A unique process of chemical oxidation polymerization of aniline using manganese dioxide (MnO2) as the oxidizing agent in an aqueous medium is described. The reaction between aniline and MnO2 follows a mechanism by which the organic monomer is oxidized while the metal oxide undergoes reductive dissolution. The effects of the amount of oxidizing agent and aniline, pH and temperature of the reactive system, type of acid on the yield and conductivity of polyaniline are discussed. The resulting polyaniline was characterized by [R and UV-Vis spectrometry. Polyaniline with a conductivity of 12.5 S/cm was obtained using 0.033 tool of aniline oxidized by 0.023 tool MnO2 in the presence of 100 mL of 2.7 mol/L HCI at 25℃ for 4 h.  相似文献

Thieno[3,2-b]thienobis(silolothiophene), a new electron rich hexacyclic monomer has been synthesized and incorporated into three novel donor-acceptor low-bandgap polymers. By carefully choosing the acceptor co-monomer, the energy levels of the polymers could be modulated and high power conversion efficiencies of 5.52% were reached in OPV devices.  相似文献

We designed Calcium Rubies, a family of functionalizable BAPTA-based red-fluorescent calcium (Ca(2+)) indicators as new tools for biological Ca(2+) imaging. The specificity of this Ca(2+)-indicator family is its side arm, attached on the ethylene glycol bridge that allows coupling the indicator to various groups while leaving open the possibility of aromatic substitutions on the BAPTA core for tuning the Ca(2+)-binding affinity. Using this possibility we now synthesize and characterize three different CaRubies with affinities between 3 and 22 μM. Their long excitation and emission wavelengths (peaks at 586/604 nm) allow their use in otherwise challenging multicolor experiments, e.g., when combining Ca(2+) uncaging or optogenetic stimulation with Ca(2+) imaging in cells expressing fluorescent proteins. We illustrate this capacity by the detection of Ca(2+) transients evoked by blue light in cultured astrocytes expressing CatCh, a light-sensitive Ca(2+)-translocating channelrhodopsin linked to yellow fluorescent protein. Using time-correlated single-photon counting, we measured fluorescence lifetimes for all CaRubies and demonstrate a 10-fold increase in the average lifetime upon Ca(2+) chelation. Since only the fluorescence quantum yield but not the absorbance of the CaRubies is Ca(2+)-dependent, calibrated two-photon fluorescence excitation measurements of absolute Ca(2+) concentrations are feasible.  相似文献

Atomic force microscopy is shown to be an excellent lithographic technique to directly deposit nanoparticles on graphene by capillary transport without any previous functionalization of neither the nanoparticles nor the graphene surface while preserving its integrity and conductivity properties. Moreover this technique allows for (sub)micrometric control on the positioning thanks to a new three-step protocol that has been designed with this aim. With this methodology the exact target coordinates are registered by scanning the tip over the predetermined area previous to its coating with the ink and deposition. As a proof-of-concept, this strategy has successfully allowed the controlled deposition of few nanoparticles on 1 μm(2) preselected sites of a graphene surface with high accuracy.  相似文献

