The vibrational population distribution of X 1Σ(υ′' = 0 through ν′' = 7) BaO formed in the reaction Ba + O2 at 0.3 torr has been measured by laser induced photoluminescence intensities. On the basis of the assumed similarity between the Ba + O2 and Ba + N2O reactions, these data suggest that a population inversion may exist between A 1Σ(ν′ = 1) and X 1Σ(υn = 7) BaO formed in the latter reaction at ≈ 16 torr. 相似文献

Treatment of meso-tetraphenylporphyrin, H2TPP, with just over one equivalent of mercury(II) acetate in methylene chloride-THF gives mercury(II) meso-tetraphenylporphyrin, HgTPP. With excess of mercury(II) acetate, H2TPP and HgTPP afford a novel dimetallic mononuclear porphyrin, AcOHgTPPHgOAc. In contrast, HgTPP reacts with mercury(II) chloride to give the chloro-analogue, ClHgTPPHgCl, but there is no reaction between H2TPP and mercury(II) chloride. Demetallation of HgTPP in methylene chloride containing small amounts of hydrogen chloride proceeds via the dimetallic compound, ClHgTPPHgCl, to give free base HTPP. The reaction rate is dependent upon acid concentration suggesting that the rate determining step is protonation, but dilution causes no decrease in the rate; a mechanism which invokes the intermediacy of monohydrogen-meso-tetraphenylporphyrinatomercury(II) chloride, H(TPP)HgCl, in the formation of ClHgTPPHgCl and in its subsequent decomposition into H2TPP, is proposed.N-Methylporphyrins react with mercury(II) acetate in methylene chloride-tetrahydrofuran to give the corresponding N-methylporphyrinatomercury(II) acetates, Me(P)HgOAc. 相似文献

The transition state (TS) for loss of CH4 from protonated acetaldehyde has been located at the second-order Moller-Plesset (MP2)/6-31G(d,p) level of theory. The activation energy is predicted to be 263.9 kJ/mol starting from the more stable form (methyl and hydrogen E) and 261.6 kJ/mol starting from the less stable form (methyl and hydrogen Z) that is required for reaction. The products (methane and the formyl ion) are predicted to lie 136.6 kJ/mol below the TS for their formation. MP2 methods underestimate the heats of formation of both the TS and the reaction products by about 40 kJ/mol when compared with experiment. Restricted Hartree-Fock (RHF) calculations give much more accurate relative energies. The MP2 TS leads directly to fragmentation and is described as a protonation of the methyl group by the acidic proton on oxygen. Under RHF theory the reaction is stepwise. An RHF TS similar to the MP2 TS leads to a nonclassical intermediate (which is stable at this level of theory) that has one of the C---H bonds protonated. Abstract The optical properties and the thermal diffusivity of natural cuttlefish ( Sepia officinalis ) melanin have been measured. The optical absorption and scattering properties of melanin particles were determined at 580 nm and 633 nm, using photometric and photothermal techniques. For the photometric studies, the absorption and the transport scattering coefficients were determined from the measurements of diffuse reflectance and transmittance. The scattering anisotropy was obtained from an additional measurement of the total attenuation coefficient and independently obtained by goniometry. For photothermal studies, pulsed photothermal radiometry was used to deduce the absorption and transport scattering coefficients via a model based on optical diffusion theory. Pulsed photothermal radiometry was also used to provide the thermal diffusivity of solid melanin pressed pellets. 相似文献

A catalytic enantioselective approach to the Myrioneuron alkaloids (−)-myrifabral A and (−)-myrifabral B is described. The synthesis was enabled by a palladium-catalyzed enantioselective allylic alkylation, that generates the C(10) all-carbon quaternary center. A key N-acyl iminium ion cyclization forged the cyclohexane fused tricyclic core, while vinyl boronate cross metathesis and oxidation afforded the lactol ring of (−)-myrifabral A.
