To circumvent costly fluorescent labeling, five nonconventional, multifunctional, intrinsically fluorescent aliphatic terpolymers ( 1 – 5 ) have been synthesized by C−C/C−N-coupled, solution polymerization of two non-emissive monomers with protrusions of fluorophore monomers generated in situ. These scalable terpolymers were suitable for sensing and high-performance exclusion of CuII, logic function, and bioimaging. The structures of the terpolymers, in situ attachment of fluorescent monomers, aggregation-induced enhanced emission, bioimaging ability, and super adsorption were investigated by 1H and 13C NMR, EPR, FTIR, X-ray photoelectron, UV/Vis, and atomic absorption spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering, solid-state fluorescence, fluorescence imaging, and fluorescence lifetime measurements, as well as by isotherm, kinetics, and thermodynamic studies. The geometries and electronic structures of the fluorophores and the absorption and emission properties of the terpolymers were examined by DFT, time-dependent DFT, and natural transition orbital analyses. For 1 , 2 , and 5 , the limits of detection were determined to be 1.03×10−7, 1.65×10−7, and 1.77×10−7 m , respectively, and the maximum adsorption capacities are 1575.21, 1433.70, and 1472.21 mg g−1, respectively. 相似文献

AbstractThe chemical characterisation of Pimenta dioica essential oil (PDEO) revealed the presence of 50 components, amongst which α-Terpineol (30.31%) was the major component followed by β-Linalool (6.75%) and γ-Terpinene (4.64%). The oil completely inhibited the growth of aflatoxin B1 secreting strain Aspergillus flavus LHP-VS-8 and aflatoxin B1 production at 2.5?µL/mL and 1.5?µL/mL, respectively. The oil caused dose dependent reduction of methylglyoxal (an AFB1 inducer), enhanced leakage of Ca2+, Mg2+ and K+ ions and significantly reduced ergosterol content of fungal plasma membrane. During in situ experiments, PDEO exhibited complete protection of fumigated maize cob slices from fungal infestation without affecting seed germination. The chemically characterised PDEO is recommended as a plant based preservative and shelf life enhancer of food commodities by preventing fungal growth, AFB1 production and lipid peroxidation. Bandgap engineering in donor–acceptor conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs) is a potential way to increase the solar-energy harvesting towards photochemical water splitting. Here, the design and synthesis of a series of donor–acceptor CMPs [tetraphenylethylene (TPE) and 9-fluorenone (F) as the donor and the acceptor, respectively], F0.1CMP , F0.5CMP , and F2.0CMP , are reported. These CMPs exhibited tunable bandgaps and photocatalytic hydrogen evolution from water. The donor–acceptor CMPs exhibited also intramolecular charge-transfer (ICT) absorption in the visible region (λmax=480 nm) and their bandgap was finely tuned from 2.8 to 2.1 eV by increasing the 9-fluorenone content. Interestingly, they also showed emissions in the 540–580 nm range assisted by the energy transfer from the other TPE segments (not involved in charge-transfer interactions), as evidenced from fluorescence lifetime decay analysis. By increasing the 9-fluorenone content the emission color of the polymer was also tuned from green to red. Photocatalytic activities of the donor–acceptor CMPs ( F0.1CMP , F0.5CMP , and F2.0CMP ) are greatly enhanced compared to the 9-fluorenone free polymer ( F0.0CMP ), which is essentially due to improved visible-light absorption and low bandgap of donor–acceptor CMPs. Among all the polymers F0.5CMP with an optimum bandgap (2.3 eV) showed the highest H2 evolution under visible-light irradiation. PbBi2Ta2O9 ceramic samples were fabricated by high-temperature mixed oxide method. X-ray diffraction determines the structure as orthorhombic. The scanning electron microscopy confirms the formation of densely packed grains in the sample. The dielectric measurements, complex impedance and complex modulus study were carried out in a frequency range of 1?kHz–1?MHz and a temperature rangeof 25–500°C. The conduction mechanism of the material is discussed in details using variable range hoping, nearest neighbor hopping relaxation model and dc activation energy at two different temperature regimes. From the J-E characteristics studies, the occurrence of non-linear curves endorses the non-Ohmic nature of the material. 相似文献

One of the significant technical developments in magnetism of the early 1970's was the discovery of a new class of rare earth intermetallic compounds, the RFe2 Laves phases, which were found to exhibit room temperature magnetostrictive strains approaching 2 × 10−3, an order of magnitude larger than any previously known. Since that time both the fundamental and technical properties of these materials have been of intense interest, and they remain the subject of active research even today. The large strains available are useful in such applications as production of high amplitude, low frequency sound waves in water, certain types of strain gages, vibration compensation and compensation for temperature induced strains in large laser mirrors. Because the performance of these materials depends critically on such fundamental properties as the magnetic anisotropy, magnetization and grain orientation of the material, there has been a very strong interplay between fundamental studies and applications. In this article we briefly review the fundamental magnetic and magnetostrictive properties of the RFe2 Laves phases, focusing especially on the complex behavior of the anisotropy and the success of crystal field theory in explaining it. We also present neutron measurements of magnetic excitation spectra and explain how they provide an understanding of the remarkable success of mean field theory for these systems. 相似文献

Considering the Boltzmann response of the plasma ions and electrons and inertial dynamics of the charged dust grains, the
possibility of very weak compressive soliton near the continuum limit of the dust population has been inferred. It is concluded
that the behaviour of such coherent structures could be well described by the numerical analysis of the derived nonlinear
classical energy integral equation for bounded solutions. These seem to be higher order dispersive structures within acoustic
limit of the nonlinear turbulence. It is observed that the dust density enhancement beyond the continuum threshold causes
regular increment in width and amplitude of the soliton structures. It is found that the soliton amplitude sensitively depends
on the massive impurity’s population. These coherent structures could be visualized as weakly charged solitary dust clouds
of finite extension (∼ plasma Debye length) within Boltzmann environment of plasma particles in their local surroundings.
The seeding mechanism of such clouds may be attributed to some plasma instabilities driven by either internal or external
free energy sources. Numerical analysis of the problem concludes that the experimental observations of such clouds could be
possible in low density plasma regime. It is deduced that for plasma density ∼ 106 cm-3 at temperatures of a few electron volts and for micron to l0nm sized dust grains, the observation of such structures could
be possible within wide range variability of the dust population density. 相似文献
