Nd2Sn2O7 pyrochlores with the substitution of Zr4+ were prepared by conventional ceramic double sintering technique. The single-phase formation was confirmed by X-ray diffraction
and neutron diffraction techniques. Relative intensity calculations for X-ray diffraction analysis were performed for oxygen
positional parametersx = 0.331 and 0.375, while Rietveld refinements were employed for neutron diffraction data. The neutron diffraction study revealed
that there are only two anion sites with 48f and 8b positions. This indicates that the 8a site, i.e. O(3) sublattice, is completely
vacant and the structure is a perfect cubic pyrochlore with space group Fd3m (O
h
7
). From the conductivity measurements, it is observed that the electronic conductivity dominates from room temperature up
to about 525 K and forT > 525 K, the oxygen ion conduction dominates the charge transport in these compositions. Complex impedance spectroscopy indicates

We investigate the change in the calculated value of asymptotic normalization constant (ANC) by the hyperspherical harmonics
expansion method with the inclusion of three nucleon force (3BF) in addition to two nucleon force. We see that ANC does not
change very much with the inclusion of 3BF indicating that the 3BF does not alter the asymptotic behaviours of HHE wavefunction

Adsorption of uranium, as UO2
2+, and thorium, as Th4+, has been studied using a modified fly ash bed. Effects of pH and various ions like La3+, Fe3+, Ce4+, SiO3
2- etc., have been examined. Synthetic mixtures of UO2
2+ and Th4+ in different concentrations were passed through the bed and eluted separately with various selective reagents viz. ammonium carbonate, sodium carbonate and acetic acid-sodium hydroxide buffer. Separations of these elements at ppm level are shown to be very effective. The separation of uranium and thorium in the presence of lanthanides in monazite sand has been studied successfully. In the analysis of monazite sand, the oxalate precipitation has been avoided. The method is simple and of very low cost. The modified fly ash bed can also be used to remove uranium from contaminated water. 相似文献

Using the multipoles method, we formulate the problems of radiation (both heave and sway) of water waves by a submerged sphere
in deep as well as in uniform finite depth water with an ice-cover, with the ice-cover being modelled as an elastic plate
of very small thickness. In each case this leads to an infinite system of linear equations which are solved numerically by
standard techniques. The added-mass and damping coefficients for a heaving and swaying sphere are obtained and depicted graphically
against the wave number for various values of the radius of the submerged sphere and flexural rigidity of the ice-cover to
show the effect of the presence of ice-cover on these quantities. When the flexural rigidity is taken to be zero, the numerical

The scaled factorial moments and the multifractal moments have been investigated in differentη-intervals to study the dynamical fluctuation of pions produced in 200 AGeV32S-Ag/Br interaction.
