The magnetic investigations of potassium holmium double tungstate KHo(WO4)2 have been performed. The results of measurements of magnetic susceptibility and magnetization as a function of both temperature (T = 0.5–100 K) and magnetic field (up to 2 T) are presented.  相似文献

For a Toeplitz operator T φ , we study the interrelationship between smoothness properties of the symbol φ and those of the functions annihilated by T φ . For instance, it follows from our results that if φ is a unimodular function on the circle lying in some Lipschitz or Zygmund space Λα with 0 < α < ∞, and if f is an H p -function (p ≥ 1) with T φ f = 0, then f ∈ Λα and
for some c = c(α, p) and d = d(α, p); an explicit formula for the optimal exponent d is provided. Similar—and more general—results for various smoothness classes are obtained, and several approaches are discussed. Furthermore, since a given non-null function fH p lies in the kernel of with , we derive information on the smoothness of H p -functions with smooth arguments. This can be viewed as a natural counterpart to the existing theory of analytic functions with smooth moduli. The acousto-optic figure of merit M 2 of the InI single crystal has been measured using the Dixon method at a laser-radiation wavelength of 1.15 μm. The maximum measured value was M 2 = 1100 × 10–15 s3/kg. It is comparable with the figures of merit of the most efficient acousto-optic materials: TeO2 and KRS-5. The velocities of longitudinal ultrasonic waves along the basic directions of the InI single crystal have also been measured.  相似文献

The electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) of Nd3+ ion in KY(WO4)2 single crystal was investigated at T=4.2 K using an X-band spectrometer. The observed resonance absorption represents the complex superposition of three spectra corresponding to neodymium isotopes with different nuclear momenta. The EPR spectrum is characterized by a strong g-factor anisotropy. The temperature dependences of the g-factor were caused by strong spin-orbit and orbit-lattice coupling. The resonance lines become broader as temperature increases due to the short spin-lattice relaxation time.  相似文献

The structure and properties of magnetoresistive ceramics La0.6Sr0.2Mn1.2 − x Co x O3 ± δ (x = 0−0.3) sintered at a temperature of 1200°C are investigated using x-ray diffraction, resistance, and magnetic (χ ac , M, 55Mn NMR) measurements. It is shown that the samples contain the rhombohedral (R c) perovskite (90%) and tetragonal (I41/amd) hausmannite (10%) phases. The lattice parameters of these phases decrease with an increase in the cobalt content x. The real perovskite structure involves point defects (anion and cation vacancies) and nanostructured defects of the cluster type. An analysis of the asymmetrically broadened 55Mn NMR spectra confirms the high-frequency electron-hole exchange between Mn3+ and Mn4+ ions and a local inhomogeneity of their environment by other ions and defects of the point and cluster types. An increase in the Co content leads to an increase in the electrical resistivity, an enhancement of the magnetoresistance (MR) effect, and a decrease in the magnetic susceptibility and the temperatures of the metal-semiconductor (T ms ) and ferromagnetic-paramagnetic (T C) phase transitions due to the suppression of the exchange interaction between Mn3+ and Mn4+ ions by vacancies and clusters. The introduction of cobalt results in a decrease in the ferromagnetic component and the activation energy. The magnetoresistance effect in the vicinity of the phase transition temperatures T ms and T C is associated with the scattering of charge carriers from intracrystallite inhomogeneities of the lattice, and the low-temperature magnetoresistance effect is governed by the tunneling at the intercrystalline boundaries. A complex of studies of the physical properties of thin lanthanum manganite La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 films were performed for a monolithic layered structure consisting of a LiNbO3 substrate and a La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 thin epitaxial film. For the first time, not only ordinary acoustoelectric (AE) current of charge carriers dragged by a surface acoustic wave, but also longitudinal anomalous AE current, which flowed in a distinguished direction independent of the direction of the surface acoustic wave propagation, was observed. The anomalous AE effect predominated close to the metal-insulator transition, whereas the odd AE effect predominated at high and low temperatures. The sign of the ordinary odd AE effect corresponded to hole conduction of the film. A theoretical analysis showed that the anomalous AE effect is due to a strong film conduction modulation caused by deformation created by the surface acoustic wave. The theoretical results were in close agreement with experiment. The temperature dependences of resistivity ρ(both in the absence of a magnetic field and in fields of up to 3 T), high-frequency magnetic susceptibility, and thermoelectric power were studied.  相似文献

The electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) of Yb3+ ions in a KY(WO4)2 single crystal was investigated at T=4.2 K and fixed frequency of 9.38 GHz. The resonance absorption observed on the lowest Kramers doublet represents the complex superposition of three spectra, corresponding to the ytterbium isotopes with different nuclear moments. The EPR spectrum is characterized by a strong anisotropy of the g-factors. The temperature dependence of the g-factors is shown to be caused by the strong spin-orbital and orbital-lattice coupling. p-Phenylenediamine was oxidized with p-benzoquinone in the aqueous solutions of methanesulfonic acid (MSA). The conductivity of the products increased with increasing concentration of MSA from 1.5?×?10?12 S cm?1 in 0.1 M MSA up to 3.4?×?10?4 S cm?1 in 5 M MSA. The low-molecular-weight products are basically composed of one p-benzoquinone and two p-phenylenediamine molecules. Their molecular structure is discussed on the basis of mass, Fourier-transform infrared, Raman, NMR and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopies. The formation of 2,5-di(p-phenylenediamine)-p-benzoquinone protonated with methanesulfonic acid best complies with the information provided by spectroscopic techniques. Its conversion to hydroquinone tautomer explains the formation of unpaired spins observed by EPR and their potential contribution to the conduction.  相似文献

Potassium holmium tungstate KHo(WO4)2 crystal, as other tungstates, shows the high temperature irreversible structural phase transition. Owing to this, KHo(WO4)2 single crystals were grown due to spontaneous crystallisation with use of the High Temperature Solution Growth technique, which allows to lower the temperature of crystallisation below the temperature of the phase transition. K2W2O7 was used as a solvent. It provides a very wide temperature range of crystallisation and does not introduce additional impurities into the melt. The starting flux contained 20 mol% of KHo(WO4)2 dissolved in K2W2O7. It was found that potassium holmium double tungstate is pleochroic. The two different optical spectra: one spectrum for electrical vector of linearly polarised light parallel to optical Y axis (main spectrum) and second one for electrical vector perpendicular to Y axis were measured.  相似文献
