With certain amounts of sodium tert-butoxide and tert-butanol as additives, catalytic amounts of an inexpensive and easy-to-handle copper source Cu(OAc)(2)?H(2)O, a commercially available and air-stable non-racemic dipyridylphosphine ligand, as well as the stoichiometric desirable hydride donor polymethylhydrosiloxane (PMHS), formed a versatile in situ catalyst system for the enantioselective reduction of a broad spectrum of prochiral diaryl and aryl heteroarylketones in air, in high yields and with good to excellent enantioselectivities (up to 96?%). In particular, the practical viability of this process was evinced by its successful applications in the asymmetric synthesis of optically enriched potent antihistaminic drugs orphenadrine and neobenodine.  相似文献

Bovine carbonic anhydrase (BCA) was covalently immobilized onto OAPS (octa(aminophenyl)silsesquioxane)-functionalized Fe(3) O(4) /SiO(2) nanoparticles by using glutaraldehyde as a spacer. The Fe(3) O(4) nanoparticles were coated with SiO(2) , onto which was grafted OAPS, and the product was characterized using SEM, TEM, XRD, IR, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and magnetometer analysis. The enzymatic activities of the free and Fe(3) O(4) /SiO(2) /OAPS-conjugated BCA (Fe?CA) were investigated by hydrolyzing p-nitrophenylacetate (p-NPA), and hydration and sequestration of CO(2) to CaCO(3) . The CO(2) conversion efficiency and reusability of the Fe?CA were studied before and after washing the recovered Fe?CA by applying a magnetic field and quantifying the unreacted Ca(2+) ions by using ion chromatography. After 30?cycles, the Fe?CA displayed strong activity, and the CO(2) capture efficiency was 26-fold higher than that of the free enzyme. Storage stability studies suggested that Fe?CA retained nearly 82?% of its activity after 30?days. Nucleation of the precipitated CaCO(3) was monitored by using polarized light microscopy, which revealed the formation of two phases, calcite and valerite, at pH?10 upon addition of serine. The magnetic nanobiocatalyst was shown to be an excellent reusable catalyst for the sequestration of CO(2.).  相似文献

Colorless 1,3-bis(dicyanomethylidene)indan is an organic acid (pK(a) ≈3.0) that turns blue in polar media owing to self-deprotonation. Click triazole-based oligopeptides 1-3 were found to self-dimerize (K(dim) ≈ 10-680 M(-1)) in a head-to-tail fashion based on (1)H variable concentration, 2D, and H/D exchange NMR, VPO, CD, FT-IR studies and Gaussian 03 simulations. The dimerization constant K(dim) was shown to increase with increasing number of the amino acid units. Within the same oligomeric series, the K(dim) value is strongly affected by the size of the C-terminal end group. The tripeptides 2 are also excellent organogelators of aromatic solvents.  相似文献

ABSTRACT: Coumarin derivatives exhibit a wide range of biological properties including promising antioxidant activity. Furthermore, microwave-assisted organic synthesis has delivered rapid routes to N- and O-containing heterocycles, including coumarins and thiazoles. Combining these features, the use of microwave-assisted processes will provide rapid access to a targeted coumarin library bearing a hydrazino pharmacophore for evaluation of antioxidant properties. RESULTS: Microwave irradiation promoted 3 of the 4 steps in a rapid, convergent synthesis of a small library of hydrazinyl thiazolyl coumarin derivatives, all of which exhibited significant antioxidant activity comparable to that of the natural antioxidant quercetin, as established by DPPH and ABTS radical assays. CONCLUSIONS: Microwave dielectric heating provides a rapid and expedient route to a series of hydrazinyl thiazolyl coumarins to investigate their radical scavenging properties. Given their favourable properties, in comparison with known antioxidants, these coumarin derivatives are promising leads for further development and optimization.  相似文献

Carbon-coated LiFePO4 cathode materials were prepared by a solid-state method incorporating different sizes of polystyrene (PS) spheres as carbon sources. In scanning electron microscope images, small PS spheres appear more effective at preventing aggregation of LiFePO4 particles. From transmission electron microscopy images, it was found that the LiFePO4 particles were completely uniformly coated with 5-nm carbon layer when the carbon source was 0.22 μm PS spheres. When the size of PS sphere was increased to 2.75 μm, a network of carbon was formed and wrapped around the LiFePO4 to create a conductive web. Raman spectroscopy and four-point probe conductivity measurement showed that using larger sizes of PS spheres as carbon sources leads to greater conductivity of LiFePO4/C. The LiFePO4 precursor sintered with 0.22 μm PS spheres delivered an initial discharge capacity of 145 mAh g?1 at a 0.2 C rate, but it only sustained 289 cycles at 80% capacity. When the diameter of PS spheres was increased to 2.75 μm, the discharge capacity of LiFePO4/C decreased, but the cycle life reached 755 cycles, the highest number in this work probably due to the network formation of carbon wrapping around LiFePO4 particles.  相似文献

The canonical transformation (CT) theory has been developed as a multireference electronic structure method to compute high-level dynamic correlation on top of a large active space reference treated with the ab initio density matrix renormalization group method. This article describes a parallelized algorithm and implementation of the CT theory to handle large computational demands of the CT calculation, which has the same scaling as the coupled cluster singles and doubles theory. To stabilize the iterative solution of the CT method, a modification to the CT amplitude equation is introduced with the inclusion of a level shift parameter. The level-shifted condition has been found to effectively remove a type of intruder state that arises in the linear equations of CT and to address the discontinuity problems in the potential energy curves observed in the previous CT studies.  相似文献

Direct three-colour fluorescence cross-correlation spectroscopy can reveal interactions between three fluorescently labelled biomolecules, giving insight toward the complex events that constitute signal transduction pathways. Here we provide the optical and theoretical basis for this technology and demonstrate its ability to detect specific biological associations between nanoparticle-labelled DNA molecules.  相似文献

Background  

ATP-binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1) mediates the lipidation of exchangeable apolipoproteins, the rate-limiting step in the formation of high density lipoproteins (HDL). We previously demonstrated that HDL oxidized ex vivo by peroxidase-generated tyrosyl radical (tyrosylated HDL, tyrHDL) increases the availability of cellular cholesterol for efflux and reduces the development of atherosclerosis when administered to apolipoprotein E-deficient mice as compared to treatment with control HDL.  相似文献
