Two new pentadentate, pendent arm macrocyclic ligands of the type 1-alkyl-4,7-bis(4-tert-butyl-2-mercaptobenzyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane where alkyl represents an isopropyl, (L(Pr))(2-), or an ethyl group, (L(Et))(2-), have been synthesized. It is shown that they bind strongly to ferric ions generating six-coordinate species of the type [Fe(L(alk))X]. The ground state of these complexes is governed by the nature of the sixth ligand, X: [Fe(III)(L(Et))Cl] (2) possesses an S = 5/2 ground state as do [Fe(III)(L(Et))(OCH(3))] (3) and [Fe(III)(L(Pr))(OCH(3))] (4). In contrast, the cyano complexes [Fe(III)(L(Et))(CN)] (5) and [Fe(III)(L(Pr))(CN)] (6) are low spin ferric species (S = 1/2). The octahedral [FeNO](7) nitrosyl complex [Fe(L(Pr))(NO)] (7) displays spin equilibrium behavior S = 1/2<==>S = (3)/(2) in the solid state. Complexes [Zn(L(Pr))] (1), 4.CH(3)OH, 5.0.5toluene.CH(2)Cl(2), and 7.2.5CH(2)Cl(2) have been structurally characterized by low-temperature (100 K) X-ray crystallography. All iron complexes have been carefully studied by zero- and applied-field M?ssbauer spectroscopy. In addition, Sellmann's complexes [Fe(pyS(4))(NO)](0/1+) and [Fe(pyS(4))X] (X = PR(3), CO, SR(2)) have been studied by EPR and M?ssbauer spectroscopies and DFT calculations (pyS(4) = 2,6-bis(2-mercaptophenylthiomethyl)pyridine(2-)). It is concluded that the electronic structure of 7 with an S = 1/2 ground state is low spin ferrous (S(Fe) = 0) with a coordinated neutral NO radical (Fe(II)-NO) whereas the S = 3/2 state corresponds to a high spin ferric (S(Fe) = 5/2) antiferromagnetically coupled to an NO(-) anion (S = 1). The S = 1/2<==>S = 3/2 equilibrium is then that of valence tautomers rather than that of a simple high spin<==>low spin crossover.  相似文献

Acrylamide complexes of metal nitrates: [M(O‐OC(NH2)CHCH2)n(H2O)m][NO3]2 (M = Co( 1 ), Ni( 2 ) (n = 6 and m = 0) and Zn( 3 ) (n = 4 and m = 2)) have been determined by using single crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. All complexes crystallize in the triclinic space group . The structures of 1 and 2 represent octahedral species [M(AAm)6]2+ (AAm = O‐OC(NH2)CHCH2 and M = Co or Ni) and uncoordinated nitrate ions. The structure of 3 involves the octahedral cation [Zn(AAm)4(H2O)2]2+ in which the Zn2+ environment includes oxygen atoms of four acrylamide and two water molecules that are stabilized using ionic nitrate ions. The observations of the solid‐state IR spectroscopic vibrational frequencies of these acrylamide complexes are in agreement with the crystal structures.  相似文献

Preparation, Characterization and Reaction Behaviour of Sodium and Potassium Hydridosilylamides R2(H)Si—N(M)R′ (M = Na, K) — Crystal Structure of [(Me3C)2(H)Si—N(K)SiMe3]2 · THF The alkali metal hydridosilylamides R2(H)Si—N(M)R′ 1a‐Na — 1d—Na and 1a‐K — 1d‐K ( a : R = Me, R′ = CMe3; b : R = Me, R′ = SiMe3; c : R = Me, R′ = Si(H)Me2; d : R = CMe3, R′= SiMe3) have been prepared by reaction of the corresponding hydridosilylamines 1a — 1d with alkali metal M (M = Na, K) in presence of styrene or with alkali metal hydrides MH (M = Na, K). With NaNH2 in toluene Me2(H)Si—NHCMe3 ( 1a ) reacted not under metalation but under nucleophilic substitution of the H(Si) atom to give Me2(NaNH)Si—NHCMe3 ( 5 ). In the reaction of Me2(H)Si—NHSiMe3 ( 1b ) with NaNH2 intoluene a mixture of Me2(NaNH)Si—NHSiMe3 and Me2(H)Si—N(Na)SiMe3 ( 1b‐Na ) was obtained. The hydridosilylamides have been characterized spectroscopically. The spectroscopic data of these amides and of the corresponding lithium derivatives are discussed. The 29Si‐NMR‐chemical shifts and the 29Si—1H coupling constants of homologous alkali metal hydridosilylamides R2(H)Si—N(M)R′ (M = Li, Na, K) are depending on the alkali metal. With increasing of the ionic character of the M—N bond M = K > Na > Li the 29Si‐NMR‐signals are shifted upfield and the 29Si—1H coupling constants except for compounds (Me3C)(H)Si—N(M)SiMe3 are decreased. The reaction behaviour of the amides 1a‐Na — 1c‐Na and 1a‐K — 1c‐K was investigated toward chlorotrimethylsilane in tetrahydrofuran (THF) and in n‐pentane. In THF the amides produced just like the analogous lithium amides the corresponding N‐silylation products Me2(H)Si—N(SiMe3)R′ ( 2a — 2c ) in high yields. The reaction of the sodium amides with chlorotrimethylsilane in nonpolar solvent n‐pentane produced from 1a‐Na the cyclodisilazane [Me2Si—NCMe3]2 ( 8a ), from 1b‐Na and 1‐Na mixtures of cyclodisilazane [Me2Si—NR′]2 ( 8b , 8c ) and N‐silylation product 2b , 2c . In contrast to 1b‐Na and 1c‐Na and to the analogous lithium amides the reaction of 1b‐K and 1c‐K with chlorotrimethylsilane afforded the N‐silylation products Me2(H)Si—N(SiMe3)R′ ( 2b , 2c ) in high yields. The amide [(Me3C)2(H)Si—N(K)SiMe3]2·THF ( 9 ) crystallizes in the space group C2/c with Z = 4. The central part of the molecule is a planar four‐membered K2N2 ring. One potassium atom is coordinated by two nitrogen atoms and the other one by two nitrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Furthermore K···H(Si) and K···CH3 contacts exist in 9 . The K—N distances in the K2N2 ring differ marginally.  相似文献