3‐Bromomethcathinone (3‐BMC) and 3‐Fluoromethcathinone (3‐FMC) are two new designer drugs, which were seized in Israel during 2009 and had also appeared on the illicit drug market in Germany. These two compounds were sold via the Internet as so‐called “bath salts” or “plant feeders.” The aim of the present study was to identify for the first time the 3‐BMC and 3‐FMC Phase I and II metabolites in rat urine and human liver microsomes using GC–MS and LC–high‐resolution MS (HR‐MS) and to test for their detectability by established urine screening approaches using GC–MS or LC–MS. Furthermore, the human cytochrome‐P450 (CYP) isoenzymes responsible for the main metabolic steps were studied to highlight possible risks of consumption due to drug–drug interaction or genetic variations. For the first aim, rat urine samples were extracted after and without enzymatic cleavage of conjugates. The metabolites were separated and identified by GC–MS and by LC–HR‐MS. The main metabolic steps were N‐demethylation, reduction of the keto group to the corresponding alcohol, hydroxylation of the aromatic system and combinations of these steps. The elemental composition of the metabolites identified by GC–MS could be confirmed by LC–HR‐MS. Furthermore, corresponding Phase II metabolites were identified using the LC–HR‐MS approach. For both compounds, detection in rat urine was possible within the authors' systematic toxicological analysis using both GC–MS and LC–MSn after a suspected recreational users dose. Following CYP enzyme kinetic studies, CYP2B6 was the most relevant enzyme for both the N‐demethylation of 3‐BMC and 3‐FMC after in vitro–in vivo extrapolation. In this study, we use an ion funnel (IF) at ambient pressure to enhance the sensitivity of secondary electrospray ionization (SESI). Atenolol, salbutamol and cocaine as test compounds are delivered to the SESI interface in the gas phase and are charged with three nano electrosprays. In our experiments, we show that the compounds can be detected at concentrations in the low pptv range, which is an increase of two orders of magnitude compared with the results without the IF. With a standard SESI interface, the compounds could not be detected at all. With the use of the SESI IF interface for the headspace analysis of bananas and limes, we can detect many more compounds and at higher intensities than with a standard SESI interface. The reactions of Au(OH)3, M2CO3 (M = Li, Na, Rb), and methanesulfonic acid at elevated temperatures in sealed glass ampoules lead to single crystals of M[Au(CH3SO3)4] (M = Li, Na, Rb). In the crystal structures of Li[Au(CH3SO3)4] (tetragonal, I$\bar{4}$ , Z = 2,a = 938.64(2) pm, c = 917.01(3) pm, V = 807.93(4) Å3) and Rb[Au(CH3SO3)4] (tetragonal, P$\bar{4}$ 21c, Z = 2, a = 946.7(1) pm,c = 889.9(1) pm, V = 797.6(2) Å3) the complex aurate anions are linked by the M+ ions in three dimensions. Contrastingly, in the structure of Na[Au(CH3SO3)4] (triclinic, P$\bar{4}$ , Z = 1, a = 540.04(2) pm,b = 863.75(2) pm, c = 973.29(3) pm, α = 72.694(2)°, β = 75.605(2)°, γ = 77.687(2)°, V = 415.05(2) Å3) the complex anions are connected into layers that are further connected by weak hydrogen bonds. The thermal decomposition of Li[Au(CH3SO3)4] was monitored up to 500 °C and leads in a multi‐step process to elemental gold and Li2SO4.  相似文献

This article reports on the synthesis, characterization, and properties of various anthracene‐containing poly (p‐phenylene‐ethynylene)‐alt‐poly(p‐phenylene‐vinylene) (PPE‐PPV) polymers (AnE‐PVs) bearing statistical distributions of various side chains. Primarily, the ratio of linear octyloxy and branched 2‐ethylhexyloxy side chains at the poly(p‐phenylene vinylene) (PPV) parts was varied, leading to the polymers stat, stat1, and stat2. Furthermore, polymers also containing asymmetric substituted PPV and poly(p‐phenylene ethynylene) units (bearing methoxy and 2‐ethylhexyloxy side chains) were prepared yielding stat3, stat4, and stat5. These materials exhibit a broad variation in their photovoltaic properties. It is once more shown that side chains and their distribution can crucially affect the photovoltaic device performance. The introduction of units with asymmetric substitution into these systems seems to be harmful for their utilization in photovoltaic applications. Organic field‐effect transistors were fabricated to investigate hole mobilities in these new materials. Large variance was observed, falling in the range of almost two orders of magnitude, indicating rather different π–π stacking behavior of the polymer backbones owing to side‐chain modifications. Moreover, a selection of the new polymeric systems was investigated regarding their potential for light‐emitting diode (LED) applications. Polymer LEDs using the polymers AnE‐PVstat, ‐stat3, ‐stat4, and ‐stat5, as the active layer showed turn‐on voltage of ~2 V and exhibited red light emission. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A multipurpose reactor setup for catalytic slurry ethylene polymerization is presented. With the developed multi‐stage polymerization (MSP) method the production of polyolefin in‐reactor blends is accessible. Precisely controlled polymerizations are executed at isothermal, isobaric, and isoperibolic steady state conditions in a dynamic power compensated reactor. The described system realizes fast (<10 s) and constant temperature control (±0.1 K), applying electrical heat compensation in combination with mass flow technique. Single‐ and MSP with a highly active ZN‐catalyst are applied to produce uni‐ and bimodal polyethylenes with controlled fractions of molecular weight (UHMW and medium‐MW PE). Polymerization kinetics and molecular weights (IV, GPC) are presented.

We review the progress and future possibilities in the emerging area of molecular spintronics. We first provide an overview of the different transport regimes in which electronic nanodevices can operate, then briefly overview the important characteristics of molecular magnetic materials that can be useful for application in spintronics and we eventually present several schemes to include such systems into spintronic nanodevices. We hightlight the importance of a chemical approach to the area, and in the last section we showcase some approaches to the creation of hybrids made of carbon nanostructures and molecular magnets, which are gaining increasing attention.  相似文献
