Nowadays, the use of biostimulants to reduce agrochemical input is a major trend in agriculture. In this work, we report on calcium phosphate particles (CaP) recovered from the circular economy, combined with natural humic substances (HSs), to produce a plant biostimulant. CaPs were obtained by the thermal treatment of Salmo salar bones and were subsequently functionalized with HSs by soaking in a HS water solution. The obtained materials were characterized, showing that the functionalization with HS did not sort any effect on the bulk physicochemical properties of CaP, with the exception of the surface charge that was found to get more negative. Finally, the effect of the materials on nutrient uptake and translocation in the early stages of development (up to 20 days) of two model species of interest for horticulture, Valerianella locusta and Diplotaxis tenuifolia, was assessed. Both species exhibited a similar tendency to accumulate Ca and P in hypogeal tissues, but showed different reactions to the treatments in terms of translocation to the leaves. CaP and CaP–HS treatments lead to an increase of P accumulation in the leaves of D. tenuifolia, while the treatment with HS was found to increase only the concentration of Ca in V. locusta leaves. A low biostimulating effect on both plants’ growth was observed, and was mainly scribed to the low concentration of HS in the tested materials. In the end, the obtained material showed promising results in virtue of its potential to elicit phosphorous uptake and foliar translocation by plants.  相似文献

Making use of polypropylene samples that are selectively labeled with carbon-13 at each of the three unique positions within the repeating unit, we are conducting mass spectral analyses of the volatile organic oxidation products that are produced when the polymer is subjected to elevated temperature in the presence of air. By examination of both the parent and fragmentation ion peaks in the mass spectrum, we are able to identify the positioning of the C-13 labels within the volatile compounds, and thereby map each compound onto its site of origin from within the macromolecular structure of polypropylene. Most of the organic oxidation products are remarkably specific in terms of their genesis from the polymer. The structural results are discussed in terms of the oxidation chemistry of the macromolecule.  相似文献

Optimization of lead hydride generation has been performed and a regression model of the efficiency (chemical yield, E %) of plumbane generation has been derived from experimental data. The effect of various chemical and instrumental parameters on hydride generation and trapping in an absorbing solution of Ce(IV)-KI, with subsequent determination of lead by graphite-furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GF-AAS) has been studied, in an effort to optimize conditions for preconcentration and determination of nanogram amount of lead. Characteristic concentrations are 1 μg/1 in absorbing solution and 0.2 μg/1 in a 50-ml aliquot of sample solution and the corresponding limits of detection are ca. 4 and 1 μg/1, respectively.  相似文献

In this research work, we propose to assess the dynamic correlation between different mobility indices, measured on a daily basis, and the new cases of COVID-19 in the different Portuguese districts. The analysis is based on global correlation measures, which capture linear and non-linear relationships in time series, in a robust and dynamic way, in a period without significant changes of non-pharmacological measures. The results show that mobility in retail and recreation, grocery and pharmacy, and public transport shows a higher correlation with new COVID-19 cases than mobility in parks, workplaces or residences. It should also be noted that this relationship is lower in districts with lower population density, which leads to the need for differentiated confinement policies in order to minimize the impacts of a terrible economic and social crisis.  相似文献

Hydrodynamic characteristics of fluidization in a conical or tapered bed differ from those in a columnar bed because the superficial velocity in the bed varies in the axial direction. Fixed and fluidized regions could coexist and sharp variations in pressure drop could occur, thereby giving rise to a noticeable pressure drop-flow rate hysteresis loop under incipient fluidization conditions. To explore these unique properties, several experiments were carried out using homogeneous, well-mixed, ternary mixtures with three dif- ferent particle sizes at varying composition in gas-solid conical fluidized beds with varying cone angles. The hydrodynamic characteristics determined include the minimum fluidization velocity, bed fluctuation, and bed expansion ratios. The dependence of these quantities on average particle diameter, mass fraction of the fines in the mixture, initial static bed height, and cone angle is discussed. Based on dimensional analysis and factorial design, correlations are developed using the system parameters, i.e. geometry of the bed (cone angle), particle diameter, initial static bed height, density of the solid, and superficial velocity of the fluidizing medium. Experimental values of minimum fluidization velocity, bed fluctuation, and bed expansion ratios were found to agree well with the developed correlations.  相似文献

Yeasts are widely used in several areas of food industry, e.g. baking, beer brewing, and wine production. Interest in new analytical methods for quality control and characterization of yeast cells is thus increasing. The biophysical properties of yeast cells, among which cell size, are related to yeast cell capabilities to produce primary and secondary metabolites during the fermentation process. Biophysical properties of winemaking yeast strains can be screened by field-flow fractionation (FFF). In this work we present the use of flow FFF (FlFFF) with turbidimetric multi-wavelength detection for the number-size distribution analysis of different commercial winemaking yeast varieties. The use of a diode-array detector allows to apply to dispersed samples like yeast cells the recently developed method for number-size (or mass-size) analysis in flow-assisted separation techniques. Results for six commercial winemaking yeast strains are compared with data obtained by a standard method for cell sizing (Coulter counter). The method here proposed gives, at short analysis time, accurate information on the number of cells of a given size, and information on the total number of cells.  相似文献

The present work reports analytical results relevant to voltammetric determination of Pt(II), Pd(II), Rh(III) [Platinum Group Metals (PGMs)] and Pb(II) in superficial water sampled in sites differently influenced by vehicle traffic, especially considering their temporal behaviour. For all the elements, in addition to detection limits, precision, expressed as relative standard deviation (s(r) %) and accuracy, expressed as percentage recovery (R %) are also reported. In all cases they show to be good, being the former lower than 6% and the latter in the range 94-105%. A critical comparison with spectroscopic measurements is also discussed.  相似文献

Tomato sauce is a world famous food product. Despite standards regulating the production of tomato derivatives, the market suffers frpm fraud such as product adulteration, origin mislabelling and counterfeiting. Methods suitable to discriminate the geographical origin of food samples and identify counterfeits are required. Chemometric approaches offer valuable information: data on tomato sauce is usually obtained through chromatography (HPLC and GC) coupled to mass spectrometry, which requires chemical pretreatment and the use of organic solvents. In this paper, a faster, cheaper, and greener analytical procedure has been developed for the analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and the colloidal fraction via multivariate statistical analysis. Tomato sauce VOCs were analysed by GC coupled to flame ionisation (GC-FID) and to ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS). Instead of using HPLC, the colloidal fraction was analysed by asymmetric flow field-fractionation (AF4), which was applied to this kind of sample for the first time. The GC and AF4 data showed promising perspectives in food-quality control: the AF4 method yielded comparable or better results than GC-IMS and offered complementary information. The ability to work in saline conditions with easy pretreatment and no chemical waste is a significant advantage compared to environmentally heavy techniques. The method presented here should therefore be taken into consideration when designing chemometric approaches which encompass a large number of samples.  相似文献
