The ability to observe different ice nucleation processes in LiCl · RH2O electrolytes is demonstrated by light scattering experiments. The homogeneous ice nucleation mechanism is analyzed on the basis of Turnbull's theory. This nucleation operates in supercooled water, as deduced from the volumic dependence of the samples on R(5 < R < 9), and is compatible with the definition of the electrolyte as a heterogeneous submicroscopic LiCl·6H2O medium composed of H2O and LiCl·6H2O.  相似文献

The coupling of nano high-performance liquid chromatography (nanoHPLC) with matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry (MS) via an automatic spotting roboter was developed and adapted for the first time for the analysis of complex mixtures of glycosphingolipids (GSLs). The 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid and 6-azo-2-thiothymine matrix systems were adjusted to concurrently meet the requirements for reproducible and homogeneous crystal formation with the liquid chromatography (LC) eluent under the variable LC solvent composition over the course gradient and high ionization efficiency of the GSL species, without the need for recrystallization. Precise adjustment of the automatic spotting parameters in terms of matrix flow rate, on-tip collection time of the matrix/LC eluent solution and the matrix spotting mode, i.e., continuous and discontinuous, was accomplished to collect individually nanoHPLC-separated species within distinct spots and consequently recover by MALDI MS screening all major and minor GSL species in the mixtures. The nanoHPLC/MALDI MS coupling protocol was developed and applied to a mixture of neutral GSLs purified from human erythrocytes and a monosialoganglioside mixture expressed by the murine MDAY-D2 cell line. Additionally, on-line nanoHPLC/MALDI doping with lithium cations of individually separated neutral GSLs was introduced to enhance data interpretation of the GSL MS pattern, while preserving the same level of information and ultimately to enhance structural assignment of components of interest. The method is demonstrated to be highly sensitive, reaching the low femtomole level of detection of individual GSL species and is highlighted as a versatile analytical tool for glycolipidomic studies. Suppose that X and Y are Banach spaces isomorphic to complemented subspaces of each other. In 1996, W. T. Gowers solved the Schroeder-Bernstein Problem for Banach spaces by showing that X is not necessarily isomorphic to Y. However, if X 2 is complemented in X with supplement A and Y 2 is complemented in Y with supplement B, that is,
then the classical Pełczyński’s decomposition method for Banach spaces shows that X is isomorphic to Y whenever we can assume that AB = {0}. But unfortunately, this is not always possible. In this paper, we show that it is possible to find all finite relations of isomorphism between A and B which guarantee that X is isomorphic to Y. In order to do this, we say that a quadruple (p, q, r, s) in is a P-Quadruple for Banach spaces if X is isomorphic to Y whenever the supplements A and B satisfy . The synthesis of 2,2'-dihydroxy-3,3'-di(carboxymethyl)-1,1'-binaphthyl (H2L) and its novel metal complexes with Co(II), Ni(II), Fe(III) and Th(IV) salts are reported. The ligand and its metal complexes have been characterized on the basis of analytical, conductance, spectral (IR, UV-vis, 1H NMR, mass) and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The M?ssbauer spectrum of the Fe(III) complex indicates a low-spin octahedral geometry around the Fe(III) ion. The IR and 1H NMR spectral data show that the ligand behaves in a dibasic bidentate fashion coordinating to two metal atoms through the two deprotonated naphthyl OH groups and acts in a dibasic tetradentate manner using both carbonyl oxygen's and the deprotonated naphthyl OH groups coordinating to two metal ions. Thermal studies (TGA, DTA) confirm the presence of solvents either inside or outside the coordination sphere and support the mechanism of the decomposition process. The value of [alpha]D20 for the ligand has been determined in DMSO.  相似文献

The structural stability of sulfolane (tetrahydrothiophene1,1-dioxide) and 3-sulfolene (dihydrothiophene1,1-dioxide) was investigated by DFT-B3LYP and ab initio MP2 calculations with 6-311+G**) basis set. The calculated symmetric ring-puckering potential of 3-sulfolene at the B3LYP level is consistent with a flat minimum that corresponds to a planar ring but at the MP2 level with a double minimum with a low barrier of about 193calmol(-1) to ring planarity in reasonable agreement with experimental results. From the calculations at the two levels of theory sulfolane was predicted to exist predominantly in the twist conformation. The vibrational wavenumbers were calculated at the MP2/6-31G** level of theory and the potential energy distributions PED among the symmetry coordinates of the normal modes were computed for the low-energy structure of the molecules. Complete vibrational assignments were provided on the basis of the calculated PED values. The experimental infrared and Raman spectra of the two molecules were compared to the calculated ones.  相似文献

