated coal and sodium alginate as supports, an enhancement of about threefold in lipase activity was observed. The development of the present work permitted us to point out some characteristics of lipases from wheat seeds necessary for the proposition of new future industrial applications for this important biocatalyst.  相似文献

A TEMPO bromide salt is used to functionalize a silica surface with nitroxyl moieties. The functionalization reaction takes place in 48 h under mild conditions. In a second step, grafts of styrene‐maleic anhydride copolymer are grown from the functionalized silica surface by heating it in the presence of the monomers. FT‐IR and TGA analysis show that the silica was first functionalized with nitroxide moieties, and then that grafts of styrene‐maleic anhydride grew from the functionalized silica surface. A reaction mechanism is proposed in order to explain the findings. The results suggest that the oxoaminium salts are good candidates for the functionalization and grafting of surfaces that contain hydroxy groups and for the generation of hybrid materials with improved properties.
