An approach valid to any order which unifies the fixed order Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi evolution of fragmentation functions at large x with soft gluon logarithmic resummation at small x is proposed. At lowest order, this approach, implemented with the double logarithmic approximation, reproduces exactly the modified leading logarithm approximation but is more complete due to the degrees of freedom given to the quark sector and the inclusion of the fixed order terms. We find that data from the largest x values to the peak region can be better fitted than with other approaches.  相似文献

A hysteresis loop is observed for the first time in the de Haas-van Alphen (dHvA) effect of beryllium at low temperatures and quantizing magnetic field applied parallel to the hexagonal axis of the single crystal. The irreversible behavior of the magnetization occurs at the paramagnetic part of the dHvA period in conditions of Condon domain formation arising by strong enough dHvA amplitude. The resulting extremely nonlinear response to a very small modulation field offers the possibility to find in a simple way the Condon domain phase diagram. From a harmonic analysis, the shape and size of the hysteresis loop is constructed.  相似文献

We measured the angular dependence of the three recoil-proton polarization components in two-body photodisintegration of the deuteron at a photon energy of 2 GeV. These new data provide a benchmark for calculations based on quantum chromodynamics. Two of the five existing models have made predictions of polarization observables. Both explain the longitudinal polarization transfer satisfactorily. Transverse polarizations are not well described, but suggest isovector dominance.  相似文献

High-energy high-flux synchrotron X-rays have been used to study the spontaneous magnetostriction of R2Fe17 (R=Y, Nd, Gd, Tb, Er) and their carbides in the temperature range 10–1100 K. Addition of interstitial carbon greatly increases both the Curie temperatures (TC) and the spontaneous magnetostrain of the compounds, while reduces the anisotropy of the magnetostrain by expanding the distances between rare-earth and neighboring Fe sites. The increase of TC with carbon is due to the increased spatial separation of the Fe hexagon layers. On the basal plane, the Fe hexagons are squeezed and the contribution of Fe sublattice to spontaneous magnetostriction is attenuated, while that of rare-earth sublattice is enhanced. The average bond magnetostrain around Fe sites are in linear relation with their hyperfine field intensities.  相似文献

We present a miniature fiber-optic electromagnetic field (EMF) sensor that is capable of simultaneously detecting the amplitude and phase of an EMF in the range of 0.1-6 GHz. We focus on magnetic field measurements, since the H-field is more significant in our target applications due its direct relation to the current. The sensor is based on an open optical platform to which various antennas can be attached and contains a radio-frequency amplifier for signal conditioning and a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser as an electro-optic converter. The millimeter size and the full electrical isolation of the sensor allow EMF detection with minimal disturbance. We have characterized the sensor in the near field of a lambda/2 dipole, a rectangular waveguide, and a microstrip line, and we explain the experimental results with a simple theoretical model confirming the mapped near-field distribution of the investigated field source.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Carbon and oxygen isotopes ratios from herbivore teeth have previously been used as paleo-environmental proxies in temperate zones. However, their utility in tropical zones remains uncertain. In this study, sequential sub-samples from white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) teeth (second and third molars) from the Maya archaeological site of La Joyanca, located in northwestern Petén, Guatemala, show that δ18O of enamel carbonate corresponds broadly to modern observed precipitation δ18O over the 10-month period of tooth formation, capturing rainfall seasonality. The analyses also detect significant diachronic differences in the δ18O between the periods 1100–1000 BP (850–950 A.D.) and 1000–900 BP (950–1050 A.D.) at La Joyanca. The δ13C in both periods are indicative of a C3-plant based diet, which suggests cultivation of maize did not differentially affect deer diet during this period.  相似文献

Close to a supercritical Hopf bifurcation, oscillatory media may be described, by the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation. The most important spatiotemporal behaviors associated with this dynamics are reviewed here. It is shown, on a few concrete examples, how real chemical oscillators may be described by this equation, and how its coefficients may be obtained from the experimental data. Furthermore, the effect of natural forcings, induced by the experimental realization of chemical oscillators in batch reactors, may also be studied in the framework of complex Ginzburg-Landau equations and its associated phase dynamics. We show, in particular, how such forcings may locally transform oscillatory media into excitable ones and trigger the formation of complex spatiotemporal patterns.  相似文献

First results on d are reported. The measurements were made using 8 specially designed neutron counters, which were carefully calibratedin situ. The differential cross sections atT =142, 180, 217, and 254 MeV were obtained at four angles between 0° and 90°, they are compared to + d pp data measured at the same energies and angles with the same setup. At every beam energy, the shape of the angular distributions of d nn and + d pp is the same to ±2%. The absolute cross sections differ by 1 to 10%.
