We have fabricated a new optical storage media using minute spheres arranged on a surface relief grating (SRG). Using minute spheres as recording bits, we can limit recordable regions by sphere size, and can realize high resolution reproduction in the plane direction. Surface relief structures were made on a polymer thin film on which we performed diffusion arrangement and adsorptive fixation of minute spheres. The stability of the arranged spheres was confirmed for heating and washing. Furthermore, we used a dipping method for a more simple arrangement of minute spheres on a large area of the substrate and made a monolayer sample of the spheres. We were able to realize a highly sensitive reconstruction of the medium using a confocal optical system as a record and readout system.  相似文献

When a stress is applied on a metallic glass it deforms following Hook's law. Therefore it may appear obvious that a metallic glass deforms elastically. Using x-ray diffraction and anisotropic pair-density function analysis we show that only about 3/4 in volume fraction of metallic glasses deforms elastically, whereas the rest of the volume is anelastic and in the experimental time scale deform without resistance. We suggest that this anelastic portion represents residual liquidity in the glassy state. Many theories, such as the free-volume theory, assume the density of defects in the glassy state to be of the order of 1%, but this result shows that it is as much as a quarter.  相似文献

Microwave irradiation has been used for accelerating organic reactions as a heating method and has been proven to be useful in laboratory scale organic synthesis. The major drawback of microwave chemistry is the difficulty in scaling up, mainly because of the low penetration depth of microwaves. The combination of microwave chemistry and flow chemistry is considered to overcome the problem in scaling up of microwave‐assisted organic reactions, and some flow microwave systems have been developed in both academic and industrial communities. In this context, we have demonstrated the scale‐up of fundamental organic reactions using a novel flow microwave system developed by the academic‐industrial alliance between the University of Shizuoka, Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, and SAIDA FDS. In this Personal Account, we summarize the recent progress of our scalable microwave‐assisted continuous synthesis using the SAIDA flow microwave apparatus.  相似文献

New mixed-valent, Ni1+/Ni2+, metastable nickelate, La3Ni2O6, was synthesized by low-temperature reduction of La3Ni2O7 with CaH2. The crystal structure of La3Ni2O6 (space group: I4/mmm, a = 3.9686(1) A and c = 19.3154(6) A) was determined from powder neutron diffraction data by Rietveld analysis. The structure can be described as an intergrowth of LaO2 fluorite and double infinite layer (LaNiO2)2 blocks and represents the n = 2 homologue of the T'-type series Lan+1NinO2n+2. Such double T'-type structural arrangement has never been observed before. The 3d9/3d8 electronic configuration of Ni1+/Ni2+ and the presence of NiO2 infinite layers resemble electronic and structural features of the superconducting cuprates. X-ray absorption spectroscopy supports the 1+/2+ oxidation state and planar coordination of Ni in agreement with the structure determination.  相似文献

The mechanism of aerobic oxidation of alcohols using (ON)Ru(salen) complex as catalyst under photo-irradiation was examined through studies of kinetics of the oxidation, kinetic isotope effect in the oxidation, and effect of the ligand structure on the chemoselectivity of the oxidation of primary and secondary alcohols. It was demonstrated that the aerobic oxidation includes an intramolecular hydrogen atom transfer process that is attributed to realization of efficient differentiation of primary and secondary alcohols in the oxidation.  相似文献

Abstract— CAF-MM1 cells derived from a goldfish have photoreactivability for the damage induced by ultraviolet light (UV). When UV-irradiated cells were incubated in the dark at 26AoC, the longest interval in which photoreactivation (PR) was observed (i.e. effective time for PR), measured by colony formation technique, was about 30 h after the UV irradiation. However, if the cells were incubated at 20AoC, the effective time was prolonged. Since each time appeared to correspond to the doubling time of the cells at each temperature, the loss of photoreactivability is suggested to be closely related to cell growth or progression of cell cycle. The loss of PR was not observed in the cells held in confluence up to 48 h after UV irradiation, in support of the above suggestion. Photoreactivating enzyme in growing CAF-MM1 cells incubated in the dark for 24 h after UV irradiation was shown to be active, so that it is not possible that the cause of the loss of PR is change in the activity of photoreactivating enzyme.  相似文献