In this paper we report for the first time on the room temperature template synthesis of germanium and silicon nanowires by potentiostatic electrochemical deposition from the air- and water stable ionic liquid 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amide ([Py(1,4)]Tf(2)N) containing GeCl(4) and SiCl(4) as a Ge and Si source, respectively. Commercially-available track-etched polycarbonate membranes (PC) with an average nominal pore diameter of 90-400 nm were used as templates. Ge and Si nanowires with an average diameter corresponding to the nanopores' diameter and lengths of a few micrometres were reproducibly obtained. Structural characterization of the nanowires was performed by EDX, TEM, HR-SEM and Raman spectroscopy. Despite the rough surface of the nanowires, governed mostly by the original shape of the nanopore's wall of the commercially-available PC membrane, preliminary structural characterizations demonstrate the promising prospective of this innovative elaboration process compared to constraining high vacuum and high temperature methods.  相似文献

The electrodeposition of Ge, Si and, for the first time, of Si(x)Ge(1-x) from the air- and water-stable ionic liquid 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amide ([Py(1,4)]Tf(2)N) containing GeCl(4) and/or SiCl(4) as precursors is investigated by cyclic voltammetry and high-resolution scanning electron microscopy. GeCl(2) in [Py(1,4)]Tf(2)N is electrochemically prepared in a two-compartment cell to be used as Ge precursor instead of GeCl(4) in order to avoid the chemical attack of Ge(iv) on deposited Ge. Silicon, germanium and Si(x)Ge(1-x) can be deposited reproducibly and easily in this ionic liquid. Interestingly, the Si(x)Ge(1-x) deposit showed a strong colour change (from red to blue) at room temperature during electrodeposition, which is likely to be due to a quantum size effect. The observed colours are indicative of band gaps between at least 1.5 and 3.2 eV. The potential of ionic liquids in Si(x)Ge(1-x) electrodeposition is demonstrated.  相似文献

An asymmetric induction using (S)-1-arylethylamine-based chiral auxiliary and two Bu(3)SnH-mediated radical cyclisations have been developed for a total synthesis of (-)-gamma-lycorane (1). The first cyclisation proceeded in 5-endo-trig manner with moderate diastereoselectivtiy to give (3aR,7aR)-octahydroindol-2-one 6b as the major product using alpha-iodo-N-(6-oxocyclohexen-1-yl)-N-[(S)-1-phenylethyl] acetamide (5b). In the second cyclisation, the radical precursor 8 was used as substrate to construct the optically active lycorane skeleton 15 which was reduced using LiAlH4 into (-)-gamma-lycorane (1).  相似文献

The solvation of six solvatochromic probes in a large number of solvents (33-68) was examined at 25 degrees C. The probes employed were the following: 2,6-diphenyl-4-(2,4,6-triphenylpyridinium-1-yl) phenolate (RB); 4-[(E)2-(1-methylpyridinium-4-yl)ethenyl] phenolate, MePM; 1-methylquinolinium-8-olate, QB; 2-bromo-4-[(E)-2-(1-methylpyridinium-4-yl)ethenyl] phenolate, MePMBr, 2,6-dichloro-4-(2,4,6-triphenyl pyridinium-1-yl) phenolate (WB); and 2,6-dibromo-4-[(E)-2-(1-methylpyridinium-4-yl)ethenyl] phenolate, MePMBr(2), respectively. Of these, MePMBr is a novel compound. They can be grouped in three pairs, each with similar pK(a) in water but with different molecular properties, for example, lipophilicity and dipole moment. These pairs are formed by RB and MePM; QB and MePMBr; WB and MePMBr(2), respectively. Theoretical calculations were carried out in order to calculate their physicochemical properties including bond lengths, dihedral angles, dipole moments, and wavelength of absorption of the intramolecular charge-transfer band in four solvents, water, methanol, acetone, and DMSO, respectively. The data calculated were in excellent agreement with available experimental data, for example, bond length and dihedral angles. This gives credence to the use of the calculated properties in explaining the solvatochromic behaviors observed. The dependence of an empirical solvent polarity scale E(T)(probe) in kcal/mol on the physicochemical properties of the solvent (acidity, basicity, and dipolarity/polarizability) and those of the probes (pK(a), and dipole moment) was analyzed by using known multiparameter solvation equations. For each pair of probes, values of E(T)(probe) (for example, E(T)(MePM) versus E(T)(RB)) were found to be linearly correlated with correlation coefficients, r, between 0.9548 and 0.9860. For the mercyanine series, the values of E(T)(probe) also correlated linearly, with (r) of 0.9772 (MePMBr versus MePM) and 0.9919 (MePMBr(2) versus MePM). The response of each pair of probes (of similar pK(a)) to solvent acidity is the same, provided that solute-solvent hydrogen-bonding is not seriously affected by steric crowding (as in case of RB). We show, for the first time, that the response to solvent dipolarity/polarizability is linearly correlated to the dipole moment of the probes. The successive introduction of bromine atoms in MePM (to give MePMBr, then MePMBr(2)) leads to the following linear decrease: pK(a) in water, length of the phenolate oxygen-carbon bond, length of the central ethylenic bond, susceptibility to solvent acidity, and susceptibility to solvent dipolarity/polarizability. Thus studying the solvation of probes whose molecular structures are varied systematically produces a wealth of information on the effect of solute structure on its solvation. The results of solvation of the present probes were employed in order to test the goodness of fit of two independent sets of solvent solvatochromic parameters.  相似文献
