The syntheses in good yields of some new difunctionalized 1,8-naphthyridines 4, 6, 8 and 9 and a novel triethylene glycol ether-linked dinaphthyridine, 10a, along with the mononaphthyridine-linked ether alcohol 10b are described. Welding stresses and deformations are closely related phenomena. During the heating and cooling cycles thermal strains may occur in the weld and adjacent area. The strains produced during the heating stage of welding are always accompanied by plastic deformation of the metal. The stresses resulting from these strains combine and react to produce internal forces that cause a variety of welding distortions. Welding deformation needs to be minimized and also the designer should know before hand the extent of deformation so that it can be accounted for in the design as well as in the construction stages.In this paper, heat sinking as a method of distortion mitigation has been studied. Heat sinking has been affected by circulating water through channel clamped at the bottom surface of the plates undergoing welding. The pseudolinear equivalent constant rigidity concept has been used in this investigation for thermo-mechanical analysis of plates undergoing welding with simultaneous heat sinking. The initial nonlinear problem with varying modulus dependent on temperature is transformed into a pseudolinear equivalent system of constant rigidity that is solved by linear analysis.The numerical results compared very well with those of the experimental ones. The proposed concept is found to be computationally more efficient and simpler to model compared to FEM for solving similar thermo-elasto-plastic nonlinear problems. The procedure presented in this work and the results thus obtained, holds a great promise for determining the heat sinking parameters for effectively controlling welding distortion. 相似文献

The design of high‐affinity lectin ligands is critical for enhancing the inherently weak binding affinities of monomeric carbohydrates to their binding proteins. Glyco‐gold nanoparticles (glyco‐AuNPs) are promising multivalent glycan displays that can confer significantly improved functional affinity of glyco‐AuNPs to proteins. Here, AuNPs are functionalized with several different carbohydrates to profile lectin affinities. We demonstrate that AuNPs functionalized with mixed thiolated ligands comprising glycan (70 mol %) and an amphiphilic linker (30 mol %) provide long‐term stability in solutions containing high concentrations of salts and proteins, with no evidence of nonspecific protein adsorption. These highly stable glyco‐AuNPs enable the detection of model plant lectins such as Concanavalin A, wheat germ agglutinin, and Ricinus communis Agglutinin 120, at subnanomolar and low picomolar levels through UV/Vis spectrophotometry and dynamic light scattering, respectively. Moreover, we develop in situ glyco‐AuNPs‐based agglutination on an oriented immobilized antibody microarray, which permits highly sensitive lectin sensing with the naked eye. In addition, this microarray is capable of detecting lectins presented individually, in other environmental settings, or in a mixture of samples. These results indicate that glyconanoparticles represent a versatile and highly sensitive method for detecting and probing the binding of glycan to proteins, with significant implications for the construction of a variety of platforms for the development of glyconanoparticle‐based biosensors. 相似文献

The frequency dependent conductivity and dielectric relaxation of alkali ions in some soda-lime-silicate (Na2O-CaO-SiO2) glasses are investigated over a frequency range from 50 Hz to 1 MHz and in a temperature range from room temperature to 603 K by using alternating current impedance spectroscopy. The conductivity isotherms show a transition from frequency independent dc region to dispersive region where the conductivity continuously increases with increasing frequency. The electric modulus representation has been used to provide comparative analysis of the ion transport properties in these glasses. The scaling behavior of imaginary part of electric modulus indicates that all dynamical processes occurring at different frequencies give the same activation energy. 相似文献

Twelve amphiphilic polymers were synthesized using poly(ethylene glycols) (PEGs) of different molecular weights, viz. 1000, 2000 and 4000 as hydrophilic block and linkers namely azelaic acid, sebacic acid, dimethyl isophthalate acid and dimethyl terephthalate as hydrophobic block in the presence of catalyst Conc. H2SO4. Synthesized polymers were characterized by using 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and IR spectroscopy. Micellar sizes of the polymers were determined using Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) which ranged from 51.6–174 nm for aliphatic polymers and 135.5–371 nm for aromatic polymers. Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) results confirm the findings of DLS. Critical Micelle Concentrations (CMC) of the synthesized polymers were determined using electrical conductivity meter which ranged from 95 to 130 mg L?1 for aliphatic polymers and 420–1500 mg L?1 for aromatic polymers. 相似文献

A simple procedure for the synthesis of substituted (E)-2-alkene-4-ynecarboxylic esters has been achieved using hydroxyapatite-supported palladium as efficient catalyst surface. An efficient and general method for the oxidative cleavage of alkenes and alkynes using tert-butyl hydroperoxide and indium(III) chloride as catalyst in water to give the corresponding carboxylic acids or ketones has been achieved. The reaction conditions are compatible with sensitive moieties such as peptide bonds, tert-butyl carboxylic esters and N-Boc-protected tryptophan. The catalyst could be recycled. 相似文献

An efficient cyanation of styrenyl bromides by K(4)[Fe(CN)(6)] has been achieved under the catalysis of hydroxyapatite-supported copper(I) producing a variety of functionalized cinnamonitriles in high yields.
