Summary In this paper we give a method to solve Saint-Venant's problem for inhomogeneous and anisotropic elastic cylinders when the elastic coefficients are independent of the axial coordinate. The cross-section of the cylinder is assumed to be occupied by different inhomogeneous and anisotropic elastic materials. This paper presents the numerical investigation of the microtube heat sink with impingement jet feeding. The inlet channel covers only the quarter of the tube perimeter so the swirl flow is settled in the tubes and the heat transfer between the liquid flow and silicon substrate is improved. The water with the variable physical properties is used as the working fluid and laminar flow regime is considered. The proposed microtube heat sink with impingement jet feeding is compared with classic microtube heat sink in terms of temperature variation along the heated surface and temperature difference. The influence of the temperature dependent physical properties on the fluid flow and heat transfer is analyzed.  相似文献

This paper investigates the experimental dynamics of a beam structure that supports an attached rigid body and that can impact a comparatively compliant base structure. The problem area is motivated by impact phenomena that are observed in certain structures internal to nuclear reactors. The assembly is subjected to base excitation at specified frequency and acceleration, and the resulting displacement and velocity time histories are recorded and used to obtain spectra, phase diagrams, and Poincaré sections. The measurements validate simulation results obtained by using a constraint and modal mapping method based on the two sets of modes when the structure is in-contact, and when it is not-in-contact. Generalized coordinates are mapped across the impact discontinuities in the modal representation. The forced response simulation predicts the test specimen’s response over a range of excitation frequencies. The specimens are fabricated as single integral structures from acrylnitrile butadene styrene plastic through rapid prototyping technology in order to eliminate the undesirable dissipation and flexibility arising from joints and connections. The experimental system can exhibit complex response characteristics, and the influences on complexity of deadband clearance and of asymmetry in the point of impact are examined in the experiments.  相似文献

Oxidative folding is a composite process that consists of both the conformational folding to the native three-dimensional structure and the regeneration of the native disulfide bonds of a protein, frequently involving over 100 disulfide intermediate species. Understanding the oxidative folding pathways of a multiple-disulfide-containing protein is a very difficult task that often requires years of devoted research due to the high complexity of the process and the very similar features of the large number of intermediates. Here we developed a method for rapidly delineating the major features of the oxidative folding pathways of a protein. The method examines the temperature dependence of the oxidative folding rate of the protein in combination with reduction pulses. Reduction pulses expose the presence of structured intermediates along the pathways. The correlation between the regeneration rate at different temperatures and the stability of the structured intermediates reveals the role that the intermediates play in determining the pathway. The method was first tested with bovine pancreatic ribonuclease A whose folding pathways were defined earlier. Then, it was explored to discern some of the major features of the folding pathways of its homologue, frog Onconase. The results suggest that the stability of the three-dimensional structure of the native protein is a major determinant of the folding rate in oxidative folding.  相似文献

Summary A colorimetric method for the miorodetermination ofp-aminophenol based on indophenol dye formation is described. The conditions for its determination in the presence of theo- andm-isomers are given.
Zusammenfassung Eine kolorimetrische Methode für die Mikrobestimmung von p-Aminophenol, die auf der Bildung eines Indophenolfarbstoffs beruht, wurde beschrieben. Die Bedingungen für die Bestimmung in Anwesenheit der Ortho- und Meta-Isomeren wurden angegeben.

In this paper, we study a class of quasi-invariant measures on paths generated by discrete dynamical systems. Our main result characterizes the subfamily of these measures which admit a certain disintegration. This is a disintegration with respect to a random walk Markov process which is indexed by the starting point of the paths. Our applications include wavelet constructions on Julia sets of rational maps on the Riemann sphere.
