This paper gives a critical review on the applications of ToF SIMS in the areas of polymer additive characterization and in the study of polymer blends and interfaces. Polymer additives can readily be identified by ToF SIMS using their parent molecular ions or characteristic fragments. This analytical capability has been successfully applied to monitor the migration or segregation of additives during polymer processing. ToF SIMS is an ideal analytical tool for the study of polymer blends and interfaces because it is able to provide information on both surface composition and morphology. In combination with other analytical techniques such as AFM and XPS, ToF SIMS chemical imaging capability has opened up new horizons in the investigation of complex polymer blend systems. Finally the main advantages and limitations of ToF SIMS in these application areas are also discussed. 相似文献

Over the last 50 years or so Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been subject to intensive basic and clinical research. Although the effectiveness and remarkable safety of TCM have been documented after controlled clinical studies, there are several herbal and animal parts that are toxic or difficult to identify. DNA polymorphism-based assays have recently been developed for the identification of herbal medicines. In this approach, small amounts of DNA are amplified by the polymerase chain reaction and the reactions products are analyzed by gel electrophoresis, sequencing, or hybridization with species-specific probes. With the DNA based identification of TCM materials as an example, chip-based analytical micro devices were developed with the goal of fabricating an integrated device that will enable sample preparation, amplification, and analysis on a single microchip-based device ("lab-on-a-chip"). The application of a silicon-based polymerase chain reaction microreactor and a DNA microarray for the DNA sequence-based identification of toxic medicinal plants is reported here. 相似文献

Summary A phototitrimetric method for the determination of sulfhydryl compounds in an aqueous medium is described.o-Hydroxymercuribenzoic acid is used as a titrant with dithiofluorescein as an indicator. Disulfide amino acids like cystine and-substituted DL-cystines are reduced with sodium borohydride before titration. All amino acids were determined to the limit of 1.0mol with an error of less than 4%. A selective phototitrimetric method for the determination of-mercaptopyruvate in presence of cysteine and glutathione is described. This method can be extended to the microdetermination of other similar sulfhydryl compounds in biological materials.
Zusammenfassung Eine phototitrimetrische Bestimmungsmethode für Sulfhydrylverbindungen in wäßriger Phase wurde beschrieben. Als Maßflüssigkeit diento-Hydroxymercuribenzoesäure, als Indikator Dithiofluorescein. Aminosäuredisulfide wie Cystin und-substituierte DL-Cystine werden vor der Titration mit Natriumborhydrid reduziert. Alle Aminosäuren lassen sich bis zur Größenordnung von 1,0Mol mit einem Fehler von weniger als 4% bestimmen. Eine selektive phototitrimetrische Bestimmung von-Merkaptopyruvat in Gegenwart von Cystein und Glutathion wurde angegeben. Das Verfahren läßt sich auch für andere Sulfhydrylverbindungen in biologischem Material anwenden.相似文献

This article describes the structure determination of five homoleptic d(10) metal-aryl/alkylacetylides [RC triple bond CM] (M=Cu, R=tBu 1, nPr 2, Ph 3; R=Ph, M=Ag 4; Au 5) by using X-ray single-crystal and powder diffraction. Complex 1.C6H6 reveals an unusual Cu20 catenane cluster structure that has various types of tBuC triple bond C-->Cu coordination modes. By using this single-crystal structure as a starting model for subsequent Rietveld refinement of X-ray powder diffraction data, the structure of the powder synthesized from CuI and tBuC triple bond CH was found to have the same structure as 1. Complex 2 has an extended sheet structure consisting of discrete zig-zag Cu4 subunits connected through bridging nPrC triple bond C groups. Complex 3 forms an infinite chain structure with extended Cu-Cu ladders (Cu-Cu=2.49(4)-2.83(2) A). The silver(I) congener 4 is iso-structural to 3 (average Ag-Ag distance 3.11 A), whereas the gold(I) analogue 5 forms a Au...Au honeycomb network with PhC triple bond C pillars (Au-Au=2.98(1)-3.26(1) A). Solid-state properties including photoluminescence, nu(C triple bond C) stretching frequencies and thermal stability of these polymeric systems are discussed in the context of the determined structures. 相似文献

We demonstrate that silicon AFM tips can be modified by etching with 2% HF solution followed by reaction with an alpha,omega-oligo(ethylene glycol)alkene. Tips properly modified by this technique maintain a small tip size and effectively reduce the nonspecific interaction with fibrinogen and bovine serum albumin, resulting in greatly improved image resolution and contrast for high-coverage fibrinogen films. 相似文献

