A number of ruthenium triphenylphosphine complexes catalyse the reduction of ketones to their corresponding alcohols in the presence of water. The most convenient catalyst precursors are carbonyl containing complexes which do not promote decarbonylation of the substrate. The hydrogenation of acetone with hydridochlorocarbonyltris(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium is first order with respect to the substrate concentration, the catalyst concentration, the hydrogen pressure and the water concentration. Turnover numbers up to 15,000 have been achieved with this catalyst. Other ketones are also reduced by RuHCl(CO)(PPh3)3 and the rate of the reaction is dependent on the nature of the substrate.  相似文献

Abstract— The synthesis, absorption and emission properties of erythro (e) and threo (t) Na-acetyl-1-pyrenylalanyl-1-methyltryptophan methylester (APTE) are reported. From the dependency of the exciplex emission maximum on the solvent polarity, the exciplex dipole moment of erythro and threo APTE were calculated. The evolution of the ratio of the quantum yield of exciplex emission and the quantum yield of emission from the locally excited state is correlated with solvent polarity and with the tendency of the solvent to interact with the peptide chain through hydrogen bonding. It is shown that solvents, inert towards the peptide function, shift the equilibrium between the two ground state conformations towards C7, in which an exciplex geometry can be reached. Hydrogen accepting solvents shift the conformational equilibrium towards C5, which cannot form an exciplex directly within the lifetime of excited pyrene.  相似文献

A method for the determination of sulphur in fly ash by instrumental proton activation analysis using the34S/p,n/34mCl reaction was developed. The 2128.5 keV and 3305.0 keV -rays of34mCl /t=32.0 min/ were measured on a Ge/Li/ -spectrometer, shielded with a lead absorber to attenuate low energy -rays. Irradiation and measuring conditions were optimized. The detection limit for instrumental analysis is 0.3 to 1 mg g–1 and the standard deviation is cca. 4% for a typical sample.  相似文献

The measurement of pH in chromatographic mobile phases has been a constant subject of discussion during many years. The pH of the mobile phase is an important parameter that determines the chromatographic retention of many analytes with acid-base properties. In many instances a proper pH measurement is needed to assure the accuracy of retention-pH relationships or the reproducibility of chromatographic procedures. Three different methods are common in pH measurement of mobile phases: measurement of pH in the aqueous buffer before addition of the organic modifier, measurement of pH in the mobile phase prepared by mixing aqueous buffer and organic modifier after pH calibration with standard solutions prepared in the same mobile phase solvent, and measurement of pH in the mobile phase prepared by mixing aqueous buffer and organic modifier after pH calibration with aqueous standard solutions. This review discusses the different pH measurement and calibration procedures in terms of the theoretical and operational definitions of the different pH scales that can be applied to water-organic solvent mixtures. The advantages and disadvantages of each procedure are also presented through chromatographic examples. Finally, practical recommendations to select the most appropriate pH measurement procedure for particular chromatographic problems are given.  相似文献

In an attempt to rationalize a synthesis of penicillin analogs modified at C(3), we have isolated the 3R(β)-carbinolamide derivative 4a. The trityl substituent on N(6′) seems to be responsible for the inversion of configuration which occurs at C(3) during the acid hydrolysis of the isocyanate intermediate. An hydrogen bond is formed on the β-face of the bell-shaped bicyclic skeleton between the N(6′)-nitrogen lone pair and the C(3) hydroxyl group. On standing, the carbinolamide analog slowly isomerizes to its expanded bicyclic isomer 4b , but the starting material may be easily recovered by treatment with acid. The postulated intermediate during isomerization, i.e., the open aldehyde form, does not accumulate. Substitutions of the hydroxyl group at C(3) lead to a variety of compounds with the biologically active 3S(α) configuration. These may be used to study the importance of the carboxyl group of penicillins in their interaction with β-lactamases at the molecular level.  相似文献

The inclusion of dulcin in alpha- and beta-cyclodextrin has been studied by fluorescence spectroscopy. To quantitatively describe complex formation between the beta-cyclodextrin and dulcin, an association constant of 290 M(-1) at 21 degrees was obtained. The thermodynamics associated with the complex formation between dulcin and beta-cyclodextrin in aqueous solution has been studied. The obtained value of DeltaG(0) = -13.7 kJ/mole at 21 degrees , together with DeltaH(0) = -33.6 +/- 2.3 kJ/mole and DeltaS(0) = -67.2 +/-8.3 Jmole(-1) K(-1) indicate that dulcin has a very marked tendency to associate with beta-cyclodextrin in water. The inclusion complex of dulcin in beta-cyclodextrin has been used to determine dulein in the range 0.13-5 mug/ml the method has been applied to determine dulcin in soft drinks.  相似文献

An efficient method for the preparation of crystalline α-hydroxy previtamin D3 is described. Also the stereoselective reduction of 1-keto previtamin 9 is discussed; it was observed that with aluminum hydride 7 is the most abundant product. This stands in contrast with previously reported LiAlH4 and NaBH4 mediated reductions.  相似文献

Direct gas chromatographic methods to analyse phenylurea pesticides are discouraged by the thermal instability of these compounds, that in conventional hot splitless inlet systems leads to extensive and irreproducible formation of isocyanates and amines. However a careful control of the operating conditions, like the inlet temperature, the pressure and the presence of suitable chemical additives (as acetic acid, low-molecular-mass amines, organic anhydrides) can either: (i) minimise the thermal decomposition enabling the direct GC-MS analysis of phenylureas, or (ii) lead to reproducible conversion to isocyanates. Experimental design was employed to study the effect of the experimental variables on the thermal transformation of phenylurea pesticides in splitless inlet system. Two strategies were alternatively optimised: (i) the minimisation of degradation reactions to increase the signal of phenylureas; (ii) the maximisation of the degradation to isocyanates that are in turn determined. The maximal yields in isocyanate were obtained with high inlet temperatures, low carrier flows in the injection phase and the presence of acetic anhydride. By contrast, the use of relatively low inlet temperatures, high carrier flows during the injection and the presence of an amine maximise the response of the parent compounds.  相似文献

High-speed liquid chromatography in the system silica gel/dry n-hexane and ultraviolet spectrometry have been used to study the composition of various types of commercially available mixtures of chlorinated biphenyls. Special attention has been paid to the analysis of highly chlorinated products. In addition to data previously published, retention times are recorded for 11 individual polychlorinated biphenyls. The results of high-speed liquid chromatography are compared with those obtained in several normal and reversed-phase thin-layer chromatographic systems.  相似文献

Using CD data (solution, solid state, various temperatures), X-ray data and MO calculations for a number of substituted mandelic acids (phenylglycolic acids) an attempt was made to explain the different results for the relation between sign of the 1Lb CD band and substitution pattern as described in the literature for various types of aromatic compounds. Moreover the reported sector rule has been reconsidered taking into account the sign and magnitude of the spectroscopic moments. It has been found that in any explanation of the signs of the 1Lb CD bands of substituted aromatic compounds both the conformational behaviour and the spectroscopic moments should be taken into account.  相似文献
