This paper deals with the problem of synchronization of chaotic dynamical systems. We consider a drive-response type of synchronization via a scalar transmitted signal. Unlike most works we consider the presence of some unknown inputs in the drive system and that no knowledge about their nature is available. A reduced-order observer-based response system is designed to synchronize with the missing states. We show that under some assumptions the synchronization is exponentially achieved. The efficiency of our method is confirmed by numerical simulations of two well-known chaotic systems: Chua’s circuit and Lur’e system. 相似文献

The performances of two Laser Doppler Velocimetry (LDV) systems adapted for measuring the acoustic particle velocities are assessed in enclosed sound field. This assessment is performed by comparing the acoustic velocities measured by means of LDV to reference acoustic velocities estimated from sound pressure measurements. The two LDV systems are based on a single optical bench which delivers an optical signal called Doppler signal. The Doppler signal, which is frequency modulated, is analyzed by means of two signal processing systems, the BSA (Burst Spectrum Analyser from Dantec) on the one hand, and a system specifically developed for the estimation of the acoustic velocity on the other hand. Once the experimental setup has been optimized for minimizing the errors made on the reference velocities, the assessment is performed and shows that both systems can measure the acoustic velocity in enclosed field in two the frequency ranges [0-4 kHz] and [0-2 kHz] respectively for acoustic velocity amplitudes of 10 mm/s and 1 mm/s. 相似文献

Mechanical behaviour of wood considered as an orthotropic solid can be determined with ultrasonic technique. The propagation phenomena in wood are complex and theoretically are regulated by Christoffel's equation. Three type of waves can propagate in wood. During the propagation phenomena three slowness sheets are observed, corresponding to a fast longitudinal wave (inner sheet) and two shear waves, one fast and one slow (outer sheet). These waves are submitted continuously to mode conversion phenomena. The polarization angle changes when the propagation direction is out of the principal directions of symmetry of the material. In this article an analysis of the propagation phenomena in tridimensional representation is performed for different wood species. This approach contributes to the understanding of dynamic aspects of particle displacement associated with the wave fronts propagation. ABSTRACTInspired by a previous ‘Sauna, sweat and science’ study [Zech et al. Isot Environ Health Stud. 2015;51(3):439–447] and out of curiosity and enthusiasm for stable isotope and sauna research we aimed at answering the question ‘do we sweat (isotopically) what we drink’? We, therefore, pulse-labelled five test persons in a sauna experiment with beverages that were 2H-enriched at about +25,600?‰. Sweat samples were collected during six sauna rounds and the hydrogen isotope composition δ2Hsweat was determined using an isotope ratio mass spectrometer. Before pulse labelling, δ2Hsweat – reflecting by approximation body water – ranged from –32 to –22?‰. This is ~35?‰ enriched compared to usual mid-European drinking water and can be explained with hydrogen-bearing food as well as with the respiratory loss of 2H-depleted vapour. The absence of a clearly detectable 2H pulse in sweat after pulse labelling and δ2Hsweat results of ≤+250?‰ due to a fast 2H equilibration with body water are moreover a clearly negative answer to our research question also in a short-term consideration. Given that the recovery of the tracer based on an isotope mass balance calculation is clearly below 100?%, we finally answer the question ‘where did the rest of the tracer go?’ 相似文献

In this paper a sequential stopping rule is developed for the Multistart algorithm. A statistical model for the values of
the observed local maxima of an objective function is introduced in the framework of Bayesian non-parametric statistics. A
suitablea-priori distribution is proposed which is general enough and which leads to computationally manageable expressions for thea-posteriori distribution. Sequential stopping rules of thek-step look-ahead kind are then explicitly derived, and their numerical effectiveness compared. 相似文献

Summary The influence of the alloying on the electronic properties of the b.c.c. Li−Mg solid solution has been investigated within
the KKR-CPA framework. Such an influence has been studied by computing the band structure, Fermi surface, soft X-ray spectra,
residual resistivity and Auger spectra for chosen values of the composition. The theoretical results we obtained are in fair
agreement with the surface existing experimental data and support the view that also in ?simple metals? alloys care has to
be taken in studying such systems in terms of low-order perturbation approaches.
Riassunto Sono state studiate varie proprietà elettroniche delle leghe di Li−Mg nell’intervallo di concentrazione in cui questi sistemi cristallizzano nel reticolo b.c.c. In particolare sono state calcolate la struttura a bande, le superfici di Fermi, la resistività residua, gli spettri X ed Auger e si sono confrontati i risultati con i dati sperimentali esistenti. Il buon accordo fra risultati teorici e dati sperimentali indica che, anche per leghe di metalli semplici, gli approcci perturbativi a basso ordine possono essere insufficienti a descrivere il comportamento di tali sistemi.
Резюме В рамках KKR-CPA исследуется влияние процесса сплавления на электронные свойства объемноцетририованного кубического твердого раствора Li−Mg. Проводятся вычисления зонной структуры, поверхности Ферми, спектров мягкого рентгеновского излучения, остаточного сопротивления и Ож-ye-спектров для выбранных величин состава. Efficient generation of extreme UV (EUV) light at lambda = 13.5 nm from a bulk Sn target has been demonstrated by using a fiber laser. The conversion efficiency from the 1064 nm IR to the EUV was measured to be around 0.9% into 2pi steradians within a 2% bandwidth.
