Homotopy analysis Sumudu transform method for time—fractional third order dispersive partial differential equation

In this article, we apply the newly introduced numerical method which is a combination of Sumudu transforms and Homotopy analysis method for the solution of time fractional third order dispersive type PDE equations. It is also discussed generalized algorithm, absolute convergence and analytic result of the finite number of independent variables including time variable.     

Strange particle production in the hadrochemical model

Strange particle production in heavy ion collisions is calculated in the framework of a hadrochemical model. It is compared with the results of cascade and fireball model calculations and experimental data. The importance of πN and πΔ collisions in producing kaons and hyperons is pointed out.     

The thermooxidative stability of an isobutylene-isoprene elastomer

It has been proved that the basic oxidative stability of butyl elastomer can be evaluated of isothermal calorimetry. Similarly, the effects of ozone and of thermooxidation can be followed by this method. The isothermal curves for the photooxidation of the elastomer gave a complex pattern, so here it seems necessary to use other methods (IR, UC, GPC dissolving/swelling, DTA, etc.) to determine the remaining stability.

Zusammenfassung Es wurde erwiesen, da\ die grundlegende oxidative StabilitÄt von Butylelastomeren mittels isothermer Kalorimetrie ermittelt werden kann. Analog können mit diesem Verfahren der Einflu\ von Ozon und Thermooxidation untersucht werden. Isotherme Kurven für die Photooxidation der Elastomere liefern ein kompliziertes Bild, hier scheint die Anwendung anderer Methoden (IR, UC, GPC, Löslichkeit, Quellvermögen, DTA usw.) erforderlich zu sein, um die verbleibende StabilitÄt zu bestimmen.

     

Protein recognition using synthetic surface-targeted agents

The design of synthetic agents to disrupt protein-protein interactions has received relatively little attention in recent years. In this review we describe strategies for targeting different types of protein surfaces using mimetics of protein secondary or tertiary structure. In this way strong and selective binding to a protein surface has be achieved and disruption of clinically important protein-protein interactions has been demonstrated in models of human disease.     

Induced fit process in the selective distal binding of imidazoles in zinc(II) porphyrin receptors

The respective affinities of various imidazole derivatives, imidazole (ImH), 2-methylimidazole (2-MeImH), 2-phenylimidazole (2-PhImH), N-methylimidazole (N-MeIm), 2-methylbenzimidazole (2-MeBzImH), and 4,5-dimethylbenzimidazole (4,5-Me(2)BzImH), for two phenanthroline (Phen) strapped zinc(II) porphyrin receptors porphen-Zn 1-Zn and 2-Zn have been studied. The formation of a supplementary H-bond considerably enhances the affinity of the zinc(II)-porphen receptor for imidazoles unsubstituted on the pyrrolic nitrogen (ImH) versus N-substituted imidazoles such as N-MeIm. The ImHs subset porphen-Zn complexes are formed with association constants up to 4 orders of magnitude superior to those measured either for N-MeIm as substrate or TPP-Zn as receptor. Distal or proximal binding of the substrates was determined by (1)H NMR measurements and titration. In two cases, the very high stability of the inclusion complex enabled the use of 2D NMR techniques. Excellent correlation between solution and solid-state structures has been obtained. A total of six X-ray structures are detailed in this article showing that the evolution of the shape of the zinc(II) receptor is mostly dependent on the steric constraints induced by the substitution on the imidazole. Hindered guests also progressively induce considerable mobility restrictions and severe distortions on the receptor, especially in the case of 2-MeBzImH and 2-PhImH.     

Directed denaturation: room temperature and stoichiometric unfolding of cytochrome C by a metalloporphyrin dimer

Using circular dichroism, UV-vis, and trypsin proteolysis, we have shown how a metalloporphyrin dimer induces the unfolding of a protein, cytochrome c, under physiologically relevant conditions and accelerates its rate of proteolytic degradation.     

Viscous potential flow analysis of Kelvin-Helmholtz instability with mass transfer and vaporization

Viscous potential flow analysis of Kelvin-Helmholtz instability with heat and mass transfer has been studied. A dispersion relation has been obtained. Stability criterion is given by a critical value of relative velocity. It has been found that heat and mass transfer has destabilizing effect on relative velocity when lower fluid viscosity is low while it has stabilizing effect when lower fluid viscosity is high. Various graphs have been plotted for relative velocity and growth rate. In statically unstable situation viscosity has stabilizing effect while in statically stable situation it has destabilizing effect.     

PSPACE complexity of modal logic <Emphasis Type="Italic">K D</Emphasis>45<Subscript>n</Subscript>

We study sequent calculus for multi-modal logic K D45_n and its complexity. We introduce a loop-check free sequent calculus. Loop-check is eliminated by using the marked modal operator □_i^•, which is used as an alternative to sequents with histories ([8], [3], [5]). All inference rules are invertible or semi-invertible. To get this, we use or branches beside common and branches. We prove the equivalence between known sequent calculus and our newly introduced efficient sequent calculus. We concentrate on the complexity analysis of the introduced sequent calculus for multi-modal logic K D45_n. We prove that the space complexity of the given calculus is polynomial (O(l ³)). We show the maximum height of the constructed derivation tree that leads to the reduction of the time and space complexity. We present a decision algorithm for multi-modal logic K D45_n and some nontrivial examples to improve the introduced loop-check free sequent calculus.
