We present a search for f(J)(2220) production in radiative J/ψ→γf(J)(2220) decays using 460 fb?1 of data collected with the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II e(+)e? collider. The f(J)(2220) is searched for in the decays to K(+)K? and K(S)?K(S)?. No evidence of this resonance is observed, and 90% confidence level upper limits on the product of the branching fractions for J/ψ→γf(J)(2220) and f(J)(2220)→K(+)K?(K(S)?K(S)?) as a function of spin and helicity are set at the level of 10??, below the central values reported by the Mark III experiment.  相似文献

Arylspiroborate salts derived from pyrogallol, gallic acid, and propyl gallate have been prepared and characterized fully, including an X‐ray diffraction study for the tetrabutylammonium gallic acid complex 4 . We present the photophysical properties of complexes of recombinant human serum albumin (rHSA) with Zn(II)-protoporphyrin IX (ZnPP) and their activities in the photosensitized reduction of water to hydrogen (H2) using methyl viologen (MV2+) as an electron relay. The ZnPP is bound in subdomain IB of wild-type rHSA [rHSA(wt] by an axial coordination of Tyr-161 and, in the rHSA(I142H/Y161L) mutant [rHSA(His], by a His-142 coordination. Both the rHSA(wt)-ZnPP and rHSA(His)-ZnPP complexes showed a long-lived photoexcited triplet state with lifetimes (tauT) of 11 and 2.5 ms, respectively. The accommodation of ZnPP into the protein matrix efficiently eliminated the collisional triplet self-quenching process. The addition of a water-soluble electron acceptor, MV2+, resulted in a significant decrease in the triplet lifetime. The transition absorption spectrum revealed the oxidative quenching of rHSA-3ZnPP* by MV2+. The quenching rate constant (kq) and backward electron transfer rate constant (kb) were determined to be 1.4 x 10(7) and 4.7 x 10(8) M(-1) s(-1) for rHSA(wt)-ZnPP. In the presence of the colloidal PVA-Pt as a catalyst and triethanolamine (TEOA) as a sacrificial electron donor, the photosensitized reduction of water to H2 takes place. The efficiency of the photoproduction of H2 was greater than that of the system using the well-known organic chromophore, tetrakis(1-methylpyridinium-4-yl)porphinatozinc(II) (ZnTMPyP4+), under the same conditions.  相似文献

A Performance Tested Method validation study was conducted for a new lateral flow immunoassay (Reveal Listeria 2.0) for detection of Listeria spp. in foods and environmental samples. Results of inclusivity testing showed that the test detects all species of Listeria, with the exception of L. grayi. In exclusivity testing conducted under nonselective growth conditions, all non-listeriae tested produced negative Reveal assay results, except for three strains of Lactobacillus spp. However, these lactobacilli are inhibited by the selective Listeria Enrichment Single Step broth enrichment medium used with the Reveal method. Six foods were tested in parallel by the Reveal method and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration/Bacteriological Analytical Manual (FDA/BAM) reference culture procedure. Considering data from both internal and independent laboratory trials, overall sensitivity of the Reveal method relative to that of the FDA/BAM procedure was 101%. Four foods were tested in parallel by the Reveal method and the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA-FSIS) reference culture procedure. Overall sensitivity of the Reveal method relative to that of the USDA-FSIS procedure was 98.2%. There were no statistically significant differences in the number of positives obtained by the Reveal and reference culture procedures in any food trials. In testing of swab or sponge samples from four types of environmental surfaces, sensitivity of Reveal relative to that of the USDA-FSIS reference culture procedure was 127%. For two surface types, differences in the number of positives obtained by the Reveal and reference methods were statistically significant, with more positives by the Reveal method in both cases. Specificity of the Reveal assay was 100%, as there were no unconfirmed positive results obtained in any phase of the testing. Results of ruggedness experiments showed that the Reveal assay is tolerant of modest deviations in test sample volume and device incubation time.  相似文献

All possible isomers of C60O x have been investigated for x=1, 2, and 3. The method used is a modified extended Hückel method. There is a single C60O isomer, 8 unique C60O2 isomers, and 47 unique C60O3 isomers. It is found that a single C60O2 isomer is much more stable than the remaining 7 and that 3 C60O3 isomers are more stable than the remaining 44. A qualitative reason for these results is proposed. The results indicate that the three lowest-energy C60O3 isomers should exist in equilibrium at room temperature.  相似文献

Thermal analysis studies coupled with chemical studies indicate that glycopyranosides undergo thermal decomposition in two overlapping stages. The initial reaction of the glycosides at temperature between 200 and 300°C is cleavage and volatilization of the glycosidic group as the corresponding alcohol, followed by intra- or inter-molecular condensation of the glycosyl portion of the molecule. At higher temperatures (310–340°C) the major reaction is fragmentation of the carbohydrate into a variety of low molecular-weight compounds. Studies with a series of anomeric methyl and phenyl glycosides indicate that, with the methyl and phenyl glycosides, the rate of the low-temperature condensation reaction was dependent on anomeric configuration of the starting glycoside.  相似文献

The emergence of pathogens in today's world has increased the need for new, portable, nonthermal sterilization technologies. The University of Missouri, Columbia in cooperation with the Institute of Electrophysics, Ekaterinburg, Russia, have built and tested a new accelerator based on solid-state opening switches for the disinfection of pathogens in food. The accelerator utilizes a new solid-state opening switch to generate 40 ns, 2OO-keV electron beam pulses. These pulses were then converted to Bremsstrahlung X-rays using an integral X-ray converter. The efficacy of treating E. coli 0157:H7. In ground beef was tested by irradiating frozen ground beef with the high-dose-rate 107-6 rads/s X-ray pulses. Comparison studies were also done with a Cobalt-60 source located at the Missouri University Research Reactor. The results of the study are presented in this paper  相似文献
