The dependence of quenching of the π and σ intrinsic luminescence in pure and doped NaCl crystals has been studied as a function of irradiation time near LNT. Three stages in the luminescence quenching have been found. The first stage is very dependent on impurities concentration and is inhibited for high concentration.  相似文献

We report the first results from a search for weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) in the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search experiment at the Soudan Underground Laboratory. Four Ge and two Si detectors were operated for 52.6 live days, providing 19.4 kg d of Ge net exposure after cuts for recoil energies between 10 and 100 keV. A blind analysis was performed using only calibration data to define the energy threshold and selection criteria for nuclear-recoil candidates. Using the standard dark-matter halo and nuclear-physics WIMP model, these data set the world's lowest exclusion limits on the coherent WIMP-nucleon scalar cross section for all WIMP masses above 15 GeV/c2, ruling out a significant range of neutralino supersymmetric models. The minimum of this limit curve at the 90% C.L. is 4 x 10(-43) cm2 at a WIMP mass of 60 GeV/c2.  相似文献

Total solid particles (TSP), respirable particles (RP) PM10 and 17 metallic pollutants were measured in dwellings in the Metropolitan Zone of Mexico Valley (MZMV) by gravimetry and instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA). Monitoring was performed in Northeast, Center, Southeast and Southwest Zones in the winter and spring seasons. In general, the average concentration of contaminants (derived from industrial activities) that we have determined have increased with time. TSP and RP PM10 are often above the US and Mexican norms.  相似文献

[3‐Cyano‐2‐(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)aminopent‐2‐en‐4‐(phenylimine)tris (pentafluorophenyl)borate](η5‐C5H5)ZrCl2, [(B(C6F5)3‐ NC‐nacnac)CpZrCl2], precatalyst ( 2 ) can be treated with low concentrations of methylaluminoxane (MAO) to generate active sites capable of copolymerizing ethylene with 1‐octadecene or norbornene under mild conditions. A series of poly(ethylene‐co‐octadecene) and poly(ethylene‐co‐norbornene) copolymers were prepared, and their properties were characterized by NMR, differential scanning calorimetry, and mechanical analysis. The results show that this system produced poly(ethylene‐co‐octadecene) copolymers with a branching content of about 8 mol %. However, upon increasing the comonomer concentration, a drastic reduction in the Mn of the product is observed concomitant with an increase in comonomer incorporation. This leads to a gradual decrease in Young's modulus and stress at break, indicating an increase in the “softness” of the copolymer. In the case of copolymerizations of ethylene and norbornene, the catalytic system ( 2 /MAO) shows a substantial decrease in reactivity in the presence of norbornene and generates copolymer chains in which 5–10 mol % norbornene is in blocks. We also observe that ethylene norbornene copolymers exhibit a high degree of alternating insertions (close to 50%), as determined by NMR spectroscopy. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. An efficient process to produce boron cluster–graphene oxide nanohybrids that are highly dispersible in water and organic solvents is established for the first time. Dispersions of these nanohybrid materials in water were extraordinarily stable after one month. Characterization of hybrids after grafting of appropriate cobaltabisdicarbollide and closo‐dodecaborate derivatives onto the surface of graphene oxide (GO) was done by FT‐IR, XPS, and UV/Vis. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) clearly shows a higher thermal stability for the modified‐GO nanohybrids compared to the parent GO. Of particular note, elemental mapping by energy‐filtered transmission electron microscopy (EFTEM) reveals that a uniform decoration of the graphene oxide surface with the boron clusters is achieved under the reported conditions. Therefore, the resulting nanohybrid systems show exceptional physico‐chemical and thermal properties, paving the way for an enhanced processability and further expanding the range of application for graphene‐based materials.  相似文献

In the course of our studies on 3 $H$ -1,2-dithiole-3-thione synthesis, a serendipitous reactivity with $\alpha $ -haloketones, in the presence of excess of potassium iodide, has been observed. Instead of the expected reaction of the nucleophile in a remote point of the molecule, we have obtained a product resulted from the electrophile character of the thiocarbonyl moiety on the 3-position of the 1,2-dithiole. In order to obtain an efficient protocol in terms of energy efficiency, this methodology was studied under conventional and microwave heating with similar or better results in the latter conditions. Simplicity and great efficiency in this one-step transformation are some of the advantages of this reaction. Moreover, the results can be explained according to the Pearson’s hard and soft acid base theory.  相似文献
