We have studied the nanofriction of Ne monolayers with a quartz-crystal microbalance technique at temperatures below 6.5 K and in ultrahigh-vacuum conditions. Very homogeneous and smooth lead electrodes have been physically deposited on a quartz blank at 150 K and then annealed at room temperatures. With such a Pb-plated quartz-crystal microbalance, we have observed a pronounced depinning transition separating a low-coverage region, where the film is nearly locked to the oscillating electrode, from a high-coverage region characterized by slippage at the solid-fluid boundary. Such a behavior has been found to be very reproducible. These data are suggestive of a structural depinning of the solid Ne film when it becomes incommensurate with the lead substrate, in agreement with the results of an extensive molecular-dynamics study.  相似文献

In this work, we employ density functional theory to assign vibrational signatures of [FeFe]-hydrogenase intermediates to molecular structures. For this purpose, we perform an exhaustive analysis of structures and harmonic vibrations of a series of CN and CO containing model clusters of the [FeFe]-hydrogenase enzyme active site considering also different charges, counterions, and solvents. The pure density functional BP86 in combination with a triple-ζ polarized basis set produce reliable molecular structures as well as harmonic vibrations. Calculated CN and CO stretching vibrations are analyzed separately. Scaled vibrational frequencies are then applied to assign intermediates in [FeFe]-hydrogenase's reaction cycle. The results nicely complement the previous studies of Darensbourg and Hall, and Zilberman et al. The infrared spectrum of the H(ox) form is in very good agreement with the calculated spectrum of the Fe(I)Fe(II) model complex featuring a free coordination site at the distal Fe atom, as well as, with the calculated spectra of the complexes in which H(2) or H(2)O are coordinated at this site. The spectrum of H(red) measured from Desulfovibrio desulfuricans is compatible with a mixture of a Fe(I)Fe(I) species with all terminal COs, and a Fe(I)Fe(I) species with protonated dtma ligand, while the spectrum of H(red) recently measured from Chlamydomonas reinhardtii is compatible with a mixture of a Fe(I)Fe(I) species with a bridged CO, and a Fe(II)Fe(II) species with a terminal hydride bound to the Fe atom.  相似文献

The regioselective oxidation of N-phenylmorpholine by ozone in dichloromethane or acetonitrile produced a lactam and a diformylderivative. These products derive from the selective attack of ozone at the heterocyclic ring in one of the two non-equivalent reactive carbons. The reaction mechanism has been investigated by DFT calculations, which show that the reaction occurs through the insertion of ozone at the carbon–hydrogen bond of a methylene group of the morpholine ring. The regioselectivity is due to the significantly lower energy barrier calculated for the attack of ozone α to nitrogen than α to oxygen. In addition, the energy barrier decreases with increasing the polarity of the solvent, explaining the higher conversions observed for the reaction carried out in acetonitrile than in dichloromethane.  相似文献

A simple, reproducible, and efficient liquid chromatographic method was developed with UV detection. Water (0.05% TFA):acetonitrile (0.05% TFA) was used as the mobile phase in a gradient system for the determination of procyanidin B2 (PB2) and epicatechin (EC) in the bark of Guazuma ulmifolia Lam. The analysis was performed using a Phenomenex Gemini RP C18 column (5 μm) as stationary phase, at 30 °C, with a flow rate of 0.8 mL min−1, at a wavelength of 210 nm for detection and determination. The main validation parameters of the method were also determined. Calibration curves were found to be linear, with ranges of 20.00–150.00 (PB2) and 10.00–110.00 μg mL−1 (EC). The correlation coefficients of linear regression analysis were between 0.9981 and 0.9988, and the detection limits were between 2.89 and 2.54 μg mL−1. The contents of PB2 and EC were successfully determined, with satisfactory reproducibility and recovery. Recoveries of the PB2 and EC were 103.00 and 104.01%, respectively. The method was successfully applied to the determination of procyanidins in the bark of G. ulmifolia.  相似文献