The trinuclear Cu(II) complex [(talen)Cu(II)(3)] (1) using the new triplesalen ligand H(6)talen has been synthesized and structurally characterized. The three Cu(II) ions are bridged in a m-phenylene linkage by the phloroglucinol backbone of the ligand. This m-phenylene bridging mode results in ferromagnetic couplings with an S(t) = (3)/(2) spin ground state, which has been analyzed by means of EPR spectroscopy and DFT calculations. The EPR spectrum exhibits an unprecedented pattern of 10 hyperfine lines due to the coupling of three Cu(II) ions (I = (3)/(2)). Resonances around g = 4 in both perpendicular and parallel mode EPR spectra demonstrate a zero-field splitting of D approximately 74 x 10(-4) cm(-1) arising from anisotropic/antisymmetric exchange interactions. The DFT calculations show an alteration in the sign of the spin densities of the central benzene ring corroborating the spin-polarization mechanism as origin for the ferromagnetic coupling.  相似文献

Crystal Structures of Acid Hydrates and Oxonium Salts. XX. Oxonium Tetrafluoroborates H3OBF4, [H5O2]BF4, and [H(CH3OH)2]BF4 The crystal structures of three oxonium tetrafluoroborates were determined. H3OBF4, oxonium tetrafluoroborate proper, is triclinic with space group P1 , Z = 2 and the unit cell dimensions a = 4.758, b = 6.047, c = 6.352 Å and α = 80.40, β = 79.48, γ = 88.25° at ?26°C. Cations H3O+ and anions BF4? are linked by hydrogen bonds O? H…?F into ribbons of condensed rings. In [H5O2]BF4 (diaquohydrogen tetrafluoroborate, monoclinic, P21/c, Z = 4, a = 6.584, b = 9.725, c = 7.084 Å, β = 95.15° at ?100°C) the hydrogen bond in the cation H5O2+ is 2.412 Å short, asymmetric and approximately centered and the linking of cations and anions three-dimensional. In [H(CH3OH)2]BF4 (Bis(methanol)hydrogen tetrafluoroborate, monoclinic, P21/c, Z = 4, a = 5.197, b = 14.458, c = 9.318 Å, β = 94.61° at ?50°C) the cation [H(CH3OH)2]+ is characterized for the first time in a crystal structure with an again very short (2.394 Å), asymmetric and effectively centered hydrogen bond. By further hydrogen bonds cations and anions form only dimers of the formula unit of centrosymmetric cyclic structure.  相似文献

