The present work focuses on studying the contribution of the Auger electron emission in proton-induced interactions in biological matter. The Monte Carlo track-structure code, TILDA-V, was then used for modeling the protons beams of 10 keV to 100 MeV in biological matter, namely, water vapor and hydrated DNA. The main ionizing processes are described by means of an extensive set of ab initio differential and total cross sections computed within a quantum-mechanical CDW-EIS approximation. 相似文献
A new way to fabricate monodisperse polymer particles in a microfluidic device without UV‐light and without the need for high temperatures is described in this article. By applying an activator regeneration by electron transfer ‐ atom transfer radical polymerization (ARGET‐ATRP) initiator system in a co‐capillary microfluidic setup and by separating the monomer mixture in an initiator and a catalyst phase, a fast polymerization of the droplets at low temperature without premature curing and thus clogging of the capillaries can be achieved. The influence of the flow rates on the particle sizes and their polydispersity as well as the controlled character of the polymerization are investigated. The particle size is well adjustable, but the reaction is not controlled due to the high radical concentration needed for rapid polymerization. In addition, particles with incorporated UV‐dyes are produced as a proof of concept at low temperature.
The eco-friendly synthesis, spectroscopic (IR, MS, 1H and 13C NMR) study and biological (cytostatic, antiviral) activity of sodium and potassium benzeneazophosphonate complexes, obtained by reaction in the solid state under microwave irradiation of the alkali salts of ethyl [α-(4-benzeneazoanilino)-N-benzyl]phosphonic acid and [α-(4-benzeneazoanilino)-N-4-methoxybenzyl]phosphonic acid with crown ethers containing 18-membered (dibenzo-18-crown-6 and bis(4′-di-tert-butylbenzo)-18-crown-6), 24-membered (dibenzo-24-crown-8) and 30-membered (dibenzo-30-crown-10) macrocyclic rings, have been described. The simple work-up solvent free reaction is an efficient green procedure for the formation of mononuclear crown ether complexes in which the sodium/potassium ion is bound to oxygen atoms of the macrocycle and the phosphonic acid oxygen. The free crown ethers, alkali benzeneazophosphonate salts and their complexes were evaluated for their cytostatic activity in vitro against murine leukemia L1210, murine mammary carcinoma FM3A and human T-lymphocyte CEM and MT-4 cell lines, as well as for their antiviral activity against a wide variety of DNA and RNA viruses. The investigated compounds showed no specific antiviral activity, whereas all the free crown ethers and their complexes demonstrated cytostatic activity, which was especially pronounced in the case of bis(4′-di-tert-butylbenzo)-18-crown-6 and its complexes. 相似文献
The need for efficient statistical models has increased with the flow of new data, which makes distribution theory a particularly interesting and attractive field. Here, we provide a thorough study of the applications of the Lindley distribution and its diverse generalizations. More precisely, we review some special applications in various areas, such as time series analysis, stress strength analysis, acceptance sampling plans and data analysis. We also conduct a comparative study between the Lindley distribution and some of its generalizations by using four real-life data sets. 相似文献
