Evaluation of different solid electrode systems for detection of zinc, lead, cobalt, and nickel in process water from metallurgical nickel industry with use of differential pulse stripping voltammetry has been performed. Zinc was detected by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) on a dental amalgam electrode as intermetallic Ni–Zn compound after dilution in ammonium buffer solution. The intermetallic compound was observed at –375 mV, and a linear response was found in the range 0.2–1.2 mg L–1 (r2=0.98) for 60 s deposition time. Simultaneous detection of nickel and cobalt in the low g L–1 range was successfully performed by use of adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry (AdCSV) of dimethylglyoxime complexes on a silver–bismuth alloy electrode, and a good correlation was found with corresponding AAS results (r2=0.999 for nickel and 0.965 for cobalt). Analyses of lead in the g L–1 range in nickel-plating solution were performed with good sensitivity and stability by DPASV, using a working electrode of silver together with a glassy carbon counter electrode in samples diluted 1:3 with distilled water and acidified with H2SO4 to pH 2. A new commercial automatic at-line system was tested, and the results were found to be in agreement with an older mercury drop system. The stability of the solid electrode systems was found to be from one to several days without any maintenance needed.  相似文献

The hindered diffusion and binding of proteins of different sizes (lysozyme, BSA and IgG) in an agarose gel is described using adsorption kinetic and diffusional data together with an experimentally determined pore size distribution in the gel. The validity of the pore model, including variable diffusion coefficients and porosities is tested against experimental confocal microscopy data. No fitting parameters were used in the present model. The importance of knowing the gel structure is demonstrated especially for large proteins such as IgG. Experimental confocal microscopy data can be explained by the present model.  相似文献

In this paper the influence of charged species on the sheet strength of viscose fibres was investigated. Four samples of chemical modified viscose fibres, as well as a reference fibre were studied. The swelling of these viscose fibres and the breaking length of hand sheets have been determined. Comparing the results, the influence of both, swelling and surface charge on the bonding force, is evident. The allocation of the charges, induced by cationic starch and Carboxmethylcellulose, has been analyzed by Titration, attenuated total reflection spectroscopy (ATR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Titration was used to make a first estimation of the charge distribution within the fibre. Using ATR and XPS, more detailed information about the surface charge has been achieved. All measurement methods showed a significant amount of charge on the fibre surface.  相似文献

The gadolinium (Gd) member of a new type of heteropolytungstates that contain one lanthanide and two transition metal ions in a triangular arrangement is reported. The compound NaK6Gd0.33 [((VO)2Gd(H2O)4K2(H2O)2(Na)(H2O)2)(α-B-AsW9O33)2]·24H2O (1) was prepared from acidified aqueous solutions of Na2WO4·2H2O, As2O3 and VOSO4·5H2O to which Gd3+ ions were added. The single crystal X-ray structure analysis (monoclinic, space group P21/m) shows that the anion consists of two [α-B-AsIIIW9O33]9? trilacunary Keggin-type units linked by two VO2+, one Gd3+ as well as weakly by two K+ and one Na+ ions, resulting in a sandwich-type structure with idealized C 2v symmetry. The problem of positioning crystal lattice and special polyoxometalate sites with different cations is discussed also in connection with supramolecular chemistry aspects and as an option for further research. A fit of the magnetic susceptibility yielded exchange coupling constants of J VV = ?2.55 cm?1 (anti-ferromagnetic) between the vanadium ions and J GdV = 0.6 cm?1 (ferromagnetic) between the Gd and each of the two vanadium ions. The complete magnetochemical analysis also revealed a partial occupancy of the Na+ sites in the counter-cation–water system by Gd3+ ions (0.33 Gd3+ ions in total).  相似文献

Nine different poly-n-alkylterphthalamides have been synthesized, and their properties as alignment layers for chiral smectic C liquid crystals have been determined. Poly-n-hexylterphthalamide is found to be particularly well suited for one of the room temperature mixtures used in this study. The contrast between relaxed states shows an odd-even effect that can probably be explained by the crystal form of the different polymers. The tilt angle found between the relaxed states depends only on the polymer used, not on the inherent tilt of the chiral smectic C phases.  相似文献

The procedure used by many electrochemists in calculating enthalpy in calorimetric measurements of electrolysis reactions is compared to a purely thermodynamic approach, using the data published by Fleischmannet al. [J. Electroanal. Chem., 287 (1990) 293.] as a case study.The set of excess values dH ex/dt=dH obs/dt -dHcalo/dt obtained with the former procedure was neither correlated to any of the experimental parameters nor to the set of values found using thermodynamics. The latter, smaller by factors of up to two orders of magnitude, are shown to follow an expression of the form dH ex/dt=–kI exp (–E a/RT) with an activation enthalpy of about 85 kJ·mol–1. It is suggested that recombination of electrolysis gases may account for this.
Zusammenfassung Das von vielen Elektrochemikern verwendete Verfahren zur Berechnung der Enthalpie in kalorimetrischen Messungen an Elektrolysereaktionen wurde unter Anwendung der von Fleischmann et.al. in einer Fallstudie [J. Electroanal. Chem., 287 (1990) 293.] veröffentlichten Angaben mit einer rein thermodynamischen Näherung verglichen.Eine Reihe von mit der ersten Methode erhaltenen überschu\werten dH ex/dt=dH obs/dt-dH calc/dt korrelierte weder mit den experimentellen Parametern noch mit den entsprechenden, thermodynamisch gefundenen Werten. Letztere, um etwa zwei Grö\enordnungen kleinere Werte konnten durch die Gleichung dH ex/dt= -kI exp (-E a/RT) mit einer Aktivierungsenthalpie von etwa 85 kJ·mol–1 beschrieben werden. Es wird deshalb nahegelegt, da\ dies einer Rekombinierung der Elektrolysegase zugeschrieben werden kann.
