The spectral distribution and decay of the blue-green luminescence of AgCl has been measured at very low temperatures, using u.v. laser excitation. A structure was observed in the emission band at 77°K. The decay consists of three processes: a) a very fast process which follows the laser pulse (10–8 sec), b) a fast exponential process which is also observed with low intensity u.v. excitation,(10–4–10–5 sec) and, finally, c) a slow exponential process (seconds). 相似文献

The nine quadratically convergent algorithms for function minimization appearing in Ref. 2 are tested through several numerical examples. A quadratic function and four nonquadratic functions are investigated. For the quadratic function, the results show that, if high-precision arithmetic together with high accuracy in the one-dimensional search is employed, all the algorithms behave identically: they all produce the same sequence of points and they all lead to the minimal point in the same number of iterations (this number is equal at most to the number of variables). For the nonquadratic functions, the results show that some of the algorithms behave identically and, therefore, any one of them can be considered to be representative of the entire class. The effect of different restarting conditions on the convergence characteristics of the algorithms is studied. We analyze the dynamical Coulomb blockade of multiple Andreev reflections (MAR) in a superconducting quantum point contact coupled to a macroscopic impedance. We find that at very low transmission the blockade scales as n2 with n = Int(2delta/eV), where V is the bias voltage and delta is the superconducting gap, as it would correspond to the occurrence of shots of charge ne. For higher transmission the blockade is reduced because of both the Pauli principle and the elastic renormalization of the MAR probability, and for certain voltage regions it may even become an anti-blockade; i.e., the current is enhanced due to the coupling with the electromagnetic environment. 相似文献

In this Letter we construct a spinor transport theory and derive the equations of motion for the distribution functions for currents in noncollinear magnetic multilayers. We find the length scale which characterizes the transverse spin current is of the order of 3 nm for a ferromagnetic 3d transition metal such as Co; this alters one's prediction of the spin torque generated for free magnetic layers less than 3 nm. In the limit of large exchange splitting we reproduce the results previously found for spin currents across noncollinear multilayers inasmuch as there are no transverse spin currents in the layers themselves in this limit. 相似文献

Self-immolative dendrimers have recently been developed and introduced as a potential platform for a multi-prodrug. These unique structural dendrimers can release all of their tail units, through a self-immolative chain fragmentation, which is initiated by a single cleavage at the dendrimer's core. Incorporation of drug molecules as the tail units and an enzyme substrate as the trigger can generate a multi-prodrug unit that will be activated with a single enzymatic cleavage. We have synthesized the first generation of dendritic prodrugs with doxorubicin and camptothecin as tail units and a retro-aldol retro-Michael focal trigger, which can be cleaved by catalytic antibody 38C2. The bioactivation of the dendritic prodrugs was evaluated in cell-growth inhibition assay with the Molt-3 leukemia cell line in the presence and the absence of antibody 38C2. The dendritic unit was applied as a platform for a heterodimeric prodrug, which achieved a remarkable increase in toxicity with its bioactivation. 相似文献

A diverse collection of tetracycline derivatives has been synthesized utilizing Heck, Suzuki, and other palladium-coupling reactions via tetracycline arenediazonium and iodoarene salts. Large numbers of tetracyclines are now possible via these reactions, including numerous upper periphery derivatives of doxycycline, minocycline, sancycline, and methacycline modified at positions C7, C9, and C6-C13 on the tetracycline naphthacene ring. Application of palladium-coupling reactions to the tetracyclines has yielded new tetracycline classes with differing structural attributes, greatly increasing the structural diversity of this family of antibiotics, one of the last of the early antibiotic families to be expanded by organic and medicinal chemistry. 相似文献

A design for a novel diffractive optical element (DOE) that can reconstruct three different intensity patterns when it is illuminated by three different wavelengths is presented. If the chosen wavelengths are red, green, and blue, full-color reconstruction capability is obtained. Reconstruction is achieved in the near field (Fresnel domain).