The synthesis and spectroscopic properties of trans-[RuL4(C[triple bond]CAr)2] (L4 = two 1,2-bis(dimethylphosphino)ethane, (dmpe)2; 1,5,9,13-tetramethyl-1,5,9,13-tetraazacyclohexadecane, 16-TMC; 1,12-dimethyl-3,4:9,10-dibenzo-1,12-diaza-5,8-dioxacyclopentadecane, N2O2) are described. Investigations into the effects of varying the [RuL4] core, acetylide ligands, and acetylide chain length for the [(-)C[triple bond]C(C6H4C[triple bond]C)(n-1)Ph] and [(-)C[triple bond]C(C6H4)(n-1)Ph] (n = 1-3) series upon the electronic and electrochemical characteristics of trans-[RuL4(C[triple bond]CAr)2](0/+) are presented. DFT and TD-DFT calculations have been performed on trans-[Ru(L')4(C[triple bond]CAr)2](0/+) (L' = PH3 and NH3) to examine the metal-acetylide pi-interaction and the nature of the associated electronic transition(s). It was observed that (1) the relationship between the transition energy and 1/n for trans-[Ru(dmpe)2{C[triple bond]C(C6H4C[triple bond]C)(n-1)Ph}2] (n = 1-3) is linear, and (2) the sum of the d(pi)(Ru(II)) --> pi*(C[triple bond]CAr) MLCT energy for trans-[Ru(16-TMC or N2O2)(C[triple bond]CAr)2] and the pi(C[triple bond]CAr) --> d(pi)(Ru(III)) LMCT energy for trans-[Ru(16-TMC or N2O2)(C[triple bond]CAr)2]+ corresponds to the intraligand pi pi* absorption energy for trans-[Ru(16-TMC or N2O2)(C[triple bond]CAr)2]. The crystal structure of trans-[Ru(dmpe)2{C[triple bond]C(C6H4C[triple bond]C)2Ph}2] shows that the two edges of the molecule are separated by 41.7 A. The electrochemical and spectroscopic properties of these complexes can be systematically tuned by modifying L4 and Ar to give E(1/2) values for oxidation of trans-[RuL4(C[triple bond]CAr)2] that span over 870 mV and lambda(max) values of trans-[RuL4(C[triple bond]CAr)2] that range from 19,230 to 31,750 cm(-1). The overall experimental findings suggest that the pi-back-bonding interaction in trans-[RuL4(C[triple bond]CAr)2] is weak and the [RuL4] moiety in these molecules may be considered to be playing a "dopant" role in a linear rigid pi-conjugated rod. 相似文献

Ruthenium porphyrins [Ru(F(20)-TPP)(CO)] (F(20)-TPP = 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)porphyrinato dianion) and [Ru(Por*)(CO)] (Por = 5,10,15,20-tetrakis[(1S,4R,5R,8S)-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-octahydro-1,4:5,8-dimethanoanthracen-9-yl]porphyrinato dianion) catalyzed intramolecular amidation of sulfamate esters p-X-C(6)H(4)(CH(2))(2)OSO(2)NH(2) (X = Cl, Me, MeO), XC(6)H(4)(CH(2))(3)OSO(2)NH(2) (X = p-F, p-MeO, m-MeO), and Ar(CH(2))(2)OSO(2)NH(2) (Ar = naphthalen-1-yl, naphthalen-2-yl) with PhI(OAc)(2) to afford the corresponding cyclic sulfamidates in up to 89% yield with up to 100% substrate conversion; up to 88% ee was attained in the asymmetric intramolecular amidation catalyzed by [Ru(Por)(CO)]. Reaction of [Ru(F(20)-TPP)(CO)] with PhI[double bond]NSO(2)OCH(2)CCl(3) (prepared by treating the sulfamate ester Cl(3)CCH(2)OSO(2)NH(2) with PhI(OAc)(2)) afforded a bis(imido)ruthenium(VI) porphyrin, [Ru(VI)(F(20)-TPP)(NSO(2)OCH(2)CCl(3))(2)], in 60% yield. A mechanism involving reactive imido ruthenium porphyrin intermediate was proposed for the ruthenium porphyrin-catalyzed intramolecular amidation of sulfamate esters. Complex [Ru(F(20)-TPP)(CO)] is an active catalyst for intramolecular aziridination of unsaturated sulfonamides with PhI(OAc)(2), producing corresponding bicyclic aziridines in up to 87% yield with up to 100% substrate conversion and high turnover (up to 2014). 相似文献

The synthesis and structural, photophysical, electrochemical, and electroluminescent properties of a class of platinum(II) complexes bearing sigma-alkynyl ancillary ligands, namely [(C/N/N)Pt(C[triple bond]C]nR] [H(C/N/N) = 6-aryl-2,2'-bipyridine; n = 1-4; R = aryl, alkyl, or trimethylsilyl], have been studied. Substituents with different steric and electronic properties were introduced into the tridentate cyclometalating and arylacetylide ligands, and the pi-conjugation length of the oligoynyl moiety was homologously extended from ethynyl to octatetraynyl. The X-ray crystal structures of several derivatives confirm the Pt-(CC) ligation and reveal various intermolecular interactions, such as pi-pi, Pt...Pt, and C-H...F-C. The complexes display good thermal stability and intense phosphorescence in fluid and glassy solutions with high quantum yields and microsecond lifetimes. Their emission energies are sensitive to solvent polarity, the electronic affinities of the substituents on both the cyclometalating and arylacetylide groups, and the length of the oligoynyl ligand. By choosing appropriate cyclometalating and sigma-alkynyl ligands, the emission color of this class of platinum(II) complexes can be tuned from green-yellow to saturated red. In addition to (3)MLCT [Pt(5d) --> pi*(C/N/N)] and (3)IL(C/N/N), intriguing (3)IL(alkynyl) excited states localized on -(C[triple bond]C)(4)- and -(C[triple bond]Cpyrenyl-1) moieties that afford narrow-bandwidth emissions have been observed. Selected Pt(II) complexes were doped into the emissive region of multilayer, vapor-deposited organic light-emitting diodes. The tunable electrophosphorescence energy resembles that recorded in fluid solutions for these emitters, and the devices exhibit high luminance and efficiencies (up to 4.2 cd A(-1)). 相似文献