Luminophoric dialdehyde 1,4‐bis[4‐formylphenylethynyl‐(2,5‐dioctadecyloxyphenyl)‐buta‐1,3‐diyne] ( 4 ) enables the synthesis of diyne‐containing hybrid polyphenyleneethynylene/poly(p‐phenylenevinylene) polymer poly[1,4‐phenylene‐ethynylene‐1,4‐(2,5‐dioctadecyloxy)phenylene‐butadi‐1,3‐ynylene‐1,4‐(2,5‐dioctadecyloxy)phenylene‐ethynylene‐1,4‐phenylene‐ethene‐1,2‐diyl‐1,4‐(2,5‐dioctadecyloxy)phenylene‐ethene‐1,2‐diyl] ( 7 ) with a well‐defined general structure (? Ph? C?C? Ar? C?C? C?C? Ar? C?C? Ph? CH?CH? Ar? CH?CH? )n, which was confirmed by NMR and infrared spectroscopy. The highly luminescent material is thermostable, soluble in usual organic solvents through the grafting of octadecyloxy side groups, and can be processed into transparent films. With the aim to investigate the effect of ? C?C? C?C? in the photophysical behavior of 7 , a comparison of the photophysics of monomers 3 [1,4‐bis(4‐formylphenylethynyl)‐2,5‐dioctadecyloxybenzene] and 4 and subsequently of their respective polymers 6 and 7 has been carried out. Similar photophysical behaviors for 6 (poly[1,4‐phenylenethynylene‐1,4‐(2,5‐dioctadecyloxyphenylene)ethene‐1,2‐diyl]) and 7 were observed in dilute CHCl3 solution as a result of an identical chromophore system responsible for the absorption (λa = 448 nm) and emission (λf = 490 nm) in both compounds. The increased planarization and enhanced rigidity of the conjugated backbone in the solid state at room temperature as well as in frozen dilute tetrahydrofuran solution at 77 K cause the bathochromic shift of the absorption and emission spectra. The large octadecyloxy side chains obviously limit strong π‐π interchain interactions in the solid films, which explains the high fluorescence quantum yields of 35 and 52% obtained for 6 and 7 , respectively. The energetically arduous migration of the π electron through the diyne units not only requires a higher threshold voltage for the detection of photoconductivity in 7 but could possibly limit radiationless deactivation channels of the exciton, which explains the approximate 20% fluorescence quantum yields difference between 6 and 7 in the solid state. The electron‐withdrawing effect of the triple bonds confer both 6 and 7 with a good electron‐accepting property (Eox = 1.39 V vs Ag/AgCl) if used in light‐emitting diode devices. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The bidentate ligands N-phenyl-o-phenylenediamine, H(2)((2)L(N)IP), or its analogue 2-(2-trifluoromethyl)anilino-4,6-di-tert-butylphenol, ((4)L(N)IP), react with [Co(II)(CH(3)CO(2))(2)]4H(2)O and triethylamine in acetonitrile in the presence of air yielding the square-planar, four-coordinate species [Co((2)L(N))(2)] (1) and [Co((4)L(O))(2)] (4) with an S=1/2 ground state. The corresponding nickel complexes [Ni((4)L(O))(2)] (8) and its cobaltocene reduced form [Co(III)(Cp)(2)][Ni((4)L(O))(2)] (9) have also been synthesized. The five-coordinate species [Co((2)L(N))(2)(tBu-py)] (2) (S=1/2) and its one-electron oxidized forms [Co((2)L(N))(2)(tBu-py)](O(2)CCH(3)) (2 a) or [Co((2)L(N))(2)I] (3) with diamagnetic ground states (S=0) have been prepared, as has the species [Co((4)L(O))(2)(CH(2)CN)] (7). The one-electron reduced form of 4, namely [Co(Cp)(2)][Co((4)L(O))(2)] (5) has been generated through the reduction of 4 with [Co(Cp)(2)]. Complexes 1, 2, 2 a, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9 have been characterized by X-ray crystallography (100 K). The ligands are non-innocent and may exist as catecholate-like dianions ((2)L(N)IP)(2-), ((4)L(N)IP)(2-) or pi-radical semiquinonate monoanions ((2)L(N)ISQ)(*) (-), ((4)L(N)ISQ)(*) (-) or as neutral benzoquinones ((2) L(N)IBQ)(0), ((4) L(N)IBQ)(0); the spectroscopic oxidation states of the central metal ions vary accordingly. Electronic absorption, magnetic circular dichroism, and EPR spectroscopy, as well as variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements have been used to experimentally determine the electronic structures of these complexes. Density functional theoretical (DFT) and correlated ab initio calculation have been performed on the neutral and monoanionic species [Co((1)L(N))(2)](0,-) in order to understand the structural and spectroscopic properties of complexes. It is shown that the corresponding nickel complexes 8 and 9 contain a low-spin nickel(II) ion regardless of the oxidation level of the ligand, whereas for the corresponding cobalt complexes the situation is more complicated. Spectroscopic oxidation states describing a d(6) (Co(III)) or d(7) (Co(II)) electron configuration cannot be unambiguously assigned.  相似文献

A highly modular radical cascade strategy based upon radical cyclisation/allylic substitution sequence between alkyl/aryl bromides, 1,3-dienes and nucleophiles ranging from sulfinates to amines, phenols and 1,3-dicarbonyls is described (>80 examples). Palladium phosphine complexes – which merge properties of photo- and cross coupling-catalysts – allow to forge three bonds with complete 1,4-selectivity and stereocontrol, delivering highly value added carbocyclic and heterocyclic motifs that can feature – inter alia – vicinal quaternary centers, free protic groups, gem-difluoro motifs and strained rings. Furthermore, a flow chemistry approach was for the first time applied in palladium–photocatalysed endeavors involving radicals.

A MnI-catalyzed regioselective C−H allenylation is reported that allows a broad range of 2-allenylindoles to be synthesized regioselectively on a gram scale under simple conditions. Notably, a highly efficient chirality transfer was observed (up to 93 % ee) in this transformation. This procedure was further found to allow, for the first time, the direct preparation of ketones by MnI-catalyzed C−H activation. Mechanistic investigations revealed that the precoordination of the oxygen atom to the manganese center as well as the congested tertiary carbon atom in the propargylic carbonates play a crucial role.  相似文献
