The cross section of the quasi-elastic reactions \(\bar v_\mu p \to \mu ^ + \Lambda (\Sigma ^0 )\) in the energy range 5–100 GeV is determined from Fermilab 15′ bubble chamber antineutrino data. TheQ 2 analysis of quasi-elastic Λ events yieldsM A=1.0±0.3 GeV/c2 for the axial mass value. With zero µΛ K 0 events observed, the 90% confidence level upper limit \(\sigma (\bar v_\mu p \to \mu ^ + \Lambda {\rm K}^0 )< 2.0 \cdot 10^{ - 40} cm^2 \) is obtained. At the same time, we found that the cross section of reaction \(\bar v_\mu p \to \mu ^ + \Lambda {\rm K}^0 + m\pi ^0 \) is equal to \(\left( {3.9\begin{array}{*{20}c} { + 1.6} \\ { - 1.3} \\ \end{array} } \right) \cdot 10^{ - 40} cm^2 \) . 相似文献

A simple approach is proposed to describe the experimental data for the widths of the fission-fragment mass yields in~(197)Au and~(209)Bi at low and intermediate energies.The approach is based on the expressions for the temperature dependence of the width of the fission-fragment mass yield and the mass of the most probable fragment.The expression for the width of the fission-fragment mass yield depends on the mass of the most probable fragment,the surface terms of the energy level density parameter,the temperature and the stiffness parameter of the potential related to mass-asymmetric degree of freedom.It is shown that the contribution of the surface term of the energy level density parameter is important for describing the experimental data in a wide range of energies. 相似文献

Results of investigation of 1550 nm range stripe semiconductor lasers fabricated from heterostructures with different designs of the gain medium are presented. It is shown that the proposed designs of the gain medium allow obtaining the effective lasing at high level of total optical losses, comparable with the typical optical losses in the vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers. We consider an M/G/1 queue with symmetric service discipline. The class of symmetric service disciplines contains, in particular, the preemptive
last-come-first-served discipline and the processor-sharing discipline. It has been conjectured in Kella et al. [1] that the
marginal distribution of the queue length at any time is identical for all symmetric disciplines if the queue starts empty.
In this paper we show that this conjecture is true if service requirements have an Erlang distribution. We also show by a
counterexample, involving the hyperexponential distribution, that the conjecture is generally not true.