Palmarosa essential oil (PEO) is an alternative to synthetic fungicides to control the contamination by food-deteriorating fungi, such as Aspergillus nomius. Nonetheless, the low long-term stability and volatility hamper its utilization. Thus, this study aimed to develop nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) containing PEO to improve its stability and consequently prolong the activity against A. nomius. A mixture design was applied to find the best preparation conditions for antifungal activity. The characterization analyses included size measurements, zeta potential (ζ-potential), entrapment efficiency (EE), and antifungal activity (by inhibition of mycelial growth (IMG) and/or in situ test (pre-contaminated Brazil nuts) tests). The nanocarriers presented particle sizes smaller than 300 nm, homogeneous size distribution, ζ-potential of −25.19 to −41.81 mV, and EE between 73.6 and 100%. The formulations F5 and F10 showed the highest IMG value (98.75%). Based on the regression model, three optimized formulations (OFs) were tested for antifungal activity (IMG and in situ test), which showed 100% of inhibition and prevented the deterioration of Brazil nuts by A. nomius. The preliminary stability test showed the maintenance of antifungal activity and physicochemical characteristics for 90 days. These results suggest a promising system as a biofungicide against A. nomius.  相似文献

In order to enhance the power handling capability of the load and to reduce the operation problems that may arise from an excessive reflection from the load, a ray tracing code has been written to model the power distribution on the inner surface and the pattern of the reflected radiation. The outcome of this code has been used to select a more convenient profile for the spreading mirror of the load and to optimize a pre-load specially conceived to minimize the power reflected fraction.  相似文献

We have searched for Theta+(1540) and Xi(--)(1862) pentaquark candidates in proton-induced reactions on C, Ti, and W targets at midrapidity and square root of s = 41.6 GeV. In 2 x 10(8) inelastic events we find no evidence for narrow (sigma approximately 5 MeV) signals in the Theta+ --> pK0(S) and Xi(--) --> Xi- pi- channels; our 95% C.L. upper limits (UL) for the inclusive production cross section times branching fraction B dsigma/dy/(y approximately 0) are (4-16) mub/N for a Theta+ mass between 1521 and 1555 MeV, and 2.5 mub/N for the Xi(--). The UL of the yield ratio of Theta+/Lambda(1520) < (3-12)% is significantly lower than model predictions. Our UL of B Xi(--)/Xi(1530)0 < 4% is at variance with the results that have provided the first evidence for the Xi(--).  相似文献

[FeFe]-hydrogenases harbor a {2Fe3S} assembly bearing two CO and two CN- groups, a mu-CO ligand, and a vacant coordination site trans to the mu-CO group. Recent theoretical results obtained studying the isolated {2Fe3S} subsite indicated that one of the CN- ligands can easily move from the crystallographic position to the coordination site trans to the mu-CO group; such an isomerization would have a major impact on substrates and inhibitors binding regiochemistry and, consequently, on the catalytic mechanism. To shed light on this crucial issue, we have carried out hybrid QM/MM and free energy perturbation calculations on the whole enzyme, which demonstrate that the protein environment plays a crucial role and maintains the CN- group fixed in the position observed in the crystal structure; these results strongly support the hypothesis that the vacant coordination site trans to the mu-CO group has a crucial functional relevance both in the context of CO-mediated inhibition of the enzyme and in dihydrogen oxidation/evolution catalysis.  相似文献

Fe-only hydrogenases are enzymes that catalyze dihydrogen production or oxidation, due to the presence of an unusual Fe(6)S(6) cluster (the so-called H-cluster) in their active site, which is composed of a Fe(2)S(2) subsite, directly involved in catalysis, and a classical Fe(4)S(4) cubane cluster. Here, we present a hybrid quantum mechanical and molecular mechanical (QM/MM) investigation of the Fe-only hydrogenase from Desulfovibrio desulfuricans, in order to unravel key issues regarding the activation of the enzyme from its completely oxidized inactive state (Hoxinact) and the influence of the protein environment on the structural and catalytic properties of the H-cluster. Our results show that the Fe(2)S(2) subcluster in the Fe(II)Fe(II) redox state - which is experimentally observed for the completely oxidized form of the enzyme - binds a water molecule to one of its metal centers. The computed QM/MM energy values for water binding to the diferrous subsite are in fact over 70 kJ mol(-1); however, the affinity toward water decreases by 1 order of magnitude after a one-electron reduction of H(ox)(inact), thus leading to the release of coordinated water from the H-cluster. The investigation of a catalytic cycle of the Fe-only hydrogenase that implies formation of a terminal hydride ion and a di(thiomethyl)amine (DTMA) molecule acting as an acid/base catalyst indicates that all steps have reasonable reaction energies and that the influence of the protein on the thermodynamic profile of H(2) production catalysis is not negligible. QM/MM results show that the interactions between the Fe(2)S(2) subsite and the protein environment could give place to structural rearrangements of the H-cluster functional for catalysis, provided that the bidentate ligand that bridges the iron atoms in the binuclear subsite is actually a DTMA residue.  相似文献
