Within the European Union the use of anabolic steroids for promoting growth and improving meat-to-fat ratio in food-producing animals has been banned since 1988. For the unequivocal identification of hormone residues in a complex matrix such as meat we have developed a rapid, specific and sensitive liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) method, in combination with a simple extraction procedure based on the matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD). The performances of a triple quadrupole (QqQ) and a quadrupole/time-of-flight (QqTOF) were compared: the QqQ mass spectrometer was found to be more sensitive for almost all studied analytes, but the selectivity was superior using the QqTOF system; the full-scan spectra (acquired without losing sensitivity), mass accuracy and resolution of the hybrid instrument enabled a more probatory analyte identification than that obtained selecting two multiple-reaction monitoring (MRM) transitions with a QqQ. Average recoveries ranged from 80 to 100%, and the detection capabilities (CCbetas) were less than 1.06 ppb with the QqQ instrument and less than 5.20 ppb with the QqTOF instrument for the bovine meat, which proved to be the most complex matrix.  相似文献

Michler's ketone (MK) and tetracyanoethene (TCNE) may be used as a UV-vis probe to investigate the solvent properties of ionic liquids (ILs). In molecular solvents, MK and TCNE give an electron donor-acceptor (EDA) complex, a zwitterionic species or a radical ion pair, depending on the aprotic or protic nature of the solvent and on its ionizing power. In agreement with the behavior observed in aprotic solvents, only the EDA complex was detected in ILs bearing low donor anions (beta < 0.7). The formation constant determined in [bmim][Tf(2)N] (K(c) = 5.6 (0.5) M(-1)) is similar to that measured in 1,2-dichloroethane at 25 degrees C. The visible absorption maximum (nu(max,CTC)) of the EDA complex is quantitatively described by a multiple correlation using the Kamlet-Taft pi, beta, and alpha parameters of the solvents. The H-bond donating capacity of ILs is not sufficient to determine the transformation of the EDA complex into the zwitterionic species, but the Kamlet-Taft alpha parameter seems to affect the position of the absorption band. The high ionization power of ILs, moreover, favors the slow dissociation of the EDA complex into its corresponding radical ion pair; this behavior generally characterizes highly polar and highly ionizing protic solvents, such as TFE and HFI. Finally, since the formation of the EDA complex is strongly affected by the presence of impurities, traces of nucleophiles (chloride or amines) or water may be easily detected through the change of the solution color.  相似文献

Cytochrome P450 19 (P450 19, aromatase) constitutes a successful target for the treatment of breast cancer. This study analyzes chemical features common to P450 19 inhibitors to develop ligand-based, selective pharmacophore models for this enzyme. The HipHop and HypoRefine algorithms implemented in the Catalyst software package were employed to create both common feature and quantitative models. The common feature model for P450 19 includes two ring aromatic features in its core and two hydrogen bond acceptors at the ends. The models were used as database search queries to identify active compounds from the NCI database.  相似文献

Background

Agomelatine is a melatonergic receptor agonist and a 5HT2C receptor antagonist that has shown antidepressant efficacy. In order to analyze separately the effect of the two receptorial components, rats were chronically treated with agomelatine, melatonin (endogenous melatonergic agonist), or S32006 (5-HT2C antagonist), and then subjected to acute footshock-stress.

Results

Only chronic agomelatine, but not melatonin or S32006, completely prevented the stress-induced increase of glutamate release in the rat prefrontal/frontal cortex.

Conclusions

These results suggest a potential synergy between melatonergic and serotonergic pathways in the action of agomelatine.  相似文献

Traditionally the fluorous phase is generated with perfluorinated alkyl groups that are usually perfluorooctyl or longer and are bioaccummulative and biopersistent and therefore, are considered environmentally unfriendly. Here we report a new concept for the construction of the fluorous phase. This concept is based on the amplification of the fluorous effect with the help of dendritic architectures containing very short semifluorinated groups on their periphery. This new concept was demonstrated by the convergent synthesis of the first and second generation AB3 and AB2 benzyl ether dendrons functionalized on their periphery via catalytic nucleophilic addition of their phenolates to perfluoropropyl vinyl ether. The resulting dendrons are liquids. Their fluorous phase affinity was analyzed and demonstrated that the dendritic architecture amplifies the fluorous phase at a specific generation by the number of functional groups on the dendron periphery, and at different generations by increasing their generation number. Therefore, this concept is very efficient for the design and synthesis of new fluorous materials. In addition, by contrast with dendrons containing perfluoroalkyl groups on their periphery, the current dendrons mediate the disassembly of their parent building blocks but do not mediate the self‐assembly in a supramolecular architecture. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Dynamic mechanical experiments performed on a semicrystalline sample of poly(ethylene terephthalate) evidenced the relaxation processes (α and β) that occur in the polymer. Multifrequency experiments were used both in order to calculate the apparent activation energy of relaxation and to point out how the dynamic conditions alter not only the main relaxations, but the overlapping melting/recrystallization events that succeed after the glass transition. Heating rate seems to affect these phenomena in a way similar to frequency. Also, a consecutive heating step was carried out to support the statements.  相似文献

In this paper we construct certain continuous piecewise rational wavelets on arbitrary spherical triangulations, giving explicit expressions of these wavelets. Our wavelets have small support, a fact which is very important in working with large amounts of data, since the algorithms for decomposition, compression and reconstruction deal with sparse matrices. We also give a quasi-interpolant associated to a given triangulation and study the approximation error. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate the efficiency of our wavelets.
