Performance of graphite platforms coated with Ir, Rh, and a mixture of both, as permanent modifiers for Ag, As, Bi, Cd, and Sb, was evaluated. The coating process is very simple: a solution containing Ir, Rh, or a mixture of both is pipetted on the platform inserted in a graphite tube, and this is submitted to a temperature program. High pyrolysis temperatures are allowed, especially for As and Bi, 1400°C, in the Ir + Rh-coated platform. The sensitivity remains about the same for all analytes with different coatings, except for As in the Ir-coated platform, for which a remarkable gain was obtained in comparison to the other coatings. The lifetimes of the treated tubes were in the range 50 to more than 1000 cycles, being especially long for Sb and Ag in the Rh-coated platform, more than 600 and 1000 cycles, respectively. The Rh coating could not be used for Bi and Cd. Analysis of a certified reference water and of acid oyster tissue digests showed the absence of interference and good precision. Advantages of the permanent coatings are the possibility of low blanks byin situcleaning of the modifier and shorter analysis time.  相似文献

Different chemical modifiers for use with electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ET AAS) were investigated in relation to determining the selenium in human urine samples. The samples were diluted in a solution containing 1% v/v HNO3 and 0.02% m/v cetyltrimethylammonium chloride (CTAC). Studying the modifiers showed that the use of either Ru or Ir as the permanent modifier gave low sensitivity to Se and the peak shape was very noisy, while Zr or Rh gave no peak at all. The same occurred when Zr was used in solution. For mixtures of permanent modifiers, Ir plus Rh or Zr plus Rh gave very low sensitivity, Zr plus Rh with co-injection of Ir in solution was also not efficient, Zr plus Rh in solution gave good sensitivity, but the best results were obtained with a mixture of Zr and Rh as the permanent modifier and co-injection of Rh in solution. Using this last modifier, the following dilutions with the HNO3 and CTAC were studied: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4. The best dilution was 1:1, which promoted good sensitivity and a more defined peak shape and made it possible to correct for the background using a deuterium arc lamp. Under these conditions, a characteristic mass of 26±0.2 pg was obtained for Se in aqueous solution. Six certified urine samples were analyzed using matrix matching calibration and the measured concentrations were in agreement with the certified values, according to a t-test at the 95% confidence level. Recovery tests were carried out and the recoveries were in the range 100–103%, with relative standard deviation better than 9%. The limit of detection (LOD, 3 sd, n=10) was 3.0 μg L−1 in the sample. The treated graphite tube could be used for at least 600 atomization cycles without significant alteration of the analytical signal.  相似文献

Apatite fission track thermochronology (AFTT) was applied to derive the thermal history of formation and inversion of the oil-bearing Triassic–Cretaceous Cuyo Basin, Argentine Precordillera. The obtained central fission track ages range from 13 to 163 Ma, and the mean track lengths from 8.2 to . Based on the integration of AFTT, stratigraphic and structural data, five evolutionary phases are here proposed for the studied area: I—Late Permian cooling related to the extrusion of basement volcanics, and initial extensional regime responsible for the Cuyo Basin formation, II—Triassic–Jurassic heating linked with the filling, and consequent burial, of the Cuyo Basin, III—Jurassic–Paleogene tectonic stabilization, IV—Early Miocene heating related to the load of foreland sedimentation, V—Late Miocene rapid cooling related to the Cuyo Basin inversion. During the Late Miocene, rock units formed in different crustal levels were juxtaposed through thrust, reverse and normal faulting, resulting in contrasting old and very young central fission track ages in closely spaced samples.  相似文献

The main aim of this study was to present evidence of the ways in which different media have conditioned and dramatically reorganized education, in general, and mathematics education, in particular. After an introduction of the theme, we discuss the epistemological perspective that provides the foundation for our analysis: the notion of humans-with-media. Then, we briefly illustrate how the medium is related to the scientific production of mathematical knowledge. We take a detour into the world of art to examine how devices and instruments have historically been associated with the production of mathematical knowledge. Then, we review studies on the history of education to show how traditional media were introduced into schools and have influenced education. In particular, we examine how devices such as blackboards and notebooks, which were novelties a 100 years ago, came to be accepted in schools and the mathematical activities that were promoted with their use. Finally, we discuss how information technology has changed education and how the Internet may have an impact on mathematics education comparable to that of the notebook over a century ago.  相似文献

Mathematics education in Brazil, if we consider what one may call the scientific phase, is about 30 years old. The papers for this special issue focus mainly on this period. During these years, many trends have emerged in mathematics education to address the complex problems facing Brazilian society. However, most Brazilian mathematics educators feel that the separation of research into trends is a theoretical idealization that does not respond to the dynamics of the problems we face. We raise the conjecture that the complexity of Brazilian society, where pockets of wealth coexist with the most shocking poverty, has contributed to the adoption and generation of different strands in mathematics education, crossing the boundaries between trends. At a more micro level, we also raise the conjecture that Brazilian trends in research are interwoven because of the way that Brazilian mathematics educators have experienced the process of globalization over these 30 years. This tapestry of trends is a predominant characteristic of mathematics education in Brazil.  相似文献

