This paper investigates the phenomenon of chaos synchronization of two different chaotic complex systems of the Chen and Lü type via the methods of active control and global synchronization. In this regard, it generalizes earlier work on the synchronization of two identical oscillators in cases where the drive and response systems are different, the parameter space is larger, and the dimensionality increases due to the complexification of the dependent variables. The idea of chaos synchronization is to use the output of the drive system to control the response system so that the output of the response system converges to the output of the drive system as time increases. Lyapunov functions are derived to prove that the differences in the dynamics of the two systems converge to zero exponentially fast, explicit expressions are given for the control functions and numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the success of our chaos synchronization techniques. We also point out that the global synchronization method is better suited for synchronizing identical chaotic oscillators, as it has serious limitations when applied to the case where the drive and response systems are different.  相似文献

Using azolium-based ligands for the construction of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) is a viable strategy to immobilize catalytically active N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHC) or NHC-derived species inside MOF pores. Thus, in the present work, a novel copper MOF referred to as Cu-Sp5-BF4, is constructed using an imidazolinium ligand, H2Sp5-BF4, 1,3-bis(4-carboxyphenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazole-3-ium tetrafluoroborate. The resulting framework, which offers large pore apertures, enables the post-synthetic modification of the C2 carbon on the ligand backbone with methoxide units. A combination of X-ray diffraction (XRD), solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (ssNMR) and electron microscopy (EM), are used to show that the post-synthetic methoxide modification alters the dimensionality of the material, forming a turbostratic phase, an event that further improves the accessibility of the NHC sites promoting a second modification step that is carried out via grafting iridium to the NHC. A combination of X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) methods are used to shed light on the iridium speciation, and the catalytic activity of the Ir–NHC containing MOF is demonstrated using a model reaction, stilbene hydrogenation.

A new MOF with a saturated N-heterocyclic carbene ligand undergoes a series of structural transformations to produce a turbostratic material, which serves as a better support for an iridium hydrogenation catalyst, when compared to the parent material.  相似文献

Cyclic 6-membered aromatic compounds such as benzene and azabenzenes (pyridine, pyridazine, and pyrazine) are known to be light-sensitive, affording, in particular, the Dewar benzene type of intermediates. Pyridine is known to provide the only Dewar pyridine intermediate that undergoes reversible ring-opening. We found that irradiation of photosensitive gels prepared from poly(4-vinyl pyridine) and pyridine at 254 or 312 nm leads to pyridine ring-opening and subsequent formation of 5-amino-2,4-pentadienals. We show that this light-induced process is only partially reversible, and that the photogenerated aminoaldehyde and aminoaldehyde-pending groups undergo self-condensation to produce cross-linked, conjugated oligomers that absorb light in the visible spectrum up to the near-infrared range. Such a sequence of chemical reactions results in the formation of gel with two distinct morphologies: spheres and fiber-like matrices. To gain deeper insight into this process, we prepared poly(4-vinyl pyridine) with low molecular weight (about 2000 g/mol) and monitored the respective changes in absorption, fluorescence, 1H-NMR spectra, and electrical conductivity. The conductivity of the polymer gel upon irradiation changes from ionic to electronic, indicative of a conjugated molecular wire behavior. Quantum mechanical calculations confirmed the feasibility of the proposed polycondensation process. This new polyacetylene analog has potential in thermal energy-harvesting and sensor applications.  相似文献

Siddha medicine is one of the oldest medical systems in the world and is believed to have originated more than 10,000 years ago and is prevalent across ancient Tamil land. It is undeniable that inhibitor preferences rise with increasing solubility in water due to the considerations pertaining to the bioavailability and the ease of which unabsorbed residues can be disposed of. In this study, we showed the phytochemical discrimination of Saussurea costus extracted with water at room temperature as a green extraction procedure. A total of 48 compounds were identified using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The fatty acids had a high phytochemical abundance at 73.8%, followed by tannins at 8.2%, carbohydrates at 6.9%, terpenoids at 4.3%, carboxylic acids at 2.5%, hydrocarbons at 2.4%, phenolic compounds at 0.2%, and sterols at 1.5%. Of these compounds, 22 were docked on the active side and on the catalytic dyad of His41 and Cys145 of the main protease of SARS-CoV-2 (Mpro). Eight active inhibitors were carbohydrates, five were fatty acids, three were terpenoids, two were carboxylic acids, one was a tannin, one was a phenolic compound, and one was a sterol. The best inhibitors were 4,8,13-Cyclotetradecatriene-1,3-diol, 1,5,9-trimethyl-12-(1-methylethyl), Andrographolide, and delta.4-Androstene-3.beta.,17.beta.-diol, with a binding affinity that ranged from −6.1 kcal/mol to −6.5 kcal/mol. The inhibitory effect of Saussurea costus of SARS-CoV-2 entry into the cell was studied using a pseudovirus with Spike proteins from the D614G variant and the VOC variants Gamma and Delta. Based on the viral cycle of SARS-CoV-2, our results suggest that the Saussurea costus aqueous extract has no virucidal effect and inhibits the virus in the events after cell entry. Furthermore, the biological activity of the aqueous extract was investigated against HSV-1 virus and two bacterial strains, namely Staphylococcus aureus ATCC BAA 1026 and Escherichia coli ATCC 9637. According to this study, an enormous number of water-soluble inhibitors were identified from Saussurea costus against the Mpro, and this is unprecedented as far as we know.  相似文献

