After decades of neglect, bromide has recently been re-introduced in therapy as an effective anti-epileptic drug. The present paper describes the methodological optimization and validation of a method based on capillary zone electrophoresis for the rapid determination of bromide in serum using a high-viscosity buffer and a short capillary (10 cm). The optimized running buffer was composed of 90 mM sodium tetraborate, 10 mM sodium chloride, pH 9.24 and 25% glycerol. The separation was carried out at 25 kV at a temperature of 20 °C. Detection was by direct UV absorption at 200 nm wavelength. The limit of detection (signal-to-noise ratio = 5) in serum was 0.017 mM. The precision of the method was verified in blank serum samples spiked with bromide, obtaining intra-day and day-to-day tests, relative standard deviation values ≤0.2% in terms of migration times and values <2% in terms of peaks areas, respectively.  相似文献

We report on the fabrication and characterization of Si/SiO2 Fabry-Perot microcavities. These structures are used to enhance the external quantum efficiency along the cavity axis and the spectral purity of emission from silicon rich oxide films that are used as active media to fabricate a Si based RCLED (resonant cavity light emitting devices). A new structure to electrically pump the active media in the resonant cavity has been designed. These structures are fabricated by chemical vapour deposition on a silicon substrate. The microcavities are tuned at 850 nm and present a quality factor ranging from 17 to 150 depending on the number of pairs constituting the dielectric mirrors. An enhancement of the electro and photoluminescence (PL) signal of 20 times is achieved for the selected emission wavelength. These cavities are characterized by TEM analysis to evaluate film uniformity, thicknesses and the densification after annealing processes for temperature ranging from 800 to 1100 °C. The electrical properties of the active media are analyzed. The electroluminescence spectral features are compared with PL spectra correlated with the quality factor of the cavities. The photometric diagram shows also a high directionality of the emitted light within a 30° cone from the sample normal.  相似文献

A fast, high-yielding synthesis of diaryl ethers with use of mild and metal-free conditions has been developed. The scope includes bulky ortho-substituted diaryl ethers, which are difficult to obtain by metal-catalyzed protocols. Halo-substituents, racemization-prone amino acid derivatives, and heteroaromatics are also tolerated. The methodology is expected to be of high utility in the synthesis of complex molecules and in the pharmaceutical industry.  相似文献

The leaves and twigs of Piper krukoffii, collected in the Carajás National Forest, north Brazil, yielded essential oils (2.0% and 0.8%), the main constituents of which were myristicin (40.3% and 26.7%), apiole (25.4% and 34.1%) and elemicin (2.8% and 3.0%). The antioxidant activities of the oils, methanol extract and its sub-fractions were evaluated. The DPPH EC50 values varied from the ethyl acetate sub-fraction (73.4 +/- 3.7 microg/mL) to the methanol extract (24.9 +/- 0.8 microg/mL), and the ABTS TEAC values ranged in the same order from 265.7 to 349.2 microMol TE/g. These results indicated a significant antioxidant activity for the plant. The lignans (-)-kusunokin, yatein, (-)-hinokin and cubebin were identified in the methanol extract. The hydro-methanolic sub-fraction showed a high value for total phenol content (106.5 +/- 0.7 mg GAE/g), as well as 1H NMR signals for sugar moieties. Crude extracts and sub-fractions were also able to inhibit beta-carotene bleaching, varying from 22.4 to 47.1%. The oils from the leaves and twigs showed strong larvicidal (21.4 and 3.6 microg/mL) and fungicide (0.5 and 0.1 microg/mL) activities.  相似文献

Molecular modeling approaches are used in a versatile way to investigate the properties of diverse organic and inorganic structures such as proteins, biomolecules, nanomaterials, functionalized nanoparticles, and membranes. However, more detailed studies are needed to understand the molecular nature of interactions established in gelatin biofilms impregnated with bioactive compounds. Because of this, we used computational methods to evaluate how the major compounds of Piper divaricatum essential oil can interact with the gelatin biofilm structure. For this, we used as inspiration the paper published, where various properties of the essential oil impregnated gelatin biofilm P. divaricatum are reported. After our computer simulations, we related our molecular observations to biofilm’s structural and mechanical properties. Our results suggest that the major compounds of the essential oil were able to interrupt intermolecular interactions between the chains of the biofilm matrix. However, the compounds also established interactions with the amino acid residues of these chains. Our molecular analyses also explain changes in the structural and mechanical properties of the essential oil-impregnated biofilm. These results can support the planning of functional packaging impregnated with bioactive compounds that can protect food against microorganisms harmful to human health.  相似文献

In a previous article we presented preliminary information on IR spectrometric evidence for the interaction between poly(vinyl chloride) and ketones by using films with residual solvent as samples for spectrometry. This article reports detailed information on PVC–MEK film systems as compared to model compounds. The results indicate that there are “specific” interactions which were observed by a frequency shift of the carbonyl absorption of the ketone and changes on intensities of the C? Cl vibrational modes of the polymer, which are similar to the effects observed for nonpolymeric systems.  相似文献

A new technique to determine the reactivity ratios for monomers is described. It is based on vapor-phase chromatography and can be used for any volatile monomer. A new simplified equation was deduced which permits the direct use of the retention times to obtain the pair r1r2. The method is suggested for use in determination of the molar ratios of the chemical units in the polymer chain, regardless of chemical composition or constitution. The simplicity of this technique allows its use for monomer–polymer systems composed of any number of volatile monomers. The validity of this method was checked by using the pair methyl methacrylate–styrene. This technique is also being applied to the study of kinetics in polymerizations, since it allows the measurements of several samples taken from a single experiment.  相似文献

A Spectrofluorimetric method for the determination of traces of bromide has been developed. The method is based on the bromination of fluorescein after bromide and hypochlorite form bromine, giving the less fluorescent eosin. The fluorescence decrease is used as the analytical signal. The calibration graph is linear over the range 10 to 80 g/1. The detection limit is 3 g/1 and the relative standard deviation 1.0%. The method has been satisfactorily applied to the determination of bromide in natural waters.  相似文献

Chemical composition of the methanol extract of Myrciaria floribunda leaves was investigated. The nor-lupane triterpenoids platanic acid and messagenic I acid were identified, along with other known triterpenoids (betulinic aldehyde, ursolic acid acetate and betulinic acid), a new lupane triterpenoid (2α,6α,30-trihydroxybetulinic acid) and the flavonoids catechin, quercetrin and mirycitrin. The structures were determined by spectroscopic methods (NMR, LC-MS, GC-MS). The major isolated compound was betulinic acid. The methanol extract and 2α,6α,30-trihydroxybetulinic acid were evaluated for their DPPH scavenging potential. The tested triterpenoid was one hundred times more active than betulinic acid, but less active than the extract. Screening for antimicrobial activity showed that the methanol extract was active against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, but inactive against Candida albicans and Candida krusei, while 2α,6α,30-trihydroxybetulinic acid was inactive to all tested microorganisms.  相似文献
