A new and general method is described for the synthesis, in three steps and in good overall yields, of tetrasubstituted xanthines from an easily prepared imidazole precursor. The method is especially useful for the preparation in standardized conditions of series of xanthines combining a broad variety of primary or secondary alkyl, benzyl or aryl groups at N1 and of alkyl or arylmethyl groups at N3, that are not readily available by other methods. 相似文献

This paper describes a study of the different methods of sample preparation for the determination of calcium in grape juice, wines, and other alcoholic beverages by flame atomic absorption spectrometry; results are also reported for the practical application of these methods to the analysis of commercial samples produced in Spain. The methods tested included dealcoholization, dry mineralization, and wet mineralization with heating by using different acids and/or mixtures of acids. The sensitivity, detection limit, accuracy, precision, and selectiviy of each method were established. Such research is necessary because of the better analytical indexes obtained after acid digestion of the sample, as recommended by the European Union, which advocates the direct method. In addition, although high-temperature mineralization with an HNO3-HCIO4 mixture gave the best analytical results, mineralization with nitric acid at 80 degrees C for 15 min gave the most satisfactory results in all cases, including those for wines with high levels of sugar and beverages with high alcoholic content. The results for table wines subjected to the latter treatment had an accuracy of 98.70-99.90%, a relative standard deviation of 2.46%, a detection limit of 19.0 microg/L, and a determination limit of 31.7 microg/L. The method was found to be sufficiently sensitive and selective. It was applied to the determination of Ca in grape juice, different types of wines, and beverages with high alcoholic content, all of which are produced and widely consumed in Spain. The values obtained for Ca were 90.00 +/- 20.40 mg/L in the grape juices, 82.30 +/- 23.80 mg/L in the white wines, 85.00 +/- 30.25 mg/L in the sweet wines, 84.92 +/- 23.11 mg/L in the red wines, 85.75 +/- 27.65 mg/L in the rosé wines, 9.51 +/- 6.65 mg/L in the brandies, 11.53 +/- 6.55 mg/L in the gin, 7.3 +/- 6.32 mg/L in the pacharán, and 8.41 +/- 4.85 mg/L in the anisettes. Poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) of different molecular weights (Mn = 575 and 700) was used as crosslinking agent for the photopolymerization of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) in order to obtain HEMA/PEGDA-based hydrogels. Composites were synthesized in situ employing a new methodology that implies the addition of different quantities of silver nitrate aqueous solution to the monomer mixture with the finality to obtain hydrogels with different silver nanoparticles’ spatial density and distribution. Samples were characterized by thermal, optical, spectroscopic and structural/morphological methods. Thermal studies showed that the increase of PEGDA molecular weight and the AgNO3 concentration in the reaction mixture enhance the glass transition temperature and the thermal stability of the composites. This behavior could be related to the silver coordination with the polymer network. Infrared spectroscopy with Fourier transform and Raman analyses were realized in order to corroborate the sample chemical structure by the identification of specific functional groups. Surface hydrogel morphology was visualized with scanning electron microscopy analysis, detecting a homogeneous micro-porous surface for the samples obtained from high molecular weight PEGDA. Presence of silver nanoparticles was established by X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy and UV/Vis methods. In this last case, the characteristic silver nanoparticle plasmon was observed. Using Transmission Electron Microscopy it was possible to visualize a homogeneous spatial distribution of spherical silver nanoparticles with very narrow diameter distribution that rounds about 14–21 ± 5 nm. Very simple and selective methods are presented to determine the amino acid tryptophan (Trp) and the biogenic amine tryptamine (Tryp), both compounds with an indole-type molecular structure by the methodology named Heavy Atom Induced-Room Temperature Phosphorescence (HAI-RTP) which constitutes the first time that HAI-RTP has been used to detect compounds with non-naphthalenic structures in their molecules. Different variables affecting the phosphorescence signal (heavy atom perturber and sodium sulfite concentration) were carefully studied. The analytical curves give a linear dynamic range of 15-100 ng ml(-1) and a detection limit of 4 ng ml(-1) for Trp and 94-400 ng ml(-1) and 28 ng ml(-1) for Tryp. The methods have been successfully applied to the analysis of complex food matrices such as the presence of tryptophan in yoghurt and tryptamine in bottled beer. A single alkaline hydrolysis to release Trp from yoghurt proteins and two methods for extracting Tryp from beer samples are proposed and optimised. A total Trp content of 374 mg of Trp per kg of yoghurt was quantified by the standard addition method of calibration and a recovery of 90% was obtained for 250 ng ml(-1) of Tryp in spiked non-alcoholic beer samples. 相似文献