Vanillin–Schiff’s bases (VSB) were examined as thermal stabilizers and co-stabilizers for rigid poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) in air at 180 °C. Their high stabilizing efficiency were shown by their high thermal stability value (Ts), which is the time elapsed for the detection of HCl gas, if compared with dibasic lead carbonate and cadmium–zinc soap reference stabilizers used industrially, with better extent of discoloration. Blending these derivatives with reference stabilizers in different ratios greatly lengthens the thermal stability and the extent of discoloration of the PVC.Condensation products of Vanillin with amines are very active biologically, besides having good complexation ability with metal ions. The Ni2+ and Co2+ complexes of VSB derivatives gave better thermal stability and less discoloration than the parent organic stabilizer. Also, blending these complexes with either of the used reference stabilizers in different ratios gave better thermal stability and lower extent of discoloration. Thermogravimetric analysis confirmed the improved stability of PVC in the presence of the VSB derivatives, compared to blank PVC, PVC stabilized with reference stabilizers and PVC stabilized with binary mixture of VSB derivatives with reference stabilizer.The stabilizing efficiency of Vanillin–Schiff’s base (VSB) derivatives is attributed to the replacement of the labile chlorine atoms on the PVC chains by a relatively more stable moiety of the organic stabilizer.  相似文献

We report the synthesis of methyl esters of 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propionic, 3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)propionic, 3-(3,5-dihydroxyphenyl)propionic, and 3-(3,4,5-trihydroxyphenyl)propionic acids and their use in a convergent iterative strategy to prepare up to four generations of three libraries, one of 3,4,5- and two of constitutional isomeric 3,4- and 3,5-substituted 3-phenylpropyl dendrons. Each library contains 3-[3,4,5-tris(dodecyl-1-oxy)phenyl]propyl-, 3-[3,4-bis(dodecyl-1-oxy)phenyl]propyl-, 3-{3,4-bis[3-(4-dodecyl-1-oxyphenyl)propyl-1-oxy]phenyl}propyl-, and 3-{3,4,5-tris[3-(4-dodecyl-1-oxyphenyl)propyl-1-oxy]phenyl}propyl ether first-generation dendrons on their periphery and -CO2CH3, -COOH, and -CH2OH groups at their apex. Regardless of their generation number and their periphery, internal, and apex structures, these dendrons self-assemble into supramolecular dendrimers that self-organize into all periodic and quasi-periodic assemblies encountered previously and in several unencountered with architecturally related benzyl ether-based supramolecular dendrimers. A variety of porous columnar lattices that were previously obtained only from dendritic dipeptides and hollow supramolecular spheres were also discovered from these building blocks. The more flexible and less compact 3-phenylpropyl ether repeat units are stable under acidic conditions, facilitate a simpler synthetic strategy, provide faster dynamics of self-assembly into higher-order supramolecular structures of larger dimensions, exhibit lower transition temperatures than the corresponding benzyl ether homologues, and demonstrate the generality of the self-assembly concept based on amphiphilic dendrons.  相似文献

Cyclooxygenase‐2 (COX‐2) overexpression is prominent in inflammatory diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, and cancer. Directly monitoring COX‐2 activity within its native environment poses an exciting approach to account for and illuminate the effect of the local environments on protein activity. Herein, we report the development of CoxFluor, the first activity‐based sensing approach for monitoring COX‐2 within live cells with confocal microscopy and flow cytometry. CoxFluor strategically links a natural substrate with a dye precursor to engage both the cyclooxygenase and peroxidase activities of COX‐2. This catalyzes the release of resorufin and the natural product, as supported by molecular dynamics and ensemble docking. CoxFluor enabled the detection of oxygen‐dependent changes in COX‐2 activity that are independent of protein expression within live macrophage cells.  相似文献

The local electronic structure of Fe(III) and Fe(II) ions in different alcohol solutions (methanol, ethanol, propan-1-ol) is investigated by means of soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy at the iron L 2,3-edge. The experimental spectra are compared with ligand field multiplet simulations. The solvated Fe(III) complex is found to exhibit octahedral symmetry, while a tetragonal symmetry is observed for Fe(II). A decrease in the solvent polarity increases the charge transfer from the oxygen of the alcohol to the iron ions. This conclusion is supported by Hartree-Fock calculations of the Mulliken charge distribution on the alcohols. A larger charge transfer is further observed from the solvent to Fe(III) compared to Fe(II), which is connected to the higher positive charge state of the former. Finally, iron ions in solution are found to prefer the high-spin configuration irrespective of their oxidation state.  相似文献