Picolinamide (PA) and isonicotinamide (INA), two structural isomers of pyridinecarboxamide, have been investigated by matrix isolation and low-temperature solid-state infrared spectroscopy, combined with UV (lambda > 235 nm) photoexcitation and density functional theory and ab initio (MP2) theoretical studies. In consonance with the theoretical data, both PA and INA were found to exist in a single conformation in cryogenic rare gas matrixes. Comparison between the experimental spectra of the matrix-isolated compounds with those theoretically predicted allowed for full assignment of the experimental spectra. In situ UV (lambda > 235 nm) irradiation of the matrixes showed that only PA reacts, with production of isocyanic acid and pyridine, the first photoproduct further reacting to yield CO + NH and cyanic acid. The different photochemical behavior of the two compounds was explained taking into consideration their different structures. The infrared spectra of (i) the low-temperature glassy state resulting from fast deposition of vapors of the compounds onto a substrate cooled to 10 K, (ii) the crystal resulting from the annealed amorphous film of the compound, and (iii) the room-temperature crystals (alpha-phase) of the studied compounds were also obtained, fully assigned and correlated with intermolecular interactions present in the condensed phases, in particular H-bond interactions, showing that these latter are stronger in INA than in PA.  相似文献

We report the development of a disposable polyester toner centrifugal device for semi-automated, dynamic solid phase DNA extraction (dSPE) from whole blood samples. The integration of a novel adhesive and hydrophobic valving with a simple and low cost microfabrication method allowed for sequential addition of reagents without the need for external equipment for fluid flow control. The spin-dSPE method yielded an average extraction efficiency of ∼45% from 0.6 μL of whole blood. The device performed single sample extractions or accommodate up to four samples for simultaneous DNA extraction, with PCR-readiness DNA confirmed by effective amplification of a β-globin gene. The purity of the DNA was challenged by a multiplex amplification with 16 targeted amplification sites. Successful multiplexed amplification could routinely be obtained using the purified DNA collected post an on-chip extraction, with the results comparable to those obtained with commercial DNA extraction methods. This proof-of-principle work represents a significant step towards a fully-automated low cost DNA extraction device.  相似文献

Research on the influence of multiple representations in mathematics education gained new momentum when personal computers and software started to become available in the mid-1980s. It became much easier for students who were not fond of algebraic representations to work with concepts such as function using graphs or tables. Research on how students use such software showed that they shaped the tools to their own needs, resulting in an intershaping relationship in which tools shape the way students know at the same time the students shape the tools and influence the design of the next generation of tools. This kind of research led to the theoretical perspective presented in this paper: knowledge is constructed by collectives of humans-with-media. In this paper, I will discuss how media have shaped the notions of problem and knowledge, and a parallel will be developed between the way that software has brought new possibilities to mathematics education and the changes that the Internet may bring to mathematics education. This paper is, therefore, a discussion about the future of mathematics education. Potential scenarios for the future of mathematics education, if the Internet becomes accepted in the classroom, will be discussed.  相似文献

Two inline matrix diversion methods were developed for the sensitive analysis of perchlorate in a matrix comprising up to 1000 mg l−1 of chloride, sulfate and bicarbonate ions using suppressed ion chromatography and conductivity detection. The first method used a cryptand C1 concentrator column, which exhibited a high selectivity for perchlorate ion over the other matrix anions. After retaining the sample anions in a concentrator column derivatized with a crytpand phase, a rinse step was implemented with a weak base to divert the matrix ions to waste while selectively retaining perchlorate in the concentrator column for subsequent analysis. The analysis was done using a 2 mm IonPac® AS16 or 2 mm IonPac® AS20 separator column. The second method was a two-dimensional matrix diversion method with a focus on improving the detection sensitivity. The first dimension was used to achieve some resolution of the matrix ions from perchlorate. The perchlorate ion was then diverted into a concentrator column for subsequent analysis in the second dimension. By pursuing analysis using a 4 mm IonPac® AS16 or IonPac® AS20 column in the first dimension and subsequently pursuing analysis using a 2 mm IonPac® AS16 or IonPac® AS20 column format, excellent sensitivities were achieved when the first and second dimensions were operated at the same linear flow velocity (cm min−1). While sensitive detection of perchlorate in the low μg l−1 regime was achieved by the above methods in the presence of matrix ions, superior recovery for perchlorate was demonstrated under a variety of matrix concentrations by the second method.  相似文献

The antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities of the dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and butanolic fractions from the leaves, twigs and stem bark of Scutia buxifolia were evaluated using the broth microdilution method and the brine shrimp lethality method, respectively. Phytochemical analysis was performed by thin layer chromatography (TLC) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The antimicrobial results demonstrated that the strongest effect occurred with the butanol fraction from the twigs and the ethyl acetate fraction from the stem bark against Saccharomyces cerevisiae (minimal inhibitory concentration; MIC?=?62.5?μg?mL(-1)), whereas the ethyl acetate and butanolic fractions from the twigs and stem bark were effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus, with MIC values ranging from 125 to 500?μg?mL(-1). LD(50) values varied from 50.00?±?0.22 to 82.23?±?0.34?μg?mL(-1). Quercetin, quercitrin, isoquercitrin and rutin were identified by HPLC and may be partially responsible for the antimicrobial activities observed. This study reports for the first time the antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities of S. buxifolia leaves, twigs and stem bark.  相似文献
